I was watching POA last night with my daughter.  In the scene with Buckbeak, right after Ron pushes Harry in the back, Buckbeak does a POO on the ground!  I rewound just to make sure and it's really there.  Has anyone else seen it?  You have to be paying very close attention. :o

I didn't know about it before today

That's EXACTLY what I mean Beckham!  I don't know about cards.  How about 2 minutes in the Penalty box?

No, that's actually what i was going to put, but I'm kind of new and wasn't sure what was allowed. ;D  Thanks for clarifying!

I am not really sure it is allowed????  Probably best for you to keep your record of good behavior, I have been a naughty boy before >:D

By the way, naughty boy...what about the film cells I've been wanting?  Have any duplicates?

: Re: Bathroom humour in POA
: beckham1 May 07, 2005, 05:55:25 AM
Many duplicates, and I have had many requests, the thing I hate about the film cell cards (although I do think they are cool) is how do you put a price on them?  The film cell in the card really makes each one more or less valuable.

Like my film cell card with Hermione punching Draco, that would certainly be in more demand than most, etc etc.  And I don't have a digital camera so I am going to hook up my scanner Sat. and do some scanning and hopefully it will do a decent job of showing the cell pictures.  I am still kicking around what to do with them I may put them on  :ebay: just to give everyone a fair shot at the cells they want.  I really need to list some cards and do free shp for shackers who win them.

So again the dilema is how do I associate a price with them????

Yeah, that's a good question.  The Hermione's always go for more.  Especially with Hermione or Draco on the cell.  I'm not picky about the cell as long as it's not of anything I already have.  IM me when you get a chance.

By the way, if you listen carefully to the Buckbeak scene, you can hear a "plop" when the poop hits the ground. :P My kids think it's hysterical and make me play the scene over and over again. ::)

I want a cell with Hermione punching Draco because thats the best and funnies part of the movie and with it being in the same card as the cell its something I want in my collection just everyone gets one before me :P

I spotted the poo from day one

Wow that is very perceptive to spot the $#@*.  I am going to have to check that out tonight.  I have at least 5 people who have PM'd me about the film cell cards and as posted previously I don't even know how to put a value on them.  Just as the Hermione punching Draco would certainly worth more than most cells...hence the problem, and I will have to figure out how to give everyone a shot at it.

We could...bid.

I mean it would be nice to have a film card with a cell like that I just need one of the Hermione card for my Emma collection, doesnt really matter whats on the cell.

I found a Hermione punch card with cells from the scene, after searching eBay and dealer sites for five months.  They are very hard to find. :-\

Thats why I've told my self I'd never got one

: Re: Bathroom humour in POA

It was also fairly expensive. ::)

That what makes film cards so cool, yet such a pain.  At least you know what a Hermione Robe is worth and it will be a similar value every time as long as it isn't a variant.

If you look at the price guide, you can see how filmcard prices have fluctuated.  Even the Hermione punch card has a range from $8 to $35!

In the extras DVD, when they are going through how they made buckbeak etc...one of the guys mentions that part of the film, saying it's probably the first cgi animal to ever poo in a film! lol

Hey Beck,  just put an opening bid on each card at a price you can bear to let it go for.  :'(  :'(  If it's too high no one will bid.   :P If it's too low a lot of people will want it and bid the price up.   :o=  If you make it a private auction (names concealed) then the forum members won't be having their noses bent if one of us outbids the other.   >:()  >:()
Everybody wins.
You get a fair price and the card sells for it's true value.
The winner then knows exactly what the card is really worth.

That sounds like a great idea to me too.  I'm all for the whole supply/demand thing.  It's the American way!

I don't know so much about it being the "American" way, but it sure sounds like the "If-it-were-my-card-for-sale-I'd-want-the- best-price-I-could-get-for-it" way. And just what would I do with all the $$$$$?  ???  Buy more cards, of course.  ;D

Otherwise I'd just put it on Diagon Alley and say-  Who wants it, PM me and I send it to you and I'll even pay the postage.

Sure it is.  I never said that capitalism wasn't anyone elses way, but it's definately an idea that's embraced by this American. ;)

I can't hit the ban button because I'm laughing too much :P

I'm not sure if a poop card would go over to big.  What I want to know is how they got a machinical hippogriff to poop in the first place?  Now if Harry or Draco had stepped in it first that would be a card worth pursuing.
