lol, that's the second most insane commute I ever heard of. Thats why I have given it up for now, really was starting to take its toll. You know you are travelling too much when you fly to New Zealand for a 30 min meeting "At the Airport" get straight back on the same plane that took you there and fly home without even leaving the airport.! So we are trying to enjoy our travelling now, unless work throws another curveball and I end up back on long distance commute again Cheers Richard & Vicky

I also got a beautiful 3d OotP binder. This is very similar to the World of HP binder and to be honest I didn't know it even existed.
That was the Show Exclusive Binder this Year 500 of them one in each tote bag along with 1 other random binder from other sets. Nice looking binder, although I am not sure if there will be much demand for it.

Frequent flyer miles are how the 4 of us got to SD too. Love 'em! Yep, i spent 7 years on a commute, 2 weeks Las Vegas, 2 Weeks UK - So sitting on just over 3Million Star Alliance Miles now (Works out 68k miles for a Business Return, so will take me a year or 10 to burn thru them)! Thats working on the fact I am stuck in the UK now but they may just change plans and have me back on the cross pond hop again!!

Hi Kelly
Its a 747-400 Air New Zealand
Seat Row 1
NZ Licenced the Upper Class Suites from Virgin about 12 months ago, when they went to 2+ class service from LON-LAX (Dropped First Class, and introduced Business Premiere, Premium Economy and Economy)
Its by far the best Business Class service across to LA, the seat flips over and turns into a fully flat 7ft bed.
Expensive service at £6000 for a return, but we manage to fly it free using Frequent Flyer points (No matter how good it is I am not spending £6k on it!!!)
Cheers
Richard & Vicky

Hi Bogleg Glad you got back ok, and are recovering, Nice chatting to you in the line at Inkworks for autographs (Can't remember which auto for the life of me!!) First Year is always tough, Shin Pads are Steel Toe Caps are recommended.! This was our 10th Year at the show and it doesnt get any easier. (Maybe its me getting older). Hope you will be back next year and encourage more to attend, its great to see the Brit contingent increase each year You will have to join the "Do San Diego On a Budget Club", We have several Members now, who come over with us and stay a outside the city and save on Hotels Share cars etc This Year we stayed in Carlsbad 30 Mins North of the Show, in a nice hotel suites with Full Kitchen etc at $50 US a night (Lot cheaper than near the show, even cheaper if you share), we have sort of refined cost cutting over the years (using Frequent Flyer Miles to fly Free to the show etc). We took Paul Hart & John The Hat from Cardtalk this year and travelled as a group (We are encouring San Diego On a Budget!!!) Cheers Richard & Vicky (501 Cards)

Yes They will replace the #5 where they can,
but my suggestion was that as many of the packs are being sold unopened on Ebay etc, it was an indication to buyers that there is a problem with a lot of the packs, and that they should be aware of it,
Lets face it Inkworks will not have an unlimited supply of the corrected cards, They were short of the #5 at the show and were opening packs themselves in the hopes of finding #5s for people who had problems.
So unless they plan on reprinting extra #5s I would doubt there will be enough to go around.
Its just that getting a faulty pack can be especially frustrating for buyers outside the US who then have to go thru the rigmorole of having to try and get it corrected.
Cheers
Richard & Vicky

Just a word of warning for anyone looking at buying one of the ComicCon 2006 Exclusive Lost 6 Card Dharma Initiative sets. Check with the seller that all the cards are there! It is a six card sealed set with a 1 in 10 chance of getting a rare variant No4 card in place of the standard "No4 Card" BUT many of the packs sold at ComicCon were errors and contained NO No5 CARD. This was not mentioned to buyers, and as many of the sets will be sold sealed there is a chance you will buy an incomplete set! Here is a picture of the complete set showing the Standard 4 + Extra 4 and the missing 5 card (Without the 5 you cannot make up the 6 card picture back!) Cheers Richard & Vicky
