Just got 4 TTT costumes. How do these Swatches look. I haven't seen to many LOTR Costumes. As you know I'm more of a Harry Potter fiend.  ROFL!

They look.................. particularly gorgeous you lucky thing!  The Arwen one is almost impossible to get, let alone get a lovely one and the Galadriel is a very nice variant.  Congratulations  Grin

Those are nice!  Question though, Do all the Galadriel cards(or most) have some of the embroidery, or were there a lot with just plain fabric?

I'm pretty sure the one I got Graham was plain.  But who knows that could be the variant - or not  Wink

I believe all of the Galadriel's I've seen have some kind of embellishment. The Arwen is definately the hardest to find. Is the embroidery silver or gold? On my computer it's showing up silver.

here is a picture of mine:

My Galadriel has a flower at the top right. These pics are scaled down that's why they are grainy, but the cloth is clear!

It actually has some of both Silver and gold.

The Galadriel has an embroidered White flower.

My Galad has an embroidered flower, sequin etc. My Eowyn has some ruffled fabric and green stitching (I think that's normal) my wormtongue has a similar texture and I have two details/strips of gold on my Arwen... (thanks Jas).

The best Arwen Jas ever saw (I hope he might have a pic somewhere still) had a flower in it Wink

Don't even ask what it went for... I can't think of money that high (although I am entering the EuroLottery for a chance of 130 million this week Wink) - I have my eye on a fabulous 64 acre place in Yorkshire that's a mere mill.. (I think it's a bargain but it probably needs a mill worth of work doing to it ROFL!)

Funny you mentioned that one Roz I actually bought a card from a seller who had that one (maybe not the exact one but it had a perfect flower in the center of the swatch) pictured in the auction.  Needless to say that wasn't the one I got, but considering I picked it up for like $120 or so at the time and it had a better pattern than the one I had I couldn't complain to much.  And the card also didn't meet it's reserve so I made an offer and he accepted.  It was a little outside the proper ebay procedure so I was actually a little nervous about never getting the card but the seller had like 600 + feedback so I thought it was a decent bet.

Even scarier is I bought both a master FOTR costume and TT costume set from a guy who's auctions didn't meet reserve.  I offered him like $750 for both sets and he accepted.  He said he was selling off his collection because they were having a baby and couldn't justify having all the money tied up in a collection.  He was Canadian so I felt I could trust him more Angel  Canadian's as a whole seem more honest than Americans.  Anyway it took a while, but it all worked out and I thought I got a pretty good deal.  A couple of good offline transactions, but could have been a disaster.  I think I know better now.
