Thank you Wendi . I haven't seen any of the new ones yet but I think we will only be a few behind you at the moment - which of course means we will see the whole season about 8 weeks before you!
You will have to tell me when you finally get to see the new season and what you think about them.
I do have this much to say about the last two episodes I saw:
I thought "Reunion" was alright but I am not a real big Ronon fan so it wasn't one of my favorites. I did however like Teyla, Sheppard and McKay in this one. If you do like Ronon however then this will be a good one for you because it has to do with him meeting a group of friends from his homeworld of Seteda. As for Sam Carter she is still getting on my nerves and I can't believe they made her the leader of the Atlantis expedition. Since when do leaders go on rescue missions. I have never seen Weir, Landry, Hammond or even O'Neill go on missions were they were really not needed. I guess the writers wanted us to know that not only can Sam lead but she can do a rescue better then anyone else

One more comment on Carter, how in the world did she earn a promotion to full Colonel

At least I didn't have to suffer through yet another promotion I didn't think she earned. The only promotion she ever truly earned in my opinion was the one for Major but then again back then I had way more respet for her as a character.I also have a problem with them stating that she is the foremost expert on Ancient technology and Replicator activity. I will maybe give them the replicator one but no way in you know what is she smarter then McKay on ancient technology. I am so sick of her being this super person who is just an Astrophysicist but is also able to things that are way out of her field of expertise. She also comes across as smug at one point in the episode to me

Now the second episode "Doppleganger" was the best of the season so far to me

While I am sad that they yet again killed off a character I liked I found the episode entertaining from beginning until end. I actually found myself tryng to figure things out before they did and I haven't done that for a while with an episode. I do miss Beckett but I have to say that the new doctor isn't bad and Jewel Staite does do a great job even if she does seem a bit young for the job. Then again my sister is 26 and she still looks like she is 15

As for Carter at least in this one I didn't find her getting on my nerves but that could be that she was ion it for maybe what felt like 15 minutes of the episode so that might of had something to do with it also

The trailers here have got me a bit worried. They focus totally on a new person leading the Atlantis team. Yep you guessed it, your favourite and mine Sam Carter . I have to say though your reviews have eased a few of my worries but if she treats Rodney like Lee I can see a lots of appearing in my posts
They do seem to be milking that Carter is coming to Atlantis a little to much in the magazines as well as in the adds. I feel bad for the other characers and their actors that portray them because its like if it wasn't for Tapping/Carter coming to the show then why watch. The funny thing I found out about a lot of Atlantis fans myself included is that they felt their was no need for Carter to come at all. I do know the first time an alien falls for her or someone at the base falls for her I may gag. Also if I hear any mention at all at Jack/Sam I will scream

I thought I escaped that
back when I started watching Atlantis, then they brought her in.
However the biggest thing that will upset me with Carter coming to Atlantis will be if the writers start making McKay the buffoon to Carter's brilliance.

Only time will tell and as of this moment I am still not convinced that the writers won't go this way.
I don't really understand the US rating system, in the UK shows are judged on how many millions of people watch them. Of course if it is a BBC show they see it is popular and then cancel it . I think you could be right though that SGA is in danger and I am a little embarrassed to say I have been making contingencies plans for the inevitable.
I don't care for the US Rating system because it relies on people with a Nielson box. I can watch whatever I want or not watch whatever I don't want because I don't have a Nielson box so basicallythe ratings of a show are not affected by what I am viewing. It is very confusing and Sci Fi seems to think that they are a major network now and if the ratings aren't as high as a show that was on NBC, CBS or ABC then maybe it should be cancelled. They seem to forget also that it was Stargate SG1 that got them their very first high ratings for a television show on their network.
I am now totally hooked on Ghost Whisperer and Blood Ties. Unfortunately Blood Ties has 'cancelled after the first season' written all over it so I need to start searching for something to fill the gap. At least Eureka is still hanging in there.... just
I just started watching "Pushing Up Daisies" but that may not last long either since the creator has a different idea on how to write an interesting show. I personally love it because it has a Tim Burton feel to it and I love Tim Burton

I also enjoy watching "Supernatural" even though the two new girls are going to get on my nerves fast. The demon one isn't so bad but the thief one is pushing my buttons.
Thank you again for your brilliant reviews. I am just waiting for Boggy to give me the second part on tape and then I will have a Stargate fest - just me, a cup of tea and Rodney
I have my fingers crossed though for a season 5 of Atlantis because I would really miss Hewlett/McKay :'( I can'twait to hear your thoughts when you finally get to see the episodes
