Yeah Cat - how's about a special topic for this? I'm sure everyone will jump at the chance of this offer - I certainly will - probably to include it in with that colouring I'm talking about... oh dear... will my addiction never end? Hmm probably not!

They're returned not because they're defective, but because Topps gave back to each artist a certain number of sketches to do with as they please.

Hello Cat: Your 2 card color Argonath is simply stunning. You might want to reconsider ending this auction early and relisting it with a Reserve as it is certainly worth more than the $500 being bid on it now. Heck you had almost that for your Peter Jackson card and that was a single card compared to this 2 card set. I know the bidders did not meet your Reserve on your last auction but I think this one is different. Any way you go I wish you the very best luck.

i can't keep second guessing myself with the reserves at some point it is in the collectors hands.. i just hope all the sentiment towards the money going to the artist follows suit...

Ed's probably right with the reserve price Cat - you don't want to sell yourself short with these cards!! They're lovely and I do hope you get a good end-price for them! I'm not sure why the Peter Jackson sketch didn't meet the reserve you set on it though I suspect collectors would view it as a novelty sketch card (albeit a stunning full colour one!) rather than a character that contributed to the plot of the film ... if that makes any sense? I know the films wouldn't have been made if it weren't for Jackson's manic devotion to doing them, but his on-screen parts were only ever cameos as he intended them to be in the best Hitchcock tradition which could explain the bidder's reticence when bidding on your auction? At the end of the day, we collector's are a fickle bunch and it's down to you to say 'right, I'm only letting this card go for a minimum of ...' and hold out till you get it if you're able.

Cat, I'm perfectly happy for your book plug to be here, it's just that with all the Evo chatter it's dissappearing fast... It's hard to know where it should go best... but if you are offering to put a LOTR related sketch in it then why not put it in it's own topic in this forum (the prancing pony) it's not card-only
