Hey Beck,  just put an opening bid on each card at a price you can bear to let it go for.  :'(  :'(  If it's too high no one will bid.    If it's too low a lot of people will want it and bid the price up.     If you make it a private auction (names concealed) then the forum members won't be having their noses bent if one of us outbids the other.    
Everybody wins.
You get a fair price and the card sells for it's true value.
The winner then knows exactly what the card is really worth.

I don't know so much about it being the "American" way, but it sure sounds like the "If-it-were-my-card-for-sale-I'd-want-the- best-price-I-could-get-for-it" way. And just what would I do with all the $$$$$?    Buy more cards, of course. 

Otherwise I'd just put it on Diagon Alley and say-  Who wants it, PM me and I send it to you and I'll even pay the postage.

Sure it is.  I never said that capitalism wasn't anyone elses way, but it's definately an idea that's embraced by this American.

By the way, if you listen carefully to the Buckbeak scene, you can hear a "plop" when the poop hits the ground. My kids think it's hysterical and make me play the scene over and over again.

I'm not sure if a poop card would go over to big.  What I want to know is how they got a machinical hippogriff to poop in the first place?  Now if Harry or Draco had stepped in it first that would be a card worth pursuing.
