Opinions on POA Update Set

I am curious to know opinions (maybe predictions would be a better word) before the set hits the market.

What does everyone think is going to be the value of this set?  I know some have bought extra early to make sure they have enough (I fall into this category) and are undecided on if they will open all of it or save for later sale.  Obviously factors like the amount of inserts per case and a lot of unknowns like the costume cards and auto print runs (as well as total cases produced will affect the value.)  Anyway  just want to know what everyones opinion is?

OK my personal take....  I am not sure if I bought too much or too little?  I was one of the ones who missed out on FOTR and TT boxes because I didn't know they existed for a long time (I have spent way too much $$$ chasing a few auto's and costumes from LOTR after the fact) and found out about HP original when it was already at $75 a box and bought a case that cost me $105 per box ($1050 for the case).  

Well I didn't want to miss the boat on this release and pay for a case what I could get two cases for so I bought mine early and often.  I figured better to by to much then not enough.  Now I worry a little that everyone else thought the same thing and the inserts will be much higher print runs and much harder to get a short printed card.  Also if the case run is much greater maybe everyone bought early and even though it is sold out there will be a lot of boxes and case on the open market after the release.

If the inserts are down to one costume or prop per box just think how disappointing it will be to open 5 boxes and get 4 costume cards # 2000 and one prop # to 1000

I love to open packs and get the surprise of a great card, but I also hate opening a $60 box and pulling the same costume card 3 times in a row.   So I hope I made the right call and find value in the boxes I open.  I surely don't expect to pull 10 harry auto's, 5 rupert's, 3 triple auto's etc... but I do hope to get value in the overall purchase and feel good about the money I spent

I agree with all that!!  I think that if the product is quality, and there is a decent chance of pulling your money's worth in the boxes, then I will be happy.  The first set had some dud boxes, but that was ok, because for each dud box I got, I got another box that had 3 inserts.  But I don't want to get 10 boxes with 10 costumes numbered out of 2000, and a few autographs that are a dime a dozen.  If the really good cards are so hard to get, it will drive people from buying much of the product.  I really don't think this will be the case as artbox delighted me with the first set, and at this stage I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but we will see in the days to come.

  I have the same predicament. Im only getting 5 boxes but I am not sure that I will get my monies worth, especially with no real confirmation on insert rates and numbers. I loved the last set even though I only have about 6 cards from the set, I still think they are great. They are much better than the LOTR costume cards, not in quality but in size, I love how they are normal card size.

I am just hoping that the cards are not out of like 1000 or 2000 and there are limited ones, even like out of 450, this will make the set more valuable and well worth purchasing the boxes... well I guess we will just have to wait and see but I am praying every night for a triple auto....*laughs* well not really ...but I think I should start!!

It seems that word is that there are going to be even more short printed costumes this release, but assuming the additional cases produced they will likely be harder to pull.

Regardless these will be awesome cards, I guess we will know when we start opening the boxes.

I wish you guys would hurry up and get your boxes/cases. I know being in Ozland I have to wait a bit, but I'm still chomping at the bit with excitement over what you guys discover. The suspense is starting to kill me

I don't mind a run of 1000 or 2000 per card, as long as it is a really neat card, I will be happy.  I really like the Weasley card from the first set, and it had the highest run.  Of course, I wuold be thrilled with the Hermione pink sweater, if I had it.  I just want my boxes!!!!! And now I need retail ones and tins too?  This is getting to be too much.
