Hi Wendi. My turn for the next reveals... SG1 Bounty. This is a great mostly-away-from-the-SGC episode. For the umpteenth time, SG1 has thwarted a plan by Netan, so he puts an open invitation to nail them all. The main lump of the episode revolves around Cam's class reunion. Vala goes with him just as a friend but introduces herself as his date - Cam's not happy - he was talking to his unrequited love at the time The assassins were fun trying to take each other out. We found out that Cam is, in fact, Clark Kent Stand alone and no story arc advancement. Atlantis. The Game. Maybe I'm becoming a bit jaded but I'm getting fed up with stories-in-a-village episodes. This one was above average but not much more than that. Makay and Sheppard have been playing a computer game in which they each have a village to develop. There are strict rules about what level of intelligence and technology they can give their characters (they both cheat ). Then the rub. It turns out that the Atlantians had set up an experiment and in fact, the villages and people were real. The games consols were instruction devices to guide the people, who thought they have an "Oracle" guiding them. When our heroes visit the village, they don't realise that their game was real life until they see flags and portraits of Rodney all over the place. The development of the villagers had stagnated for thousands of years until recent instructions started coming through again. We then learn that Sheppard's village has a more military feel to it. Elizabeth orders a stop to all this but both villages start to think and act for themselves giving the excuse that they thought it it what their respective "Oracles" would have wanted. War is about to break out. The best bit for me was the fact that Rodney's village refuse to eat citrus fruit because the Oracle had told them it's poison. Sorry I'm not as good as Sharon summing up episodes. I don't do spoilers. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible

Thank you so much for those reviews and I have to say you didn't do half bad on them They both sound like filler episodes until the big climaxes on the season finales but that is okay because not every episode can be full of tension. I can't wait to see Vala at the Reunion she sounds like she may be a riot As for the Game, I can't wait to see Mckay and Sheppard especially with your comment of them cheating and just the thought of McKay banning anything citrus has me That is so McKay Maybe I'm becoming a bit jaded but I'm getting fed up with stories-in-a-village episodes. Also if I had my way SG1 would go through the ring more and SGA would explore more of Atlantis because they barely do that anymore

If you want me to continue to give you spoilers for season 4 just let me know and if you don't want anymore spoilers let me know that also. I can do it either way Like I told you before I love spoilers and I can just never get enough of them
There is no such thing as a bad spoiler so spoil away I have just seen SG and you are going to love the Vala/Cam scenes, especially the ones with his mum and dad

Stargate - Bad Guys I know I have said this about many of the recent episodes, but this was the best so far SG1 are still looking for the stash of Ancient weapons and decide to try a promising looking planet. They go through the gate and end up in a tomb. Or do they? Cam and Teal'c go for a wander and nearly gate crash a party. They then realise they are in a museum. As the race is obviously advanced they decide to gate out and then follow proper first contact procedure. Unfortunately the dialing device is a fake, just for display, and they are stuck. Things then get out of hand and they are mistaken for terrorists who are trying to over throw the government . You may wonder why I put a but when you see how things unfold you will know They decide if they can hold out for 6 hours Landry will dial in and they can tell him the predicament. This leads to them pretending to take hostages . Cam is quite convincing as a hostage taker but poor Daniel is hopeless . One little bit that tickled me was Daniel saying hello to the negotiator You know how he says hellllo When he speaks to a negotiator he assures them that they will hurt no one, to which Teal's give him a filthy look. Daniel quickly adds that they will hurt people unless their (bogus) demands are met . This is the sort of episode Daniel does best. There is a bit of shooting but lots and lots of funny one liners. Vala nearly kills everyone by pretending to start a timer on a bomb and then realises she can't switch it off . Teal'c has possibly the best line in the show but that would spoil things if I told you - sorry . It is episodes like this that make you really, really sad this is the last series. Oh did I mention Sam wasn't in it

I know I have said this about many of the recent episodes, but this was the best so far Your reviews on how great the episodes are keep getting me more and more excited for season 10 of SG1 and season 3 of SGA to continue here. Only a month to go You know how he says hellllo When he speaks to a negotiator he assures them that they will hurt no one, to which Teal's give him a filthy look. Daniel quickly adds that they will hurt people unless their (bogus) demands are met I can just see his innocent little hello I can't wait to see this scene it sounds so soooo good I also can't wait to see him try to be a bad guy for once it should be quite This is the sort of episode Daniel does best. There is a bit of shooting but lots and lots of funny one liners Daniel does great one liners especially when he was talking to Jack back when he was on the show. He has only improved now that Vala is their I loved the zings they kept throwing back and fourth at each other in previous episodes. This episode is sounding like a lot of fun and it helps that they are leaving the really serious issues for awhile and doing lighter episodes. Oh did I mention Sam wasn't in it NOW THAT IS THE BEST NEWS YET ABOUT THIS EPISODE Why oh why do we have to have her in 14 episodes of Atlantis What could she possibly do that Rodney or even Zelenka couldn't do Never mind I know they need someone on the show sending doe eyes to the leader on SGA because we enjoyed it so much when it kept happening on SG1 *note sarcasm* Sorry another rant finally off my chest It is episodes like this that make you really, really sad this is the last series. Well you know when a show keeps getting better and better the networks love to take it away from you What I don't understand is that "Stargate SG1" and "Battlestar Galactica" got basically the same low ratings yet SG1 is cancelled while BSG is getting a season 4 but with only 13 episodes instead of 20. I guess I am glad that SG1 wasn't renewed because I am not sure my favorite character would have signed back on for season 11 but he did sign on for both DVD movies

Thing is Battlestar is still exciting and I hate to say it but the writting on both SG1 & Atlantis leaves a lot to be desired Half the time they dont seem to know what to do with the charecters and the story lines suffer as a conciquence of this. De Orc :'(

I understand what you are saying but while I did give Battlestar Galactica many chances throughout season 1 and 2, I found that it got to be the same thing everytime. Who was a cylon/who wasn't a cylon and what terrible disaster was going to befall them next. It just started getting to depressing to watch because every week it would be one terrible diaster after another with no hope in site. While I know people like that kind of show I just couldn't enjoy it as much. I guess I am one of those people who can do serious drama but every now and then I want a little lightheardeness to make things seem not so bleek. I think that's why I enjoy SG1 and SGA so much because they give us that terrible situation (Ori) but then they give is a break with episodes like the 200th one. I do find SG1 and SGA still exciting but I get what you mean about the writers not knowing what to with some of the characters and the worst expample of that to me is Sam Carter. I guess I just feel sad that this is it for SG1 and when I found out BSG was getting another chance it just made me a little sadder because SG1 wasn't.

Well last nights episode of Stargate was great a bit more like it use to be LOL so I have to eat some of my words Which episode would that be and is it SG1 or SGA I love it when they remember what made them so great in the first place For everyone like me who is waiting for the rest of the seasons of both shows to continue in the US the wait will finally be over on Friday, April 13. A whole week later then previously advertised from sci-fi I also found out that season four of Stargate Atlantis will start in the fall instead of the summer time like it usualy did in the pastl. I just hope Sci-Fi knows what they are doing with this move because their is a lot of competition in the fall and the summer time was a great time to air it without all the worries. Then again these are the guys who ruined the great Friday night stack of SG1, SGA and BSG so nothing really surprises me anymore from them

I also found out that season four of Stargate Atlantis will start in the fall instead of the summer time This could be a good thing - maybe they are starting later so that you don't have a big break in the middle like now . Stargate Atlantis - The Ark Well this really will be a short review (I know I always say that then waffle on but this time I mean it) as I really didn't like this episode. It starts off with Rodney, John, Taylor and Ronan exploring a disused space station which has been built in the centre of a hollowed out moon. John wants to leave but Rodney starts playing with the controls and manages to 'wake up' one of the builders. It turns out the planet they are orbiting used to be attacked by the Wraith and so the inhabitants built an 'Ark' based on Wraith beaming technology to keep their best and brightest citizen safe until the attacks stopped. Unfortunately due to a malfunction they were in stasis longer than they should have been and now the planet below is complete uninhabited - there is a little twist here but I won't tell you, you need some reason to stay with this to the end. Due to a completely implausible set of circumstances John has to fly the 'moon' into the planets atmosphere and save everyone. I know I have made this sound incredibly dull but it was . I am not sure if a run of fantastic episodes has spoilt me but I just kept thinking 'what am I watching'. There was a few good lines but something was missing but I am not sure what. The thing that irritated me the most was the jeopardy they put the characters in this week. I know that the team nearly gets killed most weeks but Superman would have been hard pushed to get out of this one. Then all of a sudden a Puddle Jumper shows up, rescues everyone except John, who then makes a landing no human being could possibly survive and end of episode. Oh there was a little Rodney joke at the end but nothing to save the show. A very poor five out of ten :'(

This could be a good thing - maybe they are starting later so that you don't have a big break in the middle like now I just hope the ratings stay good I doubt that showing Stargate Atlantis in October instead of July will stop them for making us wait for the second half of the season later on Only time will tell I guess, I just want the ratings to be great so we get a season 5 "The Ark" sounds like an episode that stated that we must remember that John Sheppard is a hero and can do even the impossible. I like Sheppard don't get me wrong but it does get rather boring having his character do the impossible at least once in a season I will just have to check it out myself to see how he saves the day this time. Thanks for the warning though about how dull the episode may be for me I hope the joke at the end wasn't at Rodney's expense. I don't mind the occasional joke every now and again but I do get tired of them picking on him a lot of the time. I did like how I am hearing how Ronon is starting to form a friendship with McKay instead of just Teyla and Sheppard from other episodes I heard spoilers about. Is their any interaction between these two like that in this episode Thanks again for the great reviews and I can't wait to see these two shows for myself. Only a month to go

Stargate - Family Ties This is an awkward episode to describe. It had the makings of being a classic but something was missing . It starts off with a man contacting the SGC offering information about a Jaffa attack on Earth in exchange for asylum. It turns out the man is Vala's estranged dad. There are loads of twists and turns, crossing and double crossing the result of which is that her dad is a conman and she is gutted because she was starting to trust him. There are some great lines (as usual) and some touching moments like when Teal'c acts all fatherly towards Vala but it just wasn't enough. I think I wanted Daniel to put his arm around her and tell her it was OK but he was very distant. In fact I feel they have cooled the Daniel/Vala thing way too much. A few episodes ago they were going on a semi date and now it is left to Sam and Landry to be the emotional comfort. The other thing that really bothered me was his age. I am a bit of a stickler for things like this and he should have been much, much older. Vala was a host and presumably she used to use a sarcophagus ie stayed young. We have certainly got the impression she was a host for quiet a while - well she visited enough planets as a Goa'uld. However her father was the right age for her age , if you see what I mean. Maybe I am just being picky cos the next review is awful :'( Atlantis - Sunday Now Bogleg was supposed to give you this review because I couldn't face it. Honestly I only have one word for you.... Hankies, lots and lots of hankies and maybe a pot of hot, sweet tea :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( x a million. In fact there are not enough :'( for this episode :'( :'( :'(

All I can say for "Family Ties" is what were the writers thinking from the sound of this episode I guess they forgot about Vala being a Gouald for a while (that's what you get when you have to many writers not reading other writers scripts ). I also don't like the thought of them cooling down the Daniel/Vala relationship because to me their friendship is one of the best things about the show right now. I just love how they had a love/hate relationship that turned into friendship between the two. I guess Sam helping her out was just to show us look the two girls on the show are the bestest of friends don't you know As for Snday :'( :'( :'( I am already dreading this episode :'( :'( :'( I felt really bad for the writer and Paul McGillion. The writer (Martin Gero) because he was told he had to kill off one of his favorite characters on the show and Paul because I will miss him terribly and from the interviews it sounds like he was completely shocked that they were doing that to his character. I wish that the creators of shows would remember that the fans don't just watch a show for the story but we also watch the shows for it's interesting and fun characters :'( STARGATE ATLANTIS SEASON TWO DVD' S ARE COM<ING TOMORROW FOR THE US I can't wait to listen to the commentaries especially since David Hewlett does a lot of them

It actually starts off with Vala and Sam getting back from a girly shopping trip. I did think it was a set up for when Sam moves to Atlantis ie to show she has a personal life. As for Sunday :'( :'(. I am even sadder now that I know he didn't want to leave :'( And even worse Boggy pointed out to me that next week is the last ever Stargate :'( ... except for the films . I still can't quite believe we will finish the series before you start again. So unfair on the US fans

You are so right there! It actually starts off with Vala and Sam getting back from a girly shopping trip. I did think it was a set up for when Sam moves to Atlantis ie to show she has a personal life. To tell you the truth I have seen enough of Sam's personal life to last me a lifetime I lost count of how many guys fawned all over her on the show and one of my biggest fears for Stargate Atlantis is that McKay will become another male who will fall at the feet of Carter The happiest moment for me in Stargate was when McKay called her a Dumb Blonde I loved the fact that he was her equal but did you notice how they always had to have Carter be smarter then even him. I wonder how they think they will get away with that on Atlantis since we all know now just how smart McKay really is As for Sunday . I am even sadder now that I know he didn't want to leave It does make it harder doesn't it :'( I feel so bad for him and I just think it was a stupid waste of a great character if you ask me. Here is a part of the article that I read it from; "Just as work on Phantoms was ending, McGillion received some news that would affect his future on Atlantis. "We shot most of this story on location, and when we got back to the studio for the final day of filming, one of the ADs said that the producers wanted to talk to me," recalls the actor. "I didn't think anything of it. Truthfully, I thought they might be telling me, 'Great job in Phantoms'. However, when I went upstairs and they closed the office door, I knew it was serious. They said 'Stargate SG-1 isn't being renewed, and we're not sure yet if Atlantis is going to be either. We need to shake things up a bit, and the long and short of it is we're going to kill off Beckett.'
"Needless to say I was stunned, for lack of a better word. Iddin't see that coming at all. Personally, I felt like I was doing a good job on the programme and I think the producers thought so as well. I sat there and listened to the reasons behind this move and what they were looking to do. I was sad and dissappointed by their decision , but yet this is a business. I understand that and I respect these guys for giving me the chance to play a character like Carson Beckett. I'm not being political when I say that. I'm being honest. Most actors never get a dream job like that in their entire career, and I had it for three years.
"After they told me, I said 'I'm dissappointed and shocked, but obviously you're smart guys. The Stargate franchise has been around for a long time, so you know what you're doing. So how do we move on from here? How do you want me to handle this?' We would shoot Beckett's final episode [Sunday] out of sequence, and the producers asked me if I wanted to leave after that. I said that I wanted to finish my contract the way I went into it, with integrity. Not only that but I wanted to honour the character as well as the cast and crew that I had been working with all this time." After finishing work on Sunday the actor returned to the Atlantis set to film the remaining episodes leading up to Beckett's swansong. "The final story I did this season was The Ark," says McGillion, pausing briefly to collect himself. "Only a few people knew it was my last day, including Martin Wood. He wanted to make a speech about me in front of the cast and crew once we wrapped, but I said to Alex Pappas 'I can't be there on set because I'll break into tears. Just tell everyone that I'll see them at the wrap party and shake each of their hands for being so sonderful to me over the years'. So I just let it go like that and I hope I went out, hopefully, with dignity and class." In the aforementioned Sunday, our Atlatis heroes are enjoying a rare day off, but it's not long before an emergency arises, and it's one that ultimately takes Carson Beckett's life. "As difficult as it was for me to film this episode, I can only imagine that it must have been equally as difficult for Martin Gero to write it, having been such a big fan of Beckett as well as myself over the past three years. That being said, I think Martin did my character proud." Smiles McGillion.
"That week, people on set had this look in their eyes as if to say, 'Jeez, I feel so sorry for you.' At one point I made a joke out of the situation and referred to myself as 'dead man walking'. I wanted everyone to lighten up and realize that at the end of the day this is a TV show. Our paths will cross again, and what an amazing experience we've had over the past three years. Now let's get to work and make the best damn episode we can. I want to knock this one out of the park, for myself, for the cast and crew, but most of all for the fans because they deserve it. In my opinion they're the ones who 'made' Beckett. He went from a character who the producers didn't even know was going to be Scottish, to one who was only supposed to be in and handful of first season episodes, wound up in 17, and was finally made a regular character last year. That couldn't have happened without the fans, and I'll be forever grateful to them."And even worse Boggy pointed out to me that next week is the last ever Stargate ... except for the films . I still can't quite believe we will finish the series before you start again. So unfair on the US fans I am getting used to Stargate stuff being postponed for the US because first it was the last ten episodes of SG1 season 10 and SGA season 3, then it's the Stargate Atlantis DVD's moved from January until March and now it's Rittenhouse moving the cards from March until May I like the last one though because it gives me a chance to save up for a couple more boxes to add to my order Only 37 More Days to go

One hour 'til the very last episode... :'( It's started and it is sooooo good!!! Wendy this is Sharon ........ Daniel and Vala AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Graham's back... Our heroes are on the Prometheus on a journey to meet with the Asgard. Vala is bored - she throws a fake birthday party for Daniel to which he won't buy in to. Daniel, as usual, has his head in a book. Cam and Teal'c spar with their long stick thingies and Carter is on the bridge. Thor appears and tells the crew that his race has finally reached the end and will be dying soon. As Earth humans are considered the 5th race, it has been decided to give all the knowledge and technology to them. Vala asks Daniel how to tell the Asgard apart and he says "It's the voice" This is up to the opening title sequence. Please let me know how far into the story you want me to go.

Oh well... here goes. The Asgard install their bit and pieces, turn it on and almost immediately, three Ori ships appear. Landry fires the new weapons and destroys one of the Ori ships. They then whizz off into hyperspace. Because of some damage, they drop back to normal space for repairs and lo and behold, the two Ori ships pop up. The new tech is acting like a homing signal. Back to that ol' swing door, hyperspace. The plan is to stop at a "gated" planet, beam all the crew except SG1 and Landry down, disconnect the Asgard tech (about half an hours work) and go home. Them pesky Ori ships engage the Prometheus and another Ori boat bites the dust. Unfortunately, the other one gets the drop on the goodies and fires a fatal beam. All is lost and they die. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ok, they don't The beam stops short of the Prometheus. Sam has used Asgard tech to create a time dilation bubble. This means that on the ship it seems to be normal time and years could go by whilst it would only be seconds outside the bubble. More tomorrow if you want it.
