With all of the hype in the last couple of days, I haven't been able to post my new sketches!! I'm planning to get them both colored!

The eyes of that Treebeard by Chandler are rather piercing in the flesh don't you think? It's like he can read you - which after so many years on this earth (or in fact - Middle Earth) maybe he can

OOOhhhh those will look great colored up.  Did you see the Legolas that Budd colored up, I can't seem to get the pic loaded up, but he has it on his website (http://mechanicalpencil1138.com/), and if you click on it, it brings up the before and after....simply stunning!!!!  I just sent off a few cards to Mr. Chandler to be colored.  I think they will look great!!!

wow, Z, dont color that middle eowyn sketch. that one is just perfect as it is. Leave that one be, it might get more techincal in the process, but that one is so nice unmodified, why mess it up?  that would be one of the few times i would just let it be.

I'm beginning to think Topps burned my cards and only put out a few, there are so many un-accounted for?

I am hoping they saved them all for the "no purchase necessary" send in.  I would be delighted to get any sketch, but a RAM would be nice.  Of course I did set a goal of 10 pack pulled Kayanan's and only hit 9, I guess I could count that.

BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO SELL THEM...!!!
THEY'RE GREAT!...super-idiosynchratic-personal vision-evolved characterization-nothing like them-
unique and unusual imagery-powerfully suggestive and really weird cool!  Only those who bought cases of these Evolution sketch cards to sell (ie...card stores, etc.) are selling your work, and for handsome prices too!
I was lucky to get an EARLY Ebay 'Cut Off Fingers of Sauron' and pulled a FANTASTIC Frodo fingers with the ONE RING...I would NEVER sell these beauties...and by the look of your work on lotrsketchcards.com...who would?

Hope all is well (health), thanks for your GREAT work...and I'm sure EVERYONE is hunting for your Evolution cards each and every day...I know I am...we're fanatics you know...!

I was given an opportunity to correct a card that I hated to submit in the first place....I had an Legolas card out there that made me gringe everytime I saw it. I was able to get my hands on it and correct the poor thing. So here is the REAL card as it should be...

I agree it looked absolutely brilliant before, but I am glad I did, as I think it looks absolutely stunning now!!!  I just love how brilliant jeff colors his cards!!

Hi Everyone, I've been away for a month- had a family emergency.  I don't want to drag out an old, dead horse, but I do OWE it to Topps to let everyone know the outcome of my sketch card(If you'll remember, the uruk-hai helmet - discussed long ago somewhere on pages 25-27, I believe.) issue.
To recap, I returned a sketch card to TOPPS because "I" thought it was not "acceptable", and they sent me a nice note along with the card back telling me to check the yellow pages for dealers in my area.....

I subsequently called them and explained to them that I didn't feel they addressed my concern. So, I sent the card back and they sent me a replacement level A sketch.  THE END.

Again, I know this issue has been discussed and put to rest. I'm certainly not trying to resurrect it, I just thought everyone should know the outcome.

Just wondering...which artist, what image Level A card did Topps send you?

...and...My wife and I sent in  10 3" x 5"  index cards each for the June (?) Topps drawing
of  Evolution card inserts which I would assume would also include Sketch cards...especially Level A sketch cards...and I would guess Topps put your returned Uruk-Hai helmet sketch into the mix...wouldn't it be ironic if..........
