Is going to LFACC2, but what I dont understand is why is there such a huge push for him, people want to see him rather then other guests?

Did I miss 1/2 of the movie because I read showmasters threads and people say "MAJOR LOTR ACTOR" now.. am I missing something? because I could have sworn last time I looked I had all 3 movies memorized and he was in it for uh about 15 mins?

Goofy:

Maybe Craig Parker makes these appearances because the other LOTR's actors have moved on with their careers and are not available or do not want to do these shows.  I think that is why you see Sala and Lawrence doing so many shows as well.

I think savage is on the right track. Many of the big stars have new projects they'd rather do. And the number of cons and such has rapidly grown and all of them want the big names, etc.. I wouldn't be surprised if some actors are getting tired of them.
But for the lesser known ones, these events are a great chance to still milk their LOTR fame for all it's worth.
That being said, I'd absolutely love to meet Craig.
 Cheesy
As FTY said, he is Craig. He's quite good-looking, has a fantastic sense of humor (listen to the TT cast commentary), is quite talented (he did so many different voices for the movies besides being a wonderful Haldir) and from everything I've heard, is absolutely wonderful with the fans.
There was not enough of Craig in the movies--I can't believe PJ killed Haldir  :'(

I liked Craig's character in the LOTR's.  Mark and Roz met him and said he was fantastic to talk to and was very happy to have his picture taken with them.  You can see how tall Mark is as he towers over Craig in the picture I saw.

Roz if you still have those photos please post them here for all to see please.   Smiley

I agree with you Alyssa, I was not happy having Haldir killed at Helm's Deep almost right before Aragorn's eyes!  Sad moment for me in that film.  I did not know he did other voices in the film either.  I would be interested to know what he did.  Thanks.   Smiley

he he.
let me see if i can remember.
In FOTR, he did the Black Rider that speaks in the Shire ("baggins" "shire"), and the line "give us the halfling she-elf"
in ROTK he voiced the Witch King, Gothmog, Gothmog's lieutenant (the one with the head oh his helmet)
he also did some of the Nazgul screams. I feel like there are more but that's it off the top of my head.
He apparently does a great gollum voice also.

Hmm I obviously got my wires crossed I thought I had heard in a cast commentary along the way that Serkis had done that  Undecided

You might be right. Craig and Andy did a lot of extra orc and nazgul voices. Hard to keep track sometimes and it's not like you can tell by the voices  Tongue

Well, everyone has their favorite and that is Craig for many people. And since two of the most popular (Orlando and Viggo) never do conventions and a third (Elijah) only does them rarely, Craig might be people's number 1 choice.
But still a little odd.

adding yet another voice to Craig's resume:
the King of the Dead. Yup, all of the lines spoken by the King of the Dead are Craig speaking.
This was not the original intention and Paul Norrell did do the ADR for all his stuff but apparently some last minute editing meant that Craig was called on to do the voice. And yes, Paul is slightly bitter.
So more Craig trivia for you all.

I wouldnt' count on it. Paul said there was only one line he remembered saying that wasn't in the theatrical cut. But who knows. Maybe Paul's voice will replace Craig's though.
