Easier to hijack a thread than it is to start a new one...

I complained about high shipping and no insurance to a seller (not for cards, but still...) and I got this response:
The shipping rates are what they are. All our items are very discounted and we have to make up the difference in the Ebay fees, selling fees, shipping costs and the cost it pays someone to wrap the items. Everyone wants a super deal but in order to stay in business you have to make a profit and we clearly post our shipping prices and we stick by them.
I just hate it when someone is obviously profiting off of "shipping and handling" and we won't even go into the REQUIRED insurance, and then the package arrives with no insurance. They claim to self insure, saying they'll replace the item. Funny that they charge the exact same amount for their 'self insurance' as the Post Office charges. While it might be OK to do, it's just a tad evasive. I personally believe insured packages get treated a bit better in the system.
