Aggrevated with some sellers

Don't you hate it when sellers include snarkey little remarks in thier auction listings?  Mostly dealing with payment terms.  "If you don't like it, don't bid", or "If payment is late to me, I won't rush sending your items to you".  Not exactly a great way to inspire customer loyalty by pretty much accusing everyone who looks at your auctions!  I won an auction from someone who dosn't take Paypal and I deleted his address from my emails by mistake.  I couldn't find it in my deleted mail folder, so I asked him for his address again.  So what does he do?  He sends me 10, yes I said 10 emails with his address.  Snarkey little cus.    I won't be a repeat buyer.

I find it quite rude too - there was one auction where the seller said that he wouldn't mark his items as 'gift' and if you wanted a gift, 'ask your mother to send it to you'. maybe I was overreacting, but I found it quite rude

You would think these people might realise they are only hurting themselves by chasing buyers away

Easier to hijack a thread than it is to start a new one...

I complained about high shipping and no insurance to a seller (not for cards, but still...) and I got this response:

The shipping rates are what they are.  All our items are very discounted and we have to make up the difference in the Ebay fees, selling fees, shipping costs and the cost it pays someone to wrap the items.  Everyone wants a super deal but in order to stay in business you have to make a profit and we clearly post our shipping prices and we stick by them.

I just hate it when someone is obviously profiting off of "shipping and handling" and we won't even go into the REQUIRED insurance, and then the package arrives with no insurance.  They claim to self insure, saying they'll replace the item.  Funny that they charge the exact same amount for their 'self insurance' as the Post Office charges.  While it might be OK to do, it's just a tad evasive.  I personally believe insured packages get treated a bit better in the system.

I totally agree, Ed.  I don't know why sellers think they're "fooling" everyone by hiking the shipping prices.  I guess their auctions come up first if you search by lowest price, and they don't pay full price in ebay fees, but it still get's on my nerves.  I was searching for GBA games and saw one I wanted for $12.99.  Shipping price?  Another $9.99
