According to the upcoming release section at NSU......The five HP sets listed are: GOFU, Sorcerer's Stone wooden box set, Chamber of Secrets wooden box set, Chamber of Secrets (regular set), and literary art set (foil packs).

I think that seems very reasonable.  The wooden box sets are supplementary to the regular sets and don't involve a hugh monetary investment (as far as we know at this point).  If this is the extent of Artbox's Harry Potter licensed releases for 2006, collectors shouldn't be too overwhelmed.  That is as long as the product quality does not drop.

On a side note, do you think we can expect a SSU or a CoSU?  I'm sure Artbox will want to saturate the market and get every ounce out of the HP license as they can.  But I doubt if they will be able to aquire much more SS memorabilia.  Just a thought....

I'm not positive, but I believe there won't be update sets for SS or COS.  The reason for releasing an update set is that often a movie studio doesn't want certain images released right away (like Fienne's Voldemort), so the images are excluded from the first set and included in the update.  SS and COS came out so long ago that this isn't a problem.

Oh dear I really hope Artbox don't release too many sets this year.  Like everyone else I only have a set budget for cards so it will be a case of missing some sets rather than spending more money.

I reckon if Artbox spread the sets apart and leave some until next year they would have much better sales and they would also have plenty of time to make sure the sets are totally amazing.  I mean it is not like HP is going out of fashion - with a new book at least 18 months away and three more films the HP franchise has a lot of life in it yet.  Better to keep people interested and able to afford the cards rather than alienate the collectors by pricing them out of the market.

One set we have forgotten about is the Artbox literary set. According to Non Sport Update, they still plan to produce that.

Do we need another art set anyways Roll Eyes We already have the very colorfull Mary GrandPre set.

I agree with Sharon, we still have three more movies so that means three more sets, possibly six counting an Update, for the next 5 years to come so why rush to get all this out now. I think GoFU and CoS should come out this year and next year the trunk sets with the OotP set and Update and so on....

Indeed and it can't be complete since the 7th book won't be out in time.

It's just another way to milk the cash cow. Will we be taken in? I don't think so. I'll give any more art sets a miss before the release of the final book.

So this is gonna be a "Movie Poster" set, eh?

prolly cards featuring the international posters for each movie.......45 cards?, that'd be 7 cards per movie, if they have the posters for Order of the Phoenix ready by then.......can't see how that'd be possible tho, considering these are slated for March, and OOTP isn't slated for theaters until 2k7

5 costume cards for $50 ain't a bad deal.......and I wouldn't worry about 'material used in the making', they make SEVERAL duplicate costumes for every wardrobe change, just in case.....
