Well it is good news the cards are now in circulation.  I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Artbox and Cards Inc for destroying every ounce of my excitement over this release - great job, really makes me look forward to the next set of cards you release.
If this is the kind of service Cards Inc are going to supply, Artbox really need to look at another way of distributing their cards. This is the first release that I have heard Sharon say she doesn't give a stuff about. Her enthusiasm has completely died. The thrill of opening a case and then searching Ebay is gone. Suffice to say, the only thing I think will cheer her up is a case of hotboxes  Grin

Chris will call you today, you are indeed right we now have a policy of making sure everyone gets them the same day, due to people complaing on others getting a jump start.

and Sharon to say this ''I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Artbox and Cards Inc for destroying every ounce of my excitement over this release - great job, really makes me look forward to the next set of cards you release '' GROW UP !

Why Roz, may i ask. Someone who i dont know decides that because we want to ship product to everyone on the same day ruins the excitement of buying a product. Let everyone decide they will buy products in future not because of the product but because they have nothing better to do than worry about the fact that someone else got a product the same time as anyone else. This constitues to me someone who needs to get a grip, so when you say i have to do better than that - i really dont think it needs to be bettered.

Then you wonder why companies dont respond on the website officially, when people make stupid comments about thier products for no resaon as to whats included in the product, but beacuse of the crap that ''sometimes'' get spouted from irrational people

Maybe i didn't get your point, Darren, don't know, my English has still to get impoved.

But at the moment i think, you absolutely didn't understand what Sharon wanted to express.  Undecided

She is so right! The only thing she did was describing her personal feelings as a collector who can't await to get this product in hands. You wait 2 days, 3 days, can't await to get your own boxes. But nothing happens. 1 week later, nothing happened. 1 and a half, still no boxes. Everyone in the forum from US has fun, on ebay are many nice cards and you can only sit and wait for your boxes. Can't buy anything, can't sell spares, can't have fun.  Oh yes, this definately destroys the fun with the product at this moment! Can't you imagine how a collector must feel?  Roll Eyes

2 weeks later is horrible, 2 weeks are very much, if you see it this way, from the collector's point of view. The fun has gone, the main fun happens in the first two weeks after realease and only if you can take part of it with own boxes. Waiting without seeing the sense why you have to wait destroys this fun and the excitement for the next product with it. Not completely, it can come back, but at the moment of waiting it does. Can't you understand this?  Roll Eyes

Sharon is upset (and others, as well) because people in the US started receiving their cases on May 23, while people in the UK started receiving them on June 2.  There wasn't that big of a delay with other HP releases.  Thomas is right that this dampens people's enthusiasm.  It's hard to buy cards one didn't pull, trade or sell spares, and share in the excitement when half of the collectors receive their cards so much later than everyone else.  And remember, it is not the fault of the collectors that shipment was delayed.  They have a legitimate right to complain.

Artbox has been good about staggering shipment so that distributors in the US and UK receive their cards at roughly the same time.  In fact, I remember with POAU that one big UK dealer had his cards on eBay days before anyone in the US did.  Perhaps next time, Cards Inc. should make better shipping arrangements with Artbox.

And still waiting  Hopping Mad
still ... waiting .....  Hopping Mad
.... where on God's green Earth has he posted them to - Timbuktu? Angry
It's the first and last time I bother buying anything from this company, especially with the dreadful attitude the customer services seem to have and the after-sales assistance is rude and non-existant. Sad
If this firm was in industry they would be bankrupt very quickly.

Darren - there was no need to be so rude to Sharon.
Maybe you can't remember the thrill of collecting cards and the keen anticipation of a new card release, or perhaps earning vast amounts of money from the hard-working people who visit this Forum has made you think you're above all this and give you the mistaken idea you can tell mature adults to 'grow up' - hate to puncture this rosy view of how you ought to be treating people - it's patronising, rude and uncalled-for.

Does having people tell you the bare truth hurt you that much?
You knew that there were people here waiting for this product so they could sell them - you just didn't care.

I arranged to go get my cases from cards inc today

I rang to check they were in and got a really rude lady telling me that I couldn't pick them up so I told her I had arranged to and she said well if you have been told you can I suppose you can then.

I headed off to cards inc and was running a little late so we called them only to be told they had been sent out, so we just had to turn round and go home

I am seriously annoyed with them

what terrible customer service

I think maybe i should now tell the conclusion to the story

I received a nice call from cards inc a few days ago to explain the situation with not picking up stuff and I am fine with their policy i actually understand the situation and on this issue I very often can't get to cards inc to pick stuff up as i have another job too.
My big complaint was that I went most the way there only to be told sorry they have been sent out. I assue you can see why I was a little annoyed. I have cleared this up with cards inc and am happy.

As a dealer and a collector i can understand people want the cards asap. I for one am glad they are here and shipped to customers as i got a lot of Emails and phone calls perstering me as to where they were.

I love the set and i loved opening my boxes as did my customers

Well, that might be all well and good Chris - I'm delighted you got everything sorted with them and it's all hunky dory for you that you have your cases and been able to send out your pre-orders.  Wink

Others aren't so lucky and we're still sitting here twiddling our thumbs AND we get smart-ar$e comments from the Cards Inc MD just to rub salt into the wounds a bit deeper. Angry

It just sucks!! Hopping Mad Hopping Mad
Oh and Darren ... before you go shooting off your big mouth at me - I'm not some 20-year-old card collector who you can push around and bully with your 'observations' - I regard card collecting as a hobby to take my mind off more mundane and unpleasant things I would rather not think about - you might prefer watching the football or making large piles of cash ... to each their own ... but I'll be jiggered if my hobby is spoiled by someody who can't be bothered to do their job properly anymore. Angry
If ordering and selling card sets is SO beneath you these days, then please let someone else have the license to distribute them instead - that will leave you more time for your jolly QVC jaunts which seem to be more important to you!

I hope Artbox is reading this thread and taking notes at how pee'd-off we are over this ....

It is now 5 June 2006 and through absolutely no fault of the person I am buying my cards from I still have received nothing.

I thought I would start my reply that way because quite frankly I am amazed that the MD of Cards Inc found it necessary to sign up to the Shack purely to slag me off.  Why he couldn't have joined the Shack to explain the delay in the distribution of GOFU is a mystery to me.  OK to address his points

My comment had nothing to do with when GOFU left your premises.  I have no problem with the fact that you wanted all of your UK dealers to receive them on the same day.  My comment was about the delay that had already occurred.

I'm sorry but this makes no sense whatsoever.  What do you actually mean.

I have made no comment on what is included in this set.  I can't, I haven't received my cards yet. I did not make any sweeping statements about everyone having their enjoyment killed, I said mine was.  As for crap spouted by irrational people, may I suggest you read your own posting.

If you had been a regular reader of the Shack you would have known that on quite a few occasions I have recommended Collector Zone to new collectors.  I have also bought items from you direct over many years.  I will now heed your advice by growing up and deciding more carefully where my money is spent.  I will never again buy anything from Cards Inc or Collector Zone.  And Darren I am sure you couldn't give a monkeys about my little purchases but just remember it is people like me that keep you in business.

I think it is just a shame you couldn't be bothered to sign on two weeks ago to explain why the cards had been delayed.  I also think it quite amusing that, having re-read this whole topic, I am not your harshest critic by any means.  But then again I am not dealer and so I am an easy target.

Thank you to my Yak friends for the support you have given me in this matter.

That's exactly what i understood and that's really comprehensible.

And i still think, Darren didn't get the point and will post something like "Sorry, i misunderstood". May my hope be fulfilled.  Praying
