1  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Trading Cards from Artbox / Re: The Cedric Taco Thread *DEFINITE PLOT SPOILER FOR G.O.F.* on: February 12, 2006, 02:41:08 AM
lol, glad you guys like......

I had Tacos for dinner recently, and ate one in memory of Cedric.....

but the Cedric Taco Avatar isn't the first, or even the only melding of Mexican Food and Harry Potter in Icon form......

lest we forget:

Señor Draco, and the Quatros Enchiladas  ROFL!

2  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Update Trading Cards Artbox / Re: GOBLET OF FIRE UPDATE NEWS!!! on: February 11, 2006, 02:09:56 AM

4  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Trading Cards from Artbox / Re: The Cedric Taco Thread *DEFINITE PLOT SPOILER FOR G.O.F.* on: January 31, 2006, 06:18:33 PM
yep, I think it's the SNL thing word-for word.....

it's not mine, it's a SNL commercial parody.....but it's pretty funny ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!

I figured it'd be appropriate for the Cedric Taco Thread!
5  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: My handmade props on: January 31, 2006, 01:55:22 PM
Cindy - I LOVE those ... very funny!!  Grin Grin Grin

Taichi - nice work!! The photos of you and your bro look suitably menacing but maybe a bit more dirt would complete the look! Wink Grin

haha....I'm sure some of the inmates at Azkaban aren't covered in filth.......

Lucius Malfoy would never let himself be photographed covered in dirt!

I've composited enough on it, I really can't do much more.....seriously, I actually completely re-composited my head (I'm on the left, btw) because it wasn't menacing enough......

I can't do much more! Cheesy

The new pizza crepe taco pancake chili bag

Start with a crunchy all-beef taco smothered in nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato and our special southwestern sauce.
Wrap it in a soft flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans in between.
Wrap that in a savory corn tortilla with a midlle layer of monterey jack cheese.
Take a deep-fried gordita shell, smear on a layer of our special guacamolito sauce, and wrap that around the outside.
Bake it in a corn husk filled with pico de gallo, then wrap that in an authentic Parisian crepe, filled with egg, gruyere, merguez sausage and portabello mushrooms.
Wrap the whole thing in a Chicago-style deep dish meat-lover's pizza.
Roll it up in a blueberry panacke, dip it in batter, and deep fry until it's golden brown.
Serve it in commemorative tote bag filled with spicy vegetarian chili.

Wow, Mike, I've got that same printer/scanner/copier......

do you still have the pic files?, I'd love to run off some decent paper prop replicas!

here's me and my lil' bro playing with photoshop a bit

I've also created custom text for female wanted posters (Feel free to use them on your own, I made them so others wouldn't have to!)

You Brits are DEFINITELY lost in Translation, as the Taco is God's proof that he exists and wants us to be happy!  ROFL!

seriously, Tacos (all Mexican food actually, since it's made with the same four ingredients) are great!

take a tortilla (that round lookin' thing made of corn flour), soft or hard, fill it with ground beef (I believe you guys call it mince), that's seasoned with taco seasoning (words can't describe how good this tastes, you either know or you don't), then you sprinkle shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes on top.....

and finally, you can put a dollop of sour cream on top, if you like.....but it's not my preference......
9  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: I think I'll pass on: January 30, 2006, 03:31:56 AM
actually, they're not half-bad......

gummy roach.....they look real tho.....and it's kinda alarming if you're not ready to bite into one.....
10  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Wanted Poster on: January 30, 2006, 02:21:14 AM
I've been looking for one of those lenticular posters since before the film came out......

my movie theater flooded, a week before POA came out, and ruined the one in the lobby.......which I was supposed to get.....

they trashed it, and I've been looking ever since.......
11  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: HP goss, Book 6 title confirmed (?), GoF roles cast on: January 30, 2006, 01:35:23 AM
Hi, I'm posting from the future, the Title to Book 6 is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Ralph Fiennes will play Voldemort in GOF.....

I've read HBP, and it's great, you're gonna love it when it's released in your future (my past)

and the GOF film is breathtaking.....not everybody will love Voldemort, but when you see it (on it's release date), it'll floor you.....

it did me....when I saw it......back in December (Your future)

 ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!
12  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: Line that annoys you most in the films? on: January 30, 2006, 01:25:39 AM
SS: "Voldemort tried to kill.......ME!?"

POA: "HE WAS THEIR FRIEND!"
13  Trading cards / Events Section / Re: The Phelps Twins on: January 30, 2006, 01:21:12 AM
I'm a huge fan of F&G from the books, and James and Oliver play them so good (when they asked their dates out in GOF, I was  ROFL! my butt off!), I'd love to meet 'em, but I want their auto card even more  Praying

seriously, I want the GOF Double-Auto so bad......can't be the POA one, I like the pic (with the beards) of the GOF one......

I need a part time job to finance my prop/auto addiction! :'(
14  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Trading Cards from Artbox / Re: Looking for basic cards, and Chases.... on: January 29, 2006, 01:20:13 PM
if Martyn and McGonagall come through for me, that'll be the base set.....then I just need some foils Praying and one of the tin cards, and that's the full retail set (gorgeous cards, btw, you guys hooked me!)

then it's on to a select few auto, costume, and prop cards, and I can close the book on GOF until march.....
15  Harry Potter / Goblet of Fire Trading Cards from Artbox / Looking for Chases.... on: January 29, 2006, 04:30:22 AM
I wanna complete a base set, and all of the Chases (before moving onto costume and autograph cards) before the Update arrives...

I need the following:

FOIL
All but R7

TIN
T2
16  Trading cards / Events Section / Re: Devon - Seamus (the irish dude) on: January 28, 2006, 09:15:14 AM
Devon's a supercool guy......he's a good friend of Daniel Logan (Star Wars, Episode II)

he'll also sign a photo for anybody who will take the time to send him a snail mail letter.......so, anybody who doesn't have his SS Auto Card, can just send him a letter!
17  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: New GOF Toys and Games on: January 28, 2006, 06:54:34 AM
ahh, phew!

hope they do a Voldemort one soon......

and it'd be cool if they, or Noble, or somebody did a cold-cast replica of the Riddle Grave!
18  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: New GOF Toys and Games on: January 28, 2006, 01:15:21 AM
Hmm, well, while I'm disappointed in the discontinuation of the Busts, at least they did Sirius and Dumbledore....

as nice as the Tonner Dolls are, I just can't bring myself to buy 'em.....
19  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: New GOF Toys and Games on: January 27, 2006, 02:17:00 PM
I am just getting away from collecting toys, the Tonner Dolls are nice, but the likenesses aren't spot on....

the Gentle Giant busts are fantastic......best Rickman likeness ever........
20  Harry Potter / The Leaky Cauldron / Re: New GOF Toys and Games on: January 27, 2006, 02:12:17 PM
I'm just glad my fave characters aren't Harry, Ron, or Hermione, the prices for their auto cards is astonishing!

Gambon's isn't much better, and I'll be lucky if I get a good price for Oldman's and Thewlis', but at least I ain't trying to track down a Radcliffe, or Triple Auto!

I just wish there had been more GOF toys, and I certainly hope that the Gentle Giant Statues continue.......
