This is probably the only really noteworthy card I pulled (autos aside).

It's in one of the really thick cards, as the flower is not a print. :)

I love the pink Cho swatch! :)

Hikarist, is the flower a button?  That's an excellent swatch!

Nice swatch, Hikarist!  I saw in the pulls thread that we had the almost exact case break.  Did you double check the box that had Luna's pants in it?  If our cases were supposed to be exactly the same, you should have a David Thewlis autograph redemption in there.

Nice cards, jfer!  You bring up a good point.  There should have been two inserts in each box.  If Hikarist had only one in a box, it could be that her missing auto is stuck to the back of another card.  It's happened before.

I love that flowered swatch!!!!  :o

Know what I have noticed? In the double costume card

swatches for Dumbly!

Nice swatch, Hikarist!  I saw in the pulls thread that we had the almost exact case break.  Did you double check the box that had Luna's pants in it?  If our cases were supposed to be exactly the same, you should have a David Thewlis autograph redemption in there.

(Edit) It wasn't hidden/attached to the back of another card, though when I think about it, one of the packs had only six cards - and nothing else. I thought it was a little strange, but maybe they just forgot to throw in one of the inserts? Who knows. :)  (/Edit)

That would be awesome! I'll have to double-check all my cards now (I put all of the 'normal' cards in the case box... stupid me!).

HPfamily: I wish I'd gotten your second case - you got all the autos I wanted! Heh. :)

kbmum: I'm not sure if it's a button - I thought it came from the hood, but I could be mistaken (there are a few small flowers visible in the image on the card, so I just assumed). :)

I would love to trade you my Tonks, Lupin, and Dudley autograph cards for your C14 Dumbledore/Voldemort Card, P1 Cauldron from Snape's office, and C4 Cho's Sweater.

Here are the pictures of those three... I'm not so sure on the P1 Cauldron, but the other two are part-able. :)  Also, there are no scratches on the cards - I put them straight from the packs into thick plastic screw-downs, which sadly have since gotten finger-streaks on them (it looks like there are scratches on the cauldron card's lower right corner in the first picture, which is why I took the second). The double costume was thin enough that I put it in a snap case, but I was planning on purchasing a screw-down for it as well.

Jackie--LOVE your Hermione costume cards! And the mauve Cho is so pretty! Your Harry sweater is absolutely incredible!  :o

Terryweasley--Your Hermione cards are gorgeous as well! Love the flying memos you pulled!

Yes, it is gold foil.  It definitely looks like a "D" when you look at the swatch in-person.  I had no idea where it came from until I saw the other DP card.  Based on the picture that is shown on that one, it definitely looks like the "D" in the DP logo.

Nice Profit pull, kbmum!

Hmmm... everyone seems to think I'm missing the Lupin auto (two people with exact case pulls). Is there any way it could just be a fluke, or should I talk to my supplier? ???  I've checked the backs of all my cards, and haven't found a redemption...

Every box should have two premium inserts.  Every now and then, there's a box with one or no inserts.  I don't know what your dealer/distributor will do, but it's worth a shot.  You could also contact Artbox at customerservice@artboxent.com.

Well, here are the pulls (and my 2-case incentive) from my four boxes :) At some point, I will post the breakdown on the breakdown thread.

I am thrilled with the dual prop/costume. It was one of the ones I really wanted, but never thought I would actually pull.

Most of my packs had many of the same cards. From the 4 boxes I was only able to get a total of 3 full base sets. 1 shy of a 4th. Most of the left over cards are man of the same numbers. Card 111 is the one I have the most of. Anyone else notice their base cards being badly inserted?

Wow! That dual is beautiful! I was beginning to wonder if all of them were flat with none of the decoration... very nice! I also noticed the base cards were out of wack... I couldn't find one of the numbers at all in my case, which I thought was rather odd!

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments

Which base card was missing from every single box in your case?

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: rns91294 January 02, 2008, 08:27:23 AM
It was number 139. Actually, it was in there, but misprinted (the foil was over the cards title). So technically, I did get one base set from each box...sort of.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 02, 2008, 08:38:05 AM
The foil covered the number on the back of the card?

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments

No, the front. The gold foil wasn't where it was supposed to be.

If anyone has the C15 Gryffindor and Slytherin double costume, could you please let me know if the back of the card says the material is movie-worn or material used to create the costumes?  Thanks!

Sharon, that's the card I wanted, too!  After looking at it for a while, I realized that the white part on the bottom of the swatch is the top of the kitten's head and a bit of the right ear. :D

Kelly, the Ci1 is indeed actual fabric.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 03, 2008, 04:37:35 AM
The Ci1 is fairly thick, too.  Sara and I were discussing earlier today whether it could be part of the tapestry or maybe the rugs on the floor in the hallway and stairs. :)

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: rns91294 January 03, 2008, 04:45:56 AM
I need to see that part of the movie again because I don't know what kind of material the rugs or the drapes were. To me, it still looks like the tapestry, but who really knows.

I would have bought that in a split second if I had seen it!
It's good to know that the Ci1 is fabric.  I should have the one I bought from Tom in a few days.  I'm going to predict that it's not the Black family tapestry, because if it were, then Artbox would probably have listed it as such.  I'm hoping I'm wrong on that though.  Has anyone asked?

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments

I've an idea several people have already asked that question Kelly, but as usual Artbox have seen fit to ignore it!  ::) >:(

I hope no one has the horrible horrible luck I seem to have with every single case purchase I ever make. If anyone was wondering about dud boxes, they exist, and two of them were in my case. For my three props I got one of each of the daily prophets and a plain pink swatch stationary (so the three highest #'d props) The two boxes that were duds were obviously missing autographs (and a filmcard), because I only got three autos. (Bellatrix Lestrange/Helena Bonham Carter, Bane/Jason Piper (redemption), and Amelia Bones/Sian Thomas (redemption) ) and as far as costumes go, I didnt really get any variants or low numbered ones, when I finally did pull one of the more sought after costume cards, this is what it looked liked:

Every single corner is beyond "dinged up" the top corner is pealing, and actually a bit smashed. It looks like it went through a garbage disposal. I bought my case to put together a costume set, and hopefully pull a Bonham Carter and Tom Felton auto. The Bonham Carter was the ONLY decent thing about my case. Like I said, I hope nobody else runs into this. How is artbox about replacing damaged cards?

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 04, 2008, 02:49:03 AM
I'm really sorry you had such a bad case break, even with the Bellatrix auto. :( This does give us an opportunity to go over a few matters about which every HP card collector should know.

Artbox is good about replacing damaged cards, especially early on when they have plenty in stock.  You should email Artbox and tell them 1) about the poor collation of your case and 2) about the damaged card.  I don't think they'll do anything about the missing cards, but since you paid for a case, you deserve to get the cards as stated in the odds.  You may need to be persistent (and polite).

When you mail them the damaged card, you need to keep a few things in mind.  First, Artbox will ship the replacement to you with the packing materials YOU provide.  If you do not send them a sleeve, toploader, and bubble mailer, your card will be shipped to you in a regular business envelope with no protection.

Second, get delivery confirmation or some sort of tracking so you can prove that Artbox received your card.

Third, if you want Artbox to get delivery confirmation or insurance, YOU have to pay for it.  They don't tell you this -- it isn't on their boxes, packs, or redemption cards, and it isn't on their website.  When you contact customer service, ask about it and how they want payment.  I know this presents a problem for non-U.S. residents, but it would be really awful if someone's expensive/high value card got lost in the mail.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: Bryanjs14 January 04, 2008, 03:37:19 AM
Thank you for that info. I am definetly going to contact them about the damaged card and hopefully everything gets cleared up there.

I don't expect them to do anything about the dud boxes but if by chance they do, I will be sure to post what happens.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: Hikarist January 04, 2008, 03:48:10 AM
kbmum, about how quickly, if ever, do the customer service from Artbox reply? I sent them an e-mail a few days ago, and I figure it should be about a week before I get a reply (because the release date was so recent).

Sometimes they reply quickly and sometimes not at all. :-\  There's no way to know whether you'll get a response from them.  They were supposedly closed from December 24 until today (at least that's what the customer service email auto reply said), so there could be a big backlog of email over there.

Bryan, please let us know Artbox's response either way.  I'm sure you'll get a line about how there are no guarantees, but if someone buys a case, there should be dud boxes, and you shouldn't be missing two autos and a filmcard.  This is the sort of thing that scares me as a box buyer, because it would kill me to get no inserts when I'm buying only a couple of boxes. :P

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: mcgonagall January 04, 2008, 05:01:25 AM
Well I have opened my two boxes and i still have no base set. And to say i was disappointed with the boxes would be an understatement. I usually at least have a base set for me  and one for the kids. And since it was only 2 boxes i would have thought that there would be 2 items prop costume auto film instead out of the two boxes i have 2 costumes and a prop.
I think artbox owes us an apology for this mess

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 04, 2008, 05:21:42 AM
There were definitely problems with collation for this set.  Marcia, please post your box breakdowns.  I want to see how many boxes were missing inserts (at this time, it's mostly the autos that were missing).  It makes me wonder if Artbox didn't have enough total autos to pack five in each case.  If that's true, then they should have at least made up the shortfall with costumes or props to guarantee two inserts per box.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: rns91294 January 04, 2008, 05:35:51 AM
Marcia, I am so sorry.  I thought Artbox was doing better with their collation, but this set really has proved me wrong. To not get a base set from two boxes is really sad.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: terryweasley January 04, 2008, 05:38:28 AM
There was another one that was BINned a couple of days ago for $89.95. :o

I watched the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD on New Years Day.  I'm not a big football fan.  I think that swatch is from the curtains in the kitchen.  That card threw me for a loop because I couldn't imagine where the material had come from.  In the Deathly Hallows the kitchen doesn't have a window.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: rns91294 January 04, 2008, 05:47:26 AM
kbmum, about how quickly, if ever, do the customer service from Artbox reply? I sent them an e-mail a few days ago, and I figure it should be about a week before I get a reply (because the release date was so recent).

I usually get quick responses from them, but I emailed them about two weeks ago and again yesterday. Still no response. I bet they are getting a lot of emails right now though. Unfortuantely, mine is about missing redemptions I sent in and have not got back yet. I would love to hear back from them, but I need to try and be a bit more patient since it seems many people are trying to get in touch with them right now.

Really sorry to hear that people have been having trouble with their collation I had been planning on opening all 5 of my cases but think i will be playing it by ear one case at  a time. I will post my scans next week when they arrive and report any collation problems.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: Bitsy January 04, 2008, 06:44:43 AM
I'm so sorry to hear about the dud boxes and lack of inserts.  :( That's just not fair at all.

I should say that when my Dad opened his box, he thought he had only gotten one insert (costume). He went back through his packs and didn't see anything, so I went through them for him and found a Mad-Eye Moody autograph redemption stuck in between two cards. I noticed the redemption cards are a different kind of paper from the actual autos; different than they were in the last set as well. I don't know if that is making them stick to the base cards or what.

I just thought I would tell what happened just in case this is the situation elsewhere and I truly hope it is.  :o=

Bitsy, I had the same thing happen to me with GOF once...but I did check them to make sure. actually when I open packs, I quickly count how many cards are in it as I flip through them to make sure I have the right amount of cards.

This has happened before for me as well. I was so hoping maybe you would find one that was stuck to a couple of cards.  :( I usually count the cards as well and look at each one, front and back.

Ok, I spoke with Artbox about the damaged card and it is being replaced for sure. I am sending them the card today.

Somehow lol, I forgot to ask about the dud boxes  :-[ :-X I actually spoke to someone who works there who rememberd me from Comic Con and we got to talking about last year and the upcoming year. So I decided to e-mail her asking about the dud boxes but no response yet. When I get a response I will definetly post on here what happens.

I was lucky enough to get a case as a present from Boggy (I will post a breakdown asap) as well as the one I bought.  Guess what?  They were nearly identical  ::).  Artbox really do need to get their act together with the collation of their cards - both with the base sets and the chase cards.  I haven't sorted any base sets yet but just from opening the packs there were loads of cards I threw away due to their appalling condition.  All in all a beautiful product poorly manufactured.

Oh and a big thank you to Chris (Gimli) for getting the cards to me so quickly.  For anyone who has dealt with Chris before the high standard of service won't come as any surprise but I just wanted to say a public thank you  :)

Crickey!! The Cho card looks like someone's bitten the corner off it - that's in a shocking state for a pack-pulled card!!  :o >:(
I can see why you aren't too thrilled with your boxes Marcia although the swatch on the Flying Memos is rather good ...  :-\

I guess I got lucky with the condition of my cards... the only card that was damaged was a Bellatrix character card... O_o;;;

Mcgonagall - Love the memo card. ^__^  The Cho swatch is pretty cool too, even with the 'bitten' corner. :)

Bryanjs14 - how did you get in contact with them the first time? Did you e-mail, or is there a phone # I don't know about? *confused*

Does anyone know when the price guide will be up on the site?

There was just the one for OOTP, from ComicCon, right? Or was there a second one for Update? I see a couple of eBay Stores listings for the SDCC exclusive still.

I picked one up in an auction in early August. It's very nice. So I didn't opt for a regular binder for this movie.  ;)

I've only just started at that, I figure.  :P But I also made a sort-of decision that I have too many half-filled binders, and there was plenty of room left in my original OOTP 3-D binder for the Update! Of course I might change my mind if I get dangerously close to a master set. ...

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: allender January 06, 2008, 10:00:39 PM
Here's the scans from my case. The only variant that is possibly special is the balanced three-color version of the collar from Ginny's jacket. The two scans show the autos/C-3-4-7-8 and C-9-10-11-12-13-14 plus P-1-5-6.

My Voldemort case-topper appeared to be clear when viewed face-on, but if you look at it all the way through the thin edge from the side, I can see a light purple tint. So I'd guess that some othere that appear to be clear are just fainter than most in the pigment.

I got my Ci3 card in the mail yesterday.  It's 65/120.  The card says it contains material worn by the deatheaters in the film.  I only remember Bellatrix being shown in Azkaban Prison, so I assume it may be material from her costume.

If I'm not mistaken, there are other Death Eaters in that scene.  They walk out of prison behind Bellatrix, but you can't see them very well.

Yes, there are other Death Eaters in the scene. They also show a single male DE in Azkaban just before cutting to Bellatrix.

Marcia, did you contact Artbox about the damaged card and the base set collation?  They will replace the Cho costume (I know, it'll be a pain to mail it) and I would think they'd send you the base cards you need to complete at least one, maybe two, base sets.  It's worth a try and you can post their response here.  It just isn't right to not get one base set from two boxes.

You should also complain to them about getting only one premium insert in one of the boxes.  The boxes are expensive enough that there should be two good inserts.  What I don't understand is that if there was a shortfall of autos, they should have not produced one three-insert box per case.  Those extra cards could have helped ensure that every box had two inserts.

I have a question.. has anyone seen any cards like my C7? I've seen the large flowers that have been cut up to fit in the swatches, but I would really like to find out if mine is a button or part of the hood design. :S (I can't tell from my swatch)

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments

You could touch it with a clean finger to see if it's plastic, fabric, or embroidery thread.

This is probably the only really noteworthy card I pulled (autos aside).

It's in one of the really thick cards, as the flower is not a print. :)

When I watched the movie on DVD on New Year's Day, I notices a row of those flower running at an angle across Ginny's jacket.  They were near the bottom of the jacket where the pocket openings would be.  Looking at your card, I wonder if your flower came from the front of the jacket.  It seems to have some of the green from the jacket as part of it.

Beautiful pulls, everyone!

I love all the different Hermione costume variants!

And the Dark Arts book with the face is incredible! Love that!  :o

As for the auction featuring the very last box that was produced--I can't fathom spending that kind of money! As much as I would love to see what's in there, I couldn't justify that kind of money.  :-\

Does anyone think that there would be anything extraordinary in the final box...or the first box for that matter?

The seller lowered the price, it was $5000.00  :o a few days ago.  ::)

Even if that box had a dual Dan and Katie auto in it, it still isn't worth the $700. imo.

I agree.  :-\ Just too much money, regardless of what is in it...unless it's a Hotbox, which is unlikely, I would think.   :-\

Has there been any report of Hot Boxes being in this set?

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 14, 2008, 05:06:47 AM
There haven't been any reports of hot boxes for OOTPU, or OOTP, for that matter.  The seller of the 6000/6000 box is hoping that someone is interested enough in the box number to buy it for that price.  I'm pretty sure we've had Shackers who had very low number or very high number boxes for other Artbox sets, but the boxes didn't have anything particularly special inside.  A person who collects boxes based on the print run number might not even care what's inside -- the unopened box might be kept that way for his or her collection.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: terryweasley January 14, 2008, 05:31:16 AM
The "hot box" I purchased for the GOFU set had two things that made it different from the adverage box.  The first thing I noticed was the box lid was buldging.  The other box I bought at the same time was flat.  After I discovered I had so many autograph, prop, and costume cards not to mention the casetopper cards, I checked the bottom of the box.  My hot box didn't have any numbers on the bottom.  I don't know if that hold true for every set, but I'd bet money it's just a regular box.

Aye, I had box number 1 for the Sorcerers Stone set -  I can't remember now what was in it now but you'll probably be able to find out what I posted at the time in the SS forum, but it wasn't a hot box or anywhere close.

akimira had Box #5997 from OOTPU, and it held C4 and CFC8. So if #6000 is particularly special, the aura didn't bleed over onto its neighbors.

Hi,  Thought this an interesting card that sold last night:

It was 002/280  which in itself is enought to make it desirable to some,  but the seller claimed the 'Daily' was part of the paper's title.  Surely the printing is to small for it to be part of the masthead??

Nice card nonetheless.  Btw it sold for $59.00   8)

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum January 19, 2008, 08:41:30 PM
It wouldn't be part of the masthead, but it could be from inside the paper somewhere.  The newspaper title often appears on the op-ed or reader letters page with a list of the editors and writers.  Maybe it's from there.

I found a picture of the Dual auto on  :ebay: ...but this one is not a redemption!!  It is the first signed one I have seen. I thought it was kinda strange that the ink was different colours for the autos.

Thanks all.

I just won this card recently on eBay.  Now that it is in my hands, I think it is actually a picture of Harry :o  It looks like the top right side of his head. At the bottom right of the swatch, you can kind of make out the rim of his glasses and above that, his eyebrow. I also think I may be able to see a bit of his scar. Tell me what you think.

Nice card rns!   :)

I have a question about the memos.  Does anyone know what the pale blue capital letters printed on the memos says?  I have one of the prop cards but I can't make out what it says and I have not seen a swatch with any blue printing on it.

Also is there a site where I could get a good look at a memo prop and the daily prophet that includes rns' swatch?

Thanks

Most likely, the hold-up has everything to do with the actor and nothing to do with Artbox. :-\  They can't force Gleeson to sign and return the cards.  The only thing the company can hold over his head is the payment the parties negotiated for signing the autos.

Nice cards!  Artbox often puts swatches upside down or sideways in cards.  A good example of that is the Umbridge stationery prop.  Daily Prophet swatches can also be set in many different directions, because the type in the prop can be upside down, diagonal, circular, and more.

Thanks!   :)

I always prefer the swatches that show the picture the correct side up, but I always wondered if the difference in how it was placed was because these are done with machines or if it was intentional to give a variant even more of a difference than others.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum March 20, 2008, 09:15:44 PM
IMHO, I think it's the production people not being careful about how they're setting the swatches in the card. ::)  I have a POA Daily Prophet with the lowercase letter "p" from Prophet.  It's upside down.  I asked Artbox and was told that since the paper has text in different directions, it was acceptable that the swatch wasn't right side up.  I disagree.  The title of the paper wasn't upside down and the swatch shouldn't have been, either.

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/POA/DailyProphetcard1.bmp)   (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/kbmum/POA/DailyProphetcard2.bmp)

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: Bitsy March 21, 2008, 02:54:15 AM
I agree. I've always been a little frustrated with swatches that are clearly upside down. I can't imagine it's a chore to lay them in right-side-up. Maybe it's that perfectionist in me, but I know I would be meticulous about making certain the swatches are placed properly.

Still, that's a fabulous swatch.  ;) :)

I imagine that there are a lot Virtual props (computer generated?) that look great but exist only on a hard drive somewhere.
I hope that the movies that are in the pipeline follow the books a little better and that the property people are given some ideas
for some super props and costumes. No more black swatches and no more stripped pajamas....PLEASE!

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: kbmum March 22, 2008, 08:30:52 PM
Just wait until Deathly Hallows is split into two movies.  I'll bet Artbox is going to have a very hard time getting items from the first movie, since many (if not all) will be needed for the second movie.  There's also the possibility of DH1 and DH1 Update, then DH2 and DH2 Update. ::)

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: allender March 22, 2008, 09:24:22 PM
For the two parts of Hallows, they'll undoubtedly do 'principal photography' for both of them together. Obviously they'll have to have a finished product for the first part earliest, but much of the delay for film two will be for editing, special effects, and reshoots of scenes. I expect that there will be plenty of prop and costume material that finished its job during the principal photography and doesn't need to be held for reshoots or 'pick-up' scenes of part two.

And don't forget that they'll need a lot of props and costumes to put into Memorable Moments 2 and World in 3-D 2. Not to mention things like Harry Potter Heritage or Harry Potter Quotable, which are going to have to show up for them to milk out four sets per year until we all get totally saturated. (But I also think they will be a bit disappointed because some of the "hard core" of Harry fans moved on to other things after Book 7 came out.)

I can't see the timing being very good for Artbox to do a DH1 update. The DVD release of DH1 is going to be too close to when they want to get the DH2 card set out. So maybe they'll try something different before then, since they probably won't do MM2 or 3D2 until all of the films are finished. I expect Literary Set 2 is already underway.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments

I agree.  Interest was way down for the OOPU set.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: ferdinand_the_yak March 23, 2008, 08:10:25 AM
I adore the Harry Potter series, but I agree with Terry and Cindy - the market is saturated!

I didn't get any OoTPU and did not regret it either. Looking at the prices of the cards, with the exception of say, Hermione and Harry, prices are generally declining for cards. People are getting sick of so many repeats and same ideas over and over again.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: terryweasley March 23, 2008, 09:36:09 AM
I agree with you.  There were too many repeats in the OOPU set.  I usually get every costume card to a set, and the just the rest of the cards I like.  This set I didn't keep a lot of the costume cards because they were repeats of cards from the OOP set, or out and out repeats of cards already in the OOPU set.  I hope they don't issue any nonmovie set any time soom  The Memorable Moments and 3D set were mostly repeats from previous sets too.  With the number of costumes and props in the movies, you'd think the could come up with some fresh cards.

: Re: OOTPU scans and comments
: ferdinand_the_yak March 23, 2008, 11:05:58 AM
I understand that Artbox can sometimes have their hands tied with WB determinig what they can and can't use. I've got more of an issue with the release of so many sets - 3D, MM and the ever present update sets. Wouldn't it make more sense to make one big release just after the movie is released and forego the update? That way they keep interest high (less repeats) and avoid saturating the market before the last 2 movies and inevitable MM2 etc sets come out

I agree.  Interest was way down for the OOPU set.

OH-OH! Phew!

I would prefer the one set idea too, but I imagine WB likes the earlier set because it's instant publicity for the movies.  I do think Artbox messed up in releasing too many sets in one year.  It hurt the quality of their cards, and I think caused a Harry Potter over load. I know I hardly collected any of the 3D set because it was nothing but repeats of earlier cards.  I hope Artbox will learn from their mistakes and save the sets like Memorable Moments and the 3D Set until the movies are over with.

I know I would be very happy to wait until HBP for another HP set...both as a collector and for financial reasons. Plus, it would really give everyone something to look forward to and the time to save up some spending money.

Then again, the Artbox opinion might be that it's better to issue lots of sets, even if they have to cut back on the print runs if the interest dies down a bit. I'm sure they are doing careful statistical analysis of us, while we speak.  8)

You don't think the HP card market isn't all ready saturated? :o  I think it is.

I think Cindy et al are right in that the market is saturated at present.  There are a ton of listings on eBay on any given day.  I've been selling off some of my extras and noticed that they're ending somewhat mid-range in terms of price (with a few exceptions of course).  I'm sure that a part of this may be attributed to the fact that income taxes are due next month (here in US) but, at the same time, there seems to be fewer people bidding (and noticeably less interest).  just my 5 cents.

I've noticed that on the cards from older sets there's a bit more interest (irritating to have the highest-bid rug pulled out from under me at the last second as a buyer, but good for the seller!) which has recently driven a lot of them up in price, and less in the new cards... but I've also noticed a lot more people are selling the newer cards than normal. There were cards from the OOTP update set days before the official 'release', and they just keep pouring in. :S

I've got a new card to show off.  It's a Ministry Memo Prop card.

Beautiful Card! Cards like this are like crown jewels, rare and expensive. The kind of card people admire from afar and drool over.
I think I saw one other one like this.
Perhaps if ARTBOX were to be more selective with the swatches interest in the sets would increase.
I 'm all for no more cards numbered in the 600+ range. (But I guess they do make the lessor numbered cards more desirable...less black robe swatches of any number, that is.)
Somewhere I read that if you try to please everyone you please nobody... Artbox's lament??

Oh wow... *drools* That's wonderful! I didn't think they made swatches out of those... you lucky duck! :O

There is at least one more just like the one above. (I wonder if there are more out there that didn't make it to auction, with this particular swatch?)  It was part of one of the master set's I bought from Tom.

Included are pics of my favorites included in the set, I think they're just gorgeous.

Did anyone figure out what the center of the C7 flower was made out of?  This seems to be a leather bead (or maybe hardish rubber).

P2 #210,  P8 #76,  P9 #20, P10 #20,  Pi2 #124,  C5 #157,  c7 #220

I got a reply today from Artbox concerning the Mad-eye Moody Autograph Cards:

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are still waiting for the signed cards to come in.
We hope to have the cards received in 4-6 weeks, and as soon as there are
received, all redemptions will be processed immediately.

This is the same for Kathryn Hunter.

Thank you for your patience in advance.

fyi - just received some more redemptions today.  They (Artbox) delivered the balance of my missing autos except Gleeson and Hunter.  The generic insert slip still indicates 4-6 weeks for delivery.  Sigh!

Hey has anyone heard about any updates regarding Gleeson and Hunter autos?  Just wondering.  Thanks.
