Thanks for letting us know Smiley

Jo/FTY will probably be most interested in this and sadly Oz is asleep at the moment... I hope they have some left when they wake up.

Literally as many as you can afford if the last set is anything to go by!

I think it takes about 7 cases of the last set to get a master set of case pulled cards  Huh

But who knows? We don't really know a lot about this set but we have to stump up the money now  Undecided

Plus, there's no shipping charge for people who live in the continental US.  I have a two-box order with Georgetown from when they were charging $60 per box (plus shipping), and now I'm trying to decide if I should cancel that order and place a three-box order with Potomac.

Has anyone here done business with either company and can comment on customer service and delivery?

Gimli (of this forum) bought 5 cases from them (of the PoA set). He always gets his cases from there - although he's been buying from cards inc recently.

He's in the UK - the only draw back is that from them you ALWAYS pay import duty - but of course that's not a problem for you KB MUM  Cool

With 10,000 box run this POA update what does everyone think about the future value after release?

I don't think it will go to $200 a box anytime soon - and depending on how fast they release the other movies (i think they are going to go back and do them?) people may readjust their $$$ for those.

Like many are doing for LOTR Trilogy.  Other than Frodo's GH vest most costume cards can be had for $10 or $15.

I think maybe $80 on the box prices after 2 months of release.

It's way to difficult to say, we don't know what the inserts are or the ratios for inserts. It depends also on if rumours about the set are true (on signers).

I don't expect the meteroric rise of the last set but who knows? I hope it's not a big flop  Undecided

According to other forum members it is 10,000 boxes (or 5,000 more than last time).

I hope it doesn't flop because I just placed my order for 5 cases through Potomac.  I am a little nervous but I didn't want to miss the boat on this one.  I guess worst case senario I should be able to sell some back for what I paid per box.

I hope the product doesn't suck!

From what I read on the site, for preorders you need to put down 10 percent immediately if you pay by credit card.  But if you pay by any other method, including PayPal, it's 25 percent within five days of the order.  The balance is due at the time of shipment.

Thanks for the head's up on cancelling orders, sonarghost.  I'll check Georgetown's policy.

I sent an email to Potomac this morning and got this back 12 hours later - that's what I call a fast turnaround!

Hi Jo,

It looks like you placed your order before we had a chance to get back to you.  We will reserve the boxes for you.  We will need a 25% deposit now and the remaining balance before we ship your order.  If you would prefer to pay the full amount of the order up front, that is fine. We will include your account number and password with your order
confirmation. Please let us know if there are any questions you have that remain unanswered.

Thank you for the order!
Stuart

Am very excited now... this is the first time i have bought boxes of cards rather than singles! November is too far away :'(

Hey FTY - congratulations!

It's much better opening boxes than buyine off ebay - not financially for LOTR any more but it's great all the same!

In my long life I have opened 7 boxes of cards now so I believe I am a veteran (LOL - actually I believe myself to be a complete newbie and have yet to pull a really decent card - yes we got Sirius but Mark opened that pack - grrrrrrrrr).

I am sure you will have a whale of a time opening those boxes... what you can do is open 2 and then see if the price of the third goes up - I personally reckon you will last 4 hours before opening the last one  Grin

These will be my first boxes, too, FTY.  I can't wait to get them!  My big problem is that prices on some of the props and costumes are coming down a bit, and I just can't seem to stop myself from bidding on them.  Not that I've won any of the auctions, but still...I guess it's time to start saving for the update!
