If a blocked bidder bids on one of your auctions, they get this message:
Transaction Blocked
Unfortunately, this seller has decided that you are not permitted to bid on their listings. You may contact the seller via the Ask Seller Questions feature if you want additional details.

There's no way I'd agree to remove a strike after that long & with no previous explanation.
I personally have TWO unpaid item strikes for items that I PAID FOR within the timeframe required and received - I have feedback to prove it. Ebay never removed my strikes after numerous emails....

Don't remove the stike!! Even if the other two did give in, I say you don't. It is not your problem anymore and they should have thought about this 5 months ago.

Another silly question moment - why is the buyer so anxious to get all strikes removed? If the other two have withdrawn wouldn't that be enough to allow them to buy again?
Is it maybe because they want to use the account for business? I really don't know the rules but it just strikes me it would be easier to set up another account rather than faff around with all these Emails.

Im assuming the other two strikes were removed, given the first email was addressed to three of us, the second just to me. Maybe he wants it to look like im the only one holidng out, but unfortunately for him its going to stay that way. Yep, I added him to my blocked bidders list when I first filed the strike, so that there would be no revenge. The only reason he wants the strikes cleared now is so he can do his christmas shopping; so not my problem  Another thing about their emails; they are not coming through ebay, but direct to my email address...which means they have either kept my email address for 5 months, or got my contact details from ebay....I dont know if Im so happy about that....plus they dont even sign their emails with their real name, just their ebay name, which happens to have the word "freeloader" in it  |

Well if they've applied for your email address through ebay then you will have been notified surely? The times when I've had to do it ebay have emailed me the info I've requested and also said that the other ebayer will be notified that I've asked for their contact details. Just a thought ... Five months isn't that long to keep an email address on file ... I keep mine at least as long as that if not longer! Three strikes and your account gets suspended doesn't it? Maybe that's why they're so worried and as you say - not your problem!   |

Well, Ive just received another email from my "buyer', this time stating that "their account purchased a base set" between certain dates, and if this item was still available could they purchase it. If not, could I let them know. and ps its not a joke. Im finding this a very interesting way to go about it-if the transaction was completed, then I would have to remove the strike. However, I dont have any of the base sets left, so Im sending them an email, and this is what im saying: "I believe that I recently sold my last POAu base set, however I would have to check when I get home. I realise that this email, and the previous two you have sent me, are not a joke; however, whether or not it was your child that bid on the auction in the first place, it would have only taken an email five months ago to let me know, rather than me having to go to the trouble of filing through ebay, waiting for payment, then finally closing the dispute. Im a full time student with a heavy workload, and I dont have time to be chasing buyers around." does this sound fair? |

After five months, you had the right to sell the item to someone else. The unpaid item strike should stand.
