I am thinking about getting together a master set of Trilogy.. well we are well on our way to getting one actually Smiley But I begrudge buying FIGWIT!

Now fortunately I didn't make up a ROTK Master set - so at least I am not buying him for a second time, but still ... FIGWIT???

Roz Roz Roz

I don't know, there is no one out there that feels this way

everyone want 2 of FIGWITs auto he is such a pivital charactor in the writings of Tolken. I can't belive you don't want to pay at least £100 for thsi auto

all joking aside this must be the most unwanted auto ever in the history of auto cards. He is in the films for about 6 seconds and gets 2 auto cards. Where as Wormtougue who i feel is am important charactor does not have an auto card at all. and many more for that matter.

So to sum up my RANT figwit out. I would have prefered a 4th Sam auto or even third orc on the left (the one scratching his head) auto

Wormtongue would've been a great choice ... just think of all the wonderful grovelling images there's been of him to use on a card ... *sighs* Topps missed out again on that one Undecided

Or how about Tom Bombadil for an auto card? Shocked

Or even Isildur? Tongue

The problem with that is the waiting Olly! Wink

So?

And Figwit?

I have to say that Bombadil was far more entertaining a character than dear old Figwit will ever be! Tongue

yes ... I know he wasn't in it .... I was just taking it to the extreme! Wink

I still think you ought to go for the master set Roz ~ perhaps trade to get Figwit rather than pay for it?

They do look lovely cards and I can't wait to get my hands on the autos I've bought.  Smiley

Hi folks, wanna trade me for a FIGWIT. I'll trade anything for it... humm let me see. I can send ... this rather fine one pound coin Smiley

Sorry, I just find it hard!

You guys who have bought master sets before - how do you bite the bullet?

Concentrate on getting the others in the set first (you've mad an excellent start on the set already) and by the time you've found and bought/traded those, the price should've settled a bit and some of the fuss died down and with any luck you'll be able to pick it fairly cheaply.

Keep looking abroad too as I found some of the previous LOTR costumes at reaaaaaally silly prices prior to this set being released so don't despair!

I haven't quite decided on what I'm prepared to pay for the Figwit auto when I come to get it and the same goes for the Proudfoot and Eomer autos too, so I do know how you feel. Wink

Besides, the cards have only just hit the UK market so you won't be able to get a clear picture of what the Figwit will sell for here. I've already noticed which cards are more popular than others so I would certainly say for you to sit back and wait.
Perhaps not six months as Olly suggested, but I reckon a month or so ... unless you see one at a daft price and nab it first of course!  Roll Eyes

Hope that helps a bit. Cheesy

Yes of course!

We've slotted a lot of the hard to find ones into our collection  Grin so I shall be content for a while.

Although I will have to ask you all to email cards inc to protest that we need a binder (please... I was joking... I'll get killed for saying that Wink)

(Nienna... I can't wait for your lecture on how to mock Voldermort. I have never had the confidence before Tongue)

You got off to a flying start by getting the harder cards first which is always best.

As for a binder, then count me in from the cheap seats and I'll heckle for a binder with you! Tongue

I mocked Voldmort ~ ask me how!" ... I'll have to PM the link for you to read the story where that line comes from .... it's entitled 'Naked Quidditch' and you'll have a good laugh reading it. Grin
I won't post it here because of the chance of under-18's reading it ... sorry samwise Undecided
