Tonight was the night for the Stargate Atlantis fans in the US  Grin The second half of season 4 has officially started.

Tonights episode was "Be All My Sins Remember'd" and here is my review on it:

First I will get what I didn't like out of the way and that was the characters of Ellis and Laren. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't see one of those characters ever again in any future Atlantis episodes. I just can't stand that person even though the other one is no better this one grates on my nerves more  Hopping Mad

Now onto what I loved about the episode  Grin WOW  Shocked talk about the second half season opener for once being way better then the first half of the season ending cliffhanger  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked I didn't ever think it would happen but it did  Grin  This episode had everything I love about Altantis  Grin It had action and it also had some really great character moments that I didn't think we would see in such a action oriented episode. I even admired Carter in this episode (YES I SAID THAT  Azn). If that isn't saying something I don't know what is  ROFL!

The solution to the Replicator problem was amazing and the alliances even more so. I also was astonished by what they did to resolve the replicator problem and wait until you see it yourself. The opper on the whoe thing though was the last minute scene at the end of the episode  Shocked Shocked Shocked Talk about shocking and I can't wait to see what the gang in Atlantis will do when they find out about this little tidbit  Shocked Grin

All in all this was an excellent episode and everyone had there great moments in it. I am really looking forward to the second half of this season if this episode is anything to go by  Grin Grin Grin

Oh I am so jealous  Tongue  This episode is on a tape somewhere in Boggy's room just waiting for me to watch it!!  I am going to have a guess at what they saw at the end of the episode.  Was it -

a. Weir alive and well
b. A ship full of Furlings (which they should definately have found by now  Hopping Mad )
or
c. The cast of Torchwood coming through the wormhole (these two series are just begging for a crossover  Praying)

Somehow I don't think it will be any of the above  ROFL!.  But onto more important matters.

I even admired Carter in this episode (YES I SAID THAT  Azn).

Who are you and what have you done with Wendi  Shocked Shocked  If you are a replicator be aware that the Atlantis team have now found a solution.  Oh, no, wait, it was you that told me they had a solution  Shocked.  That's it, the Shack is doomed  ROFL!

I can tell you that one of your guesses is right for the ending of "Be All My Sins Remembere'd"  Azn I just wont tell you which one because your going to have to see for yourself  Wink

One hint, Didn't they destroy the Furlings in the episode "200" of SG1  ROFL!

Quote
Who are you and what have you done with Wendi     If you are a replicator be aware that the Atlantis team have now found a solution.  Oh, no, wait, it was you that told me they had a solution  .  That's it, the Shack is doomed

 ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!

I believe the Shack is safe for now  Angel That is unless Carter does something else to surprise me and make me like her a little bit more   Shocked Evil Then again with these writers I think we are all safe in assuming that we will all get the Carter that we are used to back again for the fifth season of SGA.  Wink It's a shame that she can't be off filming more movies for SG1 so we only would get her in a few episodes next season like we are doing this season  Azn

I do have this to say, one of the big highlights of this weeks episode for me was NO CARTER  (WOOT!!! WOOT!!!) Grin Grin Grin I love those episodes the best especially since they don't have her interacting with McKay the way I would like them have her interacting with him. I feel like every time they are in a scene together that they try to make him look and act like a baffoon. I miss Weir the most at these times  :'( This paragraph should make you feel safe again and prove that I am not a replicator but just litttle old me  Azn

Now onto my review of this weeks episode  Wink

"Spoils of War"

With the destruction of the Replicators in last weeks episode it makes room for the Wraith to come back into the role as the major villians for the people of Atlantis. Todd (the recurring Wraith for this season, who was finally named by Sheppard in this episode) and his hive were planning to use the wraiths secret cloning facility to create hundreds of thousands of Wraith to defeat other Wraith groups. However, one of Todd's men sold him out and his ship was attacked by an enemy Wraith led by the Queen who took over the cloning project.

Meanwhile, the team from Atlantis find out about a Wraith ship in space that was giving off one of their tracking devices that they usually use  to locate a missing member of Atlantis (this time the device was on Todd)  they decide to go and check it out. It lead to them finding out about the Wraith facility and deciding that they needed to destroy it before more Wraith could be born and cause havoc in the galaxy.

This mission lead to the team getting captured and resolted in Teyla having to use her special wraith powers to try and save them. Although Teyla's pregnancy is only a few months along she managed to get in the mind of the Wraith Queen to save her team using her and her baby's telepathic abilities.

While I won't give away to much more and I will let you see for yourself what all happens when you view the episode yourself. I however have a few likes and dislikes to mention though  Undecided

LIKED:

The character moment scenes especially between Teyla and Sheppard concerning her pregnancy
Finding out the sex of Teyla's unborn child (AWWW)

LOVED:

Carter not being in the episode  Angel Azn

DISLIKED:

The thought of Teyla's baby being some sort of super baby with telepathic abilities  Hopping Mad  Roll Eyes Hopping Mad
Rodney just knowing about the pregnancy and us never getting his reaction to the news (that one is just a dislike for me and nothing to really do with the episode)  Sad

OMG  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I was actually right  Grin Grin Grin  And even though I had guessed it, I was still shocked at the end  Grin

I loved all the references to Rodney's dry spell  ROFL!.  But I think that Radek (sp?) is quickly becoming my favourite character.  I want a whole episode of just him and Rodney  Grin

Best bit of the episode for me was John's reaction to Teyla's news - he seemed quite disappointed  ROFL!.  It was definately a sulky pout and very funny.  I think even Ronan noticed  ROFL!

Well I finished watching "Quarantine" and I must say I have mixed feelings on it  Undecided

While there were some parts I liked there were also some parts I didn't really care for. I can tell you this though, this episode will not be my list of one of my favorites of season 4  Sad

Here is what I didn't like first:

1. The stupid way they made it so McKay couldn't be the one to save the day  Angry
2. The way they made McKay act during the quarantine  Hopping Mad
3. The stupid reason for the city to go under quarantine and then some of the people (Carter  Hopping Mad, Zelenka  :'(, and Sheppard  :'(  :'() making like it was something McKay did to cause the problem in the first place.
4. Carter just on principle that she seems to always gets on my nerves (the last episode I liked her in was definitely a fluke or I was sick that day and she came across better then I thought she did  Roll Eyes)
5. The Writer of this episode  Angry (ever since Miss National Treasure has come onboard Atlantis it sems that some of the writers want to make McKay seem less important and more stupid then he has ever been  Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad)

I just have to say thank goodness for a writer like Martin Gero because without him I fear all the writers would dumb McKay down even more and make him seem like the worlds biggest buffoon next to little Miss National Treasure  Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad Hopping Mad (infinity  Hopping Mad)

I could go on but the above menioned parts are the main reasons this episode has me with mixed feelings  Undecided

Now onto what I did like about it:

1. We finally get a resolution on the McKay/Brown affair and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out  Grin
2. The beginning scene with McKay and Sheppard, then later on the scenes with Teyla and Sheppard
3. The way Sheppard new Mckay's password and what he does to try and save the day even though it was a little unbelievable   Shocked ROFL!
4. The scenes for next weeks episode  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin I can't wait to see this one and it looks as good as the spoilers I read made it sound unlike tonight's episode  Sad

Here is a bit of good news though  Wink Stargate Atlantis won best science fiction show for The People's Choice Awards  Grin

Well the internet hasn't kicked me off for ten minutes and I have caught up with Stargate - life is good  Grin

I have to say I loved Quarantine.  I thought all the right people were trapped with each other for the right comic effect - although I would have loved Teylor to have gone into labour, she looks big enough  ROFL!

I am pleased like you that Rodney and Katie have been sorted although it was sort of sad.  But who was hero of the day  Grin.  Good old Zelenka  Grin Grin.  Funniest bit though was Radek getting an eyeful of Miss National Treasure  ROFL!

I did like "Quarantine", I just didn't love it  Wink

I also liked the scenes with John/Teyla and John's fear that she would give birth then was absolutely  ROFL! I actually would think it was even more funny if she had the baby while trapped with Mckay, now that would be downright  ROFL! seeing how he feels about kids  ROFL!  Also while I was very happy that Zelenka fixed the problem (I like him also especially with Mckay, those two are great in scenes together Grin) I just didn't like how they got rid of Rodney for him to be able to be the one to do it  Sad

Quote

I am keeing my fingers crossed that with that goodbye Kati gave him and Rodney's face in the end when she said it to him that it will be the very last time we see Kati Brown  Praying Praying Praying Yeah, it was sad how they finaly broke up especially with him going in to propose to her, but to tell you the truth I felt that some of the writers only brought Miss.Brown back as much as they did was so no one would think of Mckay and Carter as a possibility. They were afraid they would lose any Jack/Sam shippers out there still watching and waiting for it if they didn't give Mckay a love interest fast so nothing at all could happen between those two Roll Eyes Notice how they are hardly in any scenes together especially alone  Roll Eyes

Also keeping my fingers crossed that Zelenka (who I love) is not drawn to the darkside and starts getting a crush on The Little Miss National Treasure with that one scene  Praying Praying Praying While it was very funny I worry about the writers thoughts in those scenes  Undecided

Now onto "Harmony"   Grin

This episode while it had a cliche storyline to me anyway was absolutely  ROFL! and I loved almost every minute of it. The first thing I loved was that it was a Mckay/Sheppard episode all the way through, I missed those two acting together in scenes they are great together.  Grin The girl who would be Queen was great also, especially with her interactions with John and Rodney. I also thought that the actress played the best young Adria in SG1 so it was nice to see her make an appearance in SGA.

The most hilarious scenes had to between Harmony and Mckay. I was LMAO after the Power bar scene with those two  ROFL! ROFL! Also later on when she said she was memmorizing his face was just to  ROFL! Then the ending scene between her and Mckay was just to great especially because how they got along until then. Basically all their senes together were some of the best in the whole episode to me.  I also loved how Sheppard acted with those two and I wish they would have shown more of that instead of the Geni plotting  ROFL! Grin

All in all it was a very fun episode and I enjoyed it much more then last weeks. Sadly next week it looks like a Ronon/Sheppard episode and I still don't care very much for Ronon as a character yet  Sad Thank goodness Sheppard is in it at least  Smiley Ronon alone in an episode has so far managed to bore me.

I am grateful that it was Ronon kissing Keller and not Sheppard  Azn  I also have to admit in watching previous episodes there were some hints that the kiss would happen between those two Wink

Now onto my review of "Outcast"

I have to admit going into this episode I was afraid it would be another boring Earth bound episode  Undecided I am happy to say that I was wrong  Smiley This episode rates with one of the best episodes of the season  Wink

It started out good and continued that way until the end  Grin

I loved that we got to see a character we haven't seen since the end of season one  Grin I also loved that we got more background on Sheppard and that not only did we get to meet his ex wife that he mentioned he had back in season three but we also got to meet another relative of his that was a total surprise.

Ronon wasn't so bad in this episode also, but like I stated before I prefer the episodes were he is a sidekick then when he is the main focus of the story. I guess I feel that way because every time it is about him he is seperated from most of his team and it always seems to have to do with his planet of Sateda (which I find boring). I loved the scene when he asked if the food was free in "Outcast"  ROFL!

While I don't find the replicator stories as good as other ones I did find this one to be at least interesting. I liked how it was related to a past episode to make it plausable and I also liked the twists and turns it took to get to the solution.

All in all I am happy that this episode ended up being better then I thought it would be and it is one I find I could watch again  Grin

Grin Now for some Stargate News for you in case you haven't heard  Grin

Amanda Tapping announced that she would not be a Main cast member for season 5 of Atlantis. In fact she stated that the first episode of the new season would announce why Carter was leaving the show. I just hope it has nothing to do with a hint of Sam/Jack ship on why she is leaving  Praying That would be the final thing to put the axe in the Carter character for me  :'(

Evil Can we say HAPPY DANCE!!! WOO HOO!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DANCE!!!  Evil

Also in case you didn't know you can now order the Upcomig Stargate SG1 direct to DVD movie "Ark of Truth" on Amazon. It comes out on March 11th  Grin Grin Grin I missed SG1 so I am excited for this  Grin

ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!  Happy Dance  ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!

That is excellent news  Grin Grin  Of course Boggy just mumbled ' I don't believe it'  Roll Eyes.  What do men see in here  Lips Sealed

On to Harmony.  I have only one word for this - Perfect  Grin.  If Outcast is as good as this one then this season really will have been special.  I can't say how much I enjoyed Harmony  Grin.  It had two of my favourite characters (even I have to admit Ronon would have been out of place) and the sort of witty dialogue that made SG popular in the first place.

I think what I like most about this series is that the characters say what we are thinking - when Rodney comments on the 'alien chicks' and John it is so true  ROFL!.  And wasn't the little princess fab  Grin.  She reminds me of a young Dawn from Buffy.  I really hope they return to that planet at some time, so much more fun than the Genii  Wink

I have a slight reservation about Outcast though  Undecided.  How many more replicators can they find now the species has been wiped out?  I mean I always got the impression if you even had a tiny replicator then you basically had a huge problem.  If they keep coming up with left over bits then it makes the whole 'destroy the homeworld' episode a bit pointless.  Oh at this stage I should mention that I don't believe Elizabeth is a replicator any more.  Don't ask me what I think she is cos I haven't go that far yet  Grin

I am still doing a Happy Dance because as far as I was concerned until last nights episode the writers seemd to try and keep her away from the only character that makes her even remotely interesting. Also what did she really bring to the Atlantis expedition that anyone else couldn't have since they didn't seem to use her for her talents...thank goodness  Grin

Men like her for her assets  Evil (Just kidding Boggy)

The last three episodes have been three for three of terrific episodes to me this second half of the season  Grin

I think you will find this review rather shocking especially since Carter is practically in every scene of the episode  Shocked

Review for "Trio" :

What can I say about this episode except for I loved it from beginning to end.

I loved it when Sheppard, Mckay and Dr. Keller were walking down the corridor with Carter and telling her that they had to relocate the people on the planet to another part of the planet so they would be safer. Mckay said because of the tremors and Keller said because of the health concerns, I loved their one upmanship on why the others reason was more important then the other one it had me  ROFL! I won't even mention Sheppard sucking on a lollipop the whole time  Azn

It gets down to Carter telling Keller and Mckay to meet her back at the gateroom so they can go convince the villagers that they should leave and telling Mckay he had no choice but to come along  ROFL! All this was just part of the opening scene and I am still smiling  Grin Lets just say it ends up with Mckay falling down a hole and Carter and Keller stumbling after in the end.

I loved how this episode was not about science but about surviving a deadly situation and working together to get out of it. I also loved how they all came up with ideas to get out of the situation they found themselves in. I think I should just stick to telling you what I loved about this episode because if I give you a review I am afraid I would review the entire episode just because it was so good  Wink

Some things that made this episode one of the best of the season for me if not the best:

1. Carter was actually not annoying in this episode (BIG BONUS)
2. they all contributed to their rescue
3. Half of Mckays comments had me  ROFL! also he was a little naughty when Keller started taking her shirt off  and what he told Carter to do for the kids  Azn  Evil
4. Mckay didn't become across as a  bumbling idiot in Carter's presence like some of the writers like to make him do  Grin
5. Mckay's babbling was so sweet especially when he was trying to compliment Carter and Keller
6. the game they played to pass the time ROFL, I am still laughing especially with Mckay's reaction to the game and also John Stewart  ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!
7. All their solutions to get out of their predicament were great
8. Mckay was a hero and I loved how he said wouldn't leave Carter behind (AWWWW!!!!, Sheppard would be proud of him)
9. Kati Brown is gone and Keller was so so sweet to Mckay in that scene (YET ANOTHER HAPPY DANCE)

I should really stop now even though there is so much more I loved about this episode (can't you tell  Azn)

This episode may possible go down as one of my all time favorites right along with "Grace Under Pressure", "Tao of Rodney", Mckay and Mrs. Miller" and "Millers Crossing"

What I didn't like:

1. Mckay is not fat nor ugly either so enough with picking on his weight and looks, just because he is not the typical looking hero in a science fiction show it doesn't mean the writers have to pick on his appearance every chance they get  Hopping Mad
2. Those kids were little brats and I hope they got punished by their parents later on (I actually agreed with Mckay when he yelled at the little monsters).

Now onto some Spoilers for season 5 of Atlantis (MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD):

1. Robert Picardo's character Richard Woolsey will be taking over Carter's command of Atlantis in season 5 (I AM NOT SURE I LIKE THIS ONE)

2. Carter will Guest star in some episodes in season 5 (GUEST STAR IS BETTER THAN MAIN CHARACTER-I just hope she makes sense for the episodes she is in unlike most of the season 4 episodes she was in)

3. Paul McGillion will be in at least 5 episodes of season 5 (I missed him but I hope he interacts with Mckay a lot in those episodes)

4. Torri Higginson will NOT be back for any appearances of season 5 (DON"T REALLY CARE)

5. Jewel Staite/Doctor Keller will be a Main character in season 5 (GOOD FOR HER)

6. Leela Sevasta will play Captain Alicia Vega a recurring character in season 5 (I DON"T LIKE THIS ONE)

7. Michael Shanks will appear in 2 episodes of Atlantis reprising his role as Doctor Daniel Jackson ( I AM SO SO SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS...YIPPEEE!!!!)- I especially love the rumor that stated that he will be in some scenes with Mckay and there are already bets on who will talk the fastest as far as explanations go  ROFL! (my bets are on McKay  Azn). I am just excited that my two favorite characters are going to be in some scenes together Smiley

It has been a while since my last post so I thought I would risk a double post to give some news on Stargate SG1 and Atlantis for those who don't know yet  Wink

For the Stargate Atlantis News:

The Premiere date in the US for Stargate Atlantis season 5 was officially announced by Sci-Fi. The premiere date will be on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 PM  Grin I have no news on when the UK premiere will be but hopefully for the people there it won't be to long after the US premiere  Wink It will be really exciting especially with the best season finale ever for the show even topping season one's finale to me  Grin Grin Grin

I am also excited because not only is Michael Shanks Guest Starring on the two part mid season episodes but we also get Kate Hewlett back for an episode that sounds like a really interesting McKay story  Grin I am really excited to see Daniel and Rodney work together and from the spoilers it sounds like the actors enjoyed it just as much as we will  Grin Grin Grin

Now for the Stargate SGI news:

The next installment of the made for DVD movies Stargate "Continuum" is ready for pre-order at Amazon and you can expect it to arrive in stores on July 29th  Grin

This will probably be my last post since it is only me posting anymore   Undecided  However,if anyone else does want to come out and post with me I will be checking back here every now and again  Wink

I will still post and give summaries of episodes if you want them still just as long as someone posts after me  Wink I  feel bad when I double post since I know that you really are not supposed to I just wanted people to know why I wasn't posting   Embarrassed Undecided

Now for a question for anyone out there reading this;

Did any of you see "Ark of Truth" yet and if so what did you guys think of it Huh

I got it for a Easter present in place of candy so now I am patiently waiting to see how the next movie is compared to Ark, but with Brad Wright as the writer we shall just have to wait and see if it comes even close. My favorite part of Ark was the Ori scenes with Daniel, Vala, Tealc and Tomin. Grin Grin  My least favorite scenes were the repeat of the replicators and the IOA.  Roll Eyes

Only 11 more days for the cards to be released  Grin I ordered the binder now I just have to find a cheap base set since I couldn't afford a box at this time  Embarrassed Sad  Wink

Only 29 more days for Stargate Atlantis season 5 to premiere
HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL THOSE FATHERS OUT THERE!!!

I will keep on posting just as long as someone posts after me so I don't double post  Wink I do enjoy sharing the Stargate news with other fans like me so this is something that I don't mind doing I just don't want to get in any trouble if I end up doing something wrong  Undecided

As for "Ark of Truth", It started out really good and it seemed like it would keep going that way until we got to the part were the IOA had to interfere once again and make sure everything would turn out right, which when they are involved I knew something terrible was going to happen and boy was I right  Roll Eyes It was tough sometimes because when it was really good and things were really getting interesting with the Ori storyline they  immediately throw you off because they hurry and jump to the other storyline which involves the replicators. I don't know about you but I am getting really sick and tired of the replicators especially the SG1 machine version of them   Hopping Mad Ark would have been better off if they would have just stuck with the Ori story and left the replicators out of the plot but I guess they were stuck on what to do with Cameron and Carter while Daniel, Vala, Teal'c and Tomin went to find the Ark and get captured by the Ori.

I can tell you this I do watch it in repeat viewing but I just fast forward through the replicator scenes and I find I have a nice classic episode of SG1 stemming from season 9 and on  Grin Wink I think if you like SG1 you will like "The Ark of Truth". When you do finally get to see it I would love to hear what you thought of it  Huh  Smiley

Sorry I didn't come back and answer your question before now. Things have been rather hectic around here with me trying to find a job and my mom getting an operation for her Achilles heel  Shocked Undecided

Anyway, to answer your question about Carter, sadly she lives to be in the next movie and crossing my fingers we don't have to suffer through any Jack/Sam true love crap in it because that boat has sailed and may it never return. I wouldn't find it so unbelievable if they would just show an ounce of chemistry between these two characters but they never do. I have seen more chemistry between Daniel/Vala since the "Prometheus Unbound" episode then I have ever seen between Carter/O'Neill in all the years the writers have been trying to push it on us. Maybe that is what is wrong with it the writers work so hard to push Jack/Sam on us with the DEOD, the mood lighting in scenes were it looks like a joke, the slow music, and the gassy expressions RDA gives us as Jack every time Sam comes near him with love in her eyes  Roll Eyes, were in when it is Daniel/Vala they didn't mean to write it but they somehow ended up doing it anyway and us viewers can actually see  how much these two characters look good together and how they have such a great chemistry together not to mention how well the actors can act together  Azn

I am sorry for going into this rant but once I get started I seem to have trouble stopping  Embarrassed I guess you can call the character of Carter and her love of O'Neill one of the most annoying parts about loving Stargate SG1.

I can say this though THANK GOODNESS Carter is now gone from SGA and hopefully they forget to bring her back for any guest appearances also. May her show Sanctuary keep her very busy and far away from playing Sam Carter anytime soon  Praying
