Okay, I ordered 3 boxes from a local comic store who does all their dealings with Diamond Comic Distributors (on Artbox's list).  I didn't pay yet, as I was told I would not have to until they came in.  The shop gets an invoices from Diamond Comics every Saturday for the items that will arrive the upcoming Wednesday.  They only get shipments from them once a week.  I called today, and the boxes were not yet on their invoice, so I need to call again next Saturday to see if they will come in that Wednesday.  A week and a half from now!!  Should I be really nervous right now, or should all be okay?

Like most other distributors in the US, Diamond Comics probably hasn't received its shipment, so it didn't bill the store for items that aren't in stock yet.  Even if DC gets the boxes on Monday, it wouldn't be able to ship them to the store for Wednesday.  I think you'll be okay, but I also understand why you're nervous.

Thanks kbmum, you are always so reassuring.  I need that right now. I am going to a card show this coming Saturday (it is also on Friday) and hope some dealers still have some boxes on Saturday for sale so I can buy at least another one for myself.  Of course, that is if anyone in the US even has them by then.

Other people on the forum are also expecting cases this week, so unless there's some big shipping snafu, there will be dealers with boxes at the show.  Don't forget, with the possibility of 20,000-30,000 boxes, there will be plenty to go around, at least initially.

I don't think you have to worry yet.  I am thinking artbox decided to pump out some more cases late this past week to make the demand.  I am having one drop shipped from Artbox directly and still haven't got it and I am only 1 shipping day away (300 miles).

Also my local guy gets his shipments from his distributor every day and he still doesn't know when he is getting them for sure but thinks Wed and his distributor gets everything from artbox the day after they ship it (because we are close).  So if he gets them on Wed that will mean Artbox didn't ship it til Monday.  I still don't know how the UK got there shipment so fast.  Cards Inc must have done a great job negotiating that.  I thought you guy always got those special costume cards because you had to wait longer.

Thanks for all your help.  I will wait until Saturday to see if the shop was invocied yet.  If not, then i will really start to get nervous.  Although I am sure I would be able to find 3 boxes somewhere to buy, if needed.  I hope.

Beckham1, it makes me feel better that your drop shipment hasn't made it yet either.  I know that totally sucks for you, but it gives me hope that I wil eventually get mine.  Keep us updated and let us know when you finally get yours!!!!

How? With a flotilla of highly trained carrier pigeons of course

Nope, we get the costumes because the cards inc price is a third more than the best US price I have found.

Besides, didn't the UK shipment for the first set arrive one to two weeks after people started opening cases in the US?  Maybe Artbox is trying to even things out a bit.

This is true.  This time, the UK gets theirs first.  I think that is fair.

Do you mind my asking what dealer this is? Or at least the location (state)? Thanks.

I was just in touch with Diamond Comics and was told that they expected them on the 3rd, but have not yet received them.
