Author Topic: Will we ever see a master set of this one ebay?  (Read 2707 times)

This set is obviosly one hard set to put together.  It appears that the 25 case incentive card might not be the hardest card to get out of this set, with rumors that Harry is limited to 65 cards.  So will we ever see a master set of these cards on ebay?  What does anyone speculate the value of a master set to be?  Just curious.  My cards never arrived yesterday as planned, so I am hoping on monday, and hoping my delivery many doesn't collect harry potter cards and noticed what he was delivering.  I would hate to have his grubby hands on my triple signed autograph.

Well, I think there will be but they will be expensive! I bought 2 (master sets of the original) off of one guy who just bought extremely rare cards of the original hp release and paid through the nose and then he turned around and sold them as a set at a cheaper price!

Ya, I hope that guy gets out of the crazy house soon, so he can do the same for this set Smiley

It really is a collectors dream, a ton of inserts that only a handful are really hard to get, but there are so many other inserts to go after, that there is something for everyone.  You opened 123 cases?!?! Wow, how many of the top 4 autos did you pull (harry, ron, hermoine, and triple)

Are you talking about Koyo141 (something like that) from Japan?

i'll be listing an autograph master set (broken down into 1) the triple auto. 2) the harry auto 3) the ron auto 4) the hermione auto and 5) the remaining 12 autograph cards as of tomorrow night through thursday. I have a complete master set. The prop and costume master set will follow sometime on Friday and then the case topper, film cel, and normal master sets will follow on Saturday. Just thought I would let everyone know...wish me luck!

Good luck!

Go on then folks - should a master set ever turn up on ebay - guestimate what it's going to be worth £7,000? $1200?

Does even Kyo have pockets deep enough for that?

The whomping willow is going to be nowhere near as hard to find as the autos... even if there are 58 whomping willows distributed (and I think there are more) and there are 65 Dans they are sealed in packs and much harder to discover than having them put in your hand when you go to pick up your cases!

Not to mention that the auto is a bit cooler than the whomping willow in my opinion - but that's all down to opinion for sure!

Yup, definitely an opinion, as I am a bigger fan of the costumes and props than the autos.  Don't get me wrong though, I would love to have one of those autos......

Even my wife thinks the Willow card is a great looking design ( and she only likes Star Trek and Simpsons cards )

So another vote for Props over Autos in this set  Cheesy

I must put my vote in for the autographs, the props and costumes look cool, but I prefer the autographs as I know (at least pretty good idea) that it has been in the actors hands and it is actually their signature.  I never know what role the prop cards, and costumes played in the movie, they might have sat in a trunk as extras in case there were problems with the 1st props ( or costume)  I do feel MUCH better about artbox props and costumes that I do about Topps "pieces of material used in the creation".  don't get me wrong, I like it all, but sometimes I am forced to choose, and I choose the autographs, but I can see the other side as well.

Oi you lot!!!

I didn't say I didn't like the props just that part of the whomping willow (which is a strange material close up - not a fake leaf like last time) is less cool to me than the autos!

Nothing would separate me from my wanted poster!  Grin
