Just for anyone who might be interested--rumor has it that starting Nov. 20th, HBO will start airing a sneak preview of the next Harry Potter film, Order of the Phoenix.  ;D ;D ;D :D :D This works in conjunction with the cable premiere of GOF on Nov. 19th. 

I can't wait! :)  Does anyone know if Gary Oldman has shot his scenes yet?  There has been info and pictures about most of the actors, but not about Oldman and David Thewlis.

That's an interesting article.  It was surprising to see that Thewlis did not like CATCF.  I loved it.  I thought it was a unique take on the original and I loved the ending much better than the original b/c you finally got to see how things ended with Willy Wonka, Charlie and his family.  I thought it was really heartwarming. 


Cindy, I think I remember reading an article not too long ago that Gary Oldman was filming his scenes. I was looking for that article, but I can't seem to find it...I'll keep looking.  ;)  I can't wait to see the preview! Supposedly more information will be released this week.  :D

I think I read it on HPANA--I've been looking for it, but I can't find it.  I remember the article mentioned Gary Oldman and the filming of his scenes.  I don't think it was very detailed, but just mentioned the scenes he was filming.  I'll keep looking!  ;)

It sounds like Gary Oldman really got into his character...he's an amazing actor and is long overdue for an Academy Award, in my opinion.

its so exciting (as im a very slow reader and that sam talked me in to reading the full seven books for the first time last summer im on the 7 chapture of OoTF) reading that make me have a this devilish smile  >:D of excitment!!!!

im dreading to think what this sets gonna be like! if they do a prop card of the tapestry i'll die!! and theres so many places within this book that could possibly contain a future prop card, grimmauld place, ministry of magic, Depatment of mysteries!!!!!  ;D, Umbridge's office........... or a prop of one of her Decree's?? thats GOT TO BE A PROP!
my list is very long! i hope some of the DA sign like Luna and hopefully Helena BoNham Carter and maybe Ralph Finnes, unless theyre keeping back some amazing autos for the final movie?? i think way too much about this hehehehe

Oh my gosh--an Umbridge Decree Prop!!!!!! I had completely forgotten about that one!!!!! It has to be a prop--any of them....all of them!

I was thinking that maybe they will get Malfoy (Tom) and Snape (Alan) to sign for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince--it would make sense, given the story.  :-\ Voldemort and Hagrid might sign after the final film.   ???

Luna would be a must-have auto.   :o=  I think about this too much too!  :D

This first trailer appears to have a good synopsis of the movie.  It's going to be a long wait until July!

i read that trailer down the phone to mike and i was getting way too excited! theyre keeping the thestrals in!!!! yayayaayayyy!!

i totally agree about keeping Finnes and Hagrid for the final movie  :( and i definitly agree about malfoy and snape signing HBP cos you know its gonna be all about them in the movie! i love the whole draco trying to get his courage up storyline its gonna be amazing on screen! and snape........ i knew he was evil!
maybe they'll do weird creature card props for the thestrals and they'll be nothing in the swatch gap  :rofl: :rofl:
i hope tonks signs as well, theres going to be so many characters and groups to which they belong that we're all gonna want everyone in the film to sign hehehehee

I can't wait to see the Thestrals! I have this very vivid image in my mind and I can't wait to see if my imagination is close to what they look like!  :)

HBP is truly about Snape and Draco--I think the emotional element of HBP will be intense--I can see needing tissues already.   :'( I'm still hoping Snape really isn't evil, though--but now that JKR has confirmed that Dumbledore is absolutely dead, I can't see how Snape can't be evil.  Unless Dumbledore demanded that Snape kill him... ???  I remember reading how Dumbledore did say that "death is but the next great adventure..." or something like that.  I've actually considered that JKR might have Harry die and he would repeat those words once told to him by Dumbledore...Oh, I would cry my eyes out.  :'( :'( I hope she doesn't kill him off.  :o=

I can't imagine that it is a false report.  I think you are right--maybe someone leaked too much information before it was scheduled to be released.   :-\  I agree, it is too detailed and seems very accurate to the book to be a fake report.  ???

I also cried at GOF--I started crying when Harry gets his courage to face Voldemort...I really cried when he returned with Cedric's body.  :'( :'(  I can only imagine how I'm going to cry when Sirius dies. Although, I'm hoping there is something about the "Veil" that we don't know about.   :o=

You know, I actually wondered if parts of Umbridges' quill might be covered in some kind of red to simulate blood...it's a good possibility. Those scenes will be awesome...I know I despised Umbridge when I read the book, I can only imagine seeing her on screen! She is so mean!

ABC Family Channel is going to air all three Harry Potter movies, three nights in a row,  kicking off their 25 days of Christmas, for those who might be interested.  ;)

Well, I don't know when HBO will air but I'm very happy for the ABC Family sneak peak with the HP Weekend. The commercial is currently airing. I've seen it twice today and with the magic of the DVR I was able to slow it down ;D. Here's a great description of the little snippit of commercial.

The first thing that you see is two (what appear to be) Death Eaters, one with a blue mask and one with a green mask, I believe. It then switches to a scene with Harry in it looking scared and sweaty. Then it switches to a scene with Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna riding broomsticks in London right over the Thames River. You see the London Bridge in the background and you see a cruise tour boat that they are flying past. Then it switches to Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the Forbidden Forest backing away from something - it's either Grawp or the Centaurs. Then it switches to Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Neville, and Ginny flying past the Houses of Parliament/Big Ben. And then it switches to Harry flying towards the screen with London in the background, over the Thames River.

I think the person messed up with saying the Trio with Luna, Neville and Ginny flying over the river, I think it's is the Order :)

It could be them though Mike.  I had my doubts about how / if they would use Thestrals (sp).  This would be a way of getting them to the Ministry.  But I am going to have to speed up my reading because as far as I remember Ron never went into the Forest with Harry and Hermione - wasn't he always practicing Quidditch?  I know this is a small point but why involve Ron?  Still it sounds amazing and I can't wait till we get the preview  ;D.  Thanks Mike  ;D.

Yeah, but Rupert already said they filmed a few scenes with the Thestrals, so why would they all be flying brooms? I don't believe Ron was with the group when they first meet Grawp but it was just Harry and Hermione with Unbridge(sp?) the second time. Oh well, we'll see in the preview ;)

Oh I do hope they keep that in  :o=  But don't forget for PS they filmed all the Peeves scenes and where are they now  :'(

We'll see those eventually. After PoA when people wanted extended version of the films because of how great the LotRs one were. Warner Bros. said that after movie 7's DVD  release they will start releasing extended version of the movies with everything they filmed and even more behind-the-scenes footage! So will see Peeves...eventually ::)

Back to OotP. The mask thing was creepy, I don't think it was a death eater because it's not like the masks seen in GoF. I think it's Voldemort with his new disguise. Thats was the only thing unexplainable. The entire clip features 5 seconds on two masks shots, trio shot, and the rest was all flying over the river so there is alot of room for speculation :P

What were the Deatheaters wearing in the Ministry of Magic?  Did they have mask on then?  Oooo I hope they keep in the bit where the Deatheater breaks that clock thing and his head keeps shrinking back to a baby  >:D

yeah they do keep their masks on cos i think at one point when lucius is trying to get the prophercy from Harry, he rips off his mask cos he wants to kill him etc lol i think bellatrix does as well, i hope she does, i want to see her face when she laughs and screams :P

I was getting that Q thing initially late last night...now it should say You Tube and have a play button right in the middle of the small screen.  Keep checking back because mine switched over early this morning.  :)

I'm pretty sure thats it's not the trio with Neville, Luna, and Ginny. I think it's Harry after he gets picked up at the Dursleys. I slowed it down once more when I saw it last night and you'll notice everyone is wearing a robe but Harry who is wearing is usual blue jackets.

I havent seen all the pictures yet because Mugglenet is really slow and sometimes the window crashes because every HP fan is the world is there checking out the pictures :rofl:

Also, am I the only one that noticed that the Voldy picture is from GoF not OotP :-\

I agree, Mike, I think that scene with the broomsticks is of the Order taking Harry to Grimmauld Place...I slowed it down as well, and am convinced it is the beginning of the film after he is taken from the Dursleys.  I'm pretty sure the filmmakers wouldn't mess with the story that badly, where they have those members of the DA flying brooms instead of Thestrals.  :-\

Ok, I am so glad you thought that the pic of Voldemort was from GOF--when he's looking for Harry after he's already gotten to the Portkey, right? I just thought I must be wrong that it was from GOF.  ::)

Thats not Grawp, he's suppose to be hairy :P But I dont think that is the look they are going with. With Warner Bros. I dont think they would release something like that so early.

Well, he doesn't look like how I envisioned when reading OOTP.  I guess what they showed was a sketch or model of Grawp, like they did with the Thestrals.  He looks a bit more "cartoon" than what I would've anticipated. I think you're right though, Mike, I think WB hasn't shown us the final product...but I do think it is what they are thinking. Who knows, though, if that is what he will look like, it will still probably look awesome when it's in the film, in action.  :o=

The got the ears right :rofl: I looked up the chapter art and the Grawp shown in the preview had the same ears - LOL. He looks like Hagrid, don't you think. A more nasty looking Hagrid. But if he doesn't it doesn't matter because it's his half brother and I don't think most half-siblings looks alike...do they :-\

have you guys seen the back of harrys hand when he writes in his own blood in detention, on mugglenet? its so wrong it says 'i will not break rules' instead of i must not tell lies, i hope thats just a practise cos for one its on the wrong hand and two its an important part of the story, as everyone thinks hes lying, breaking rules is rubbish - everyone does that
im really worried its gonna be too different  :(

Well, maybe one of her rules is to not tell lies.  Maybe he writes the wrong thing, but in context it will be right.  If that makes sense :P
