Olly has kindly offered to allow us to put up a Yak Shack Forums banner behind his stall at Memorabilia. Take a look at this and everyone's input is much appreciated... Smiley

The colours are limited due to it being made out of cut vinyl making it look extra cool so that's why there's no special effects Wink

We'd like also to mention that Chris (Gimli) will be painstakingly making this banner and so much appreciation and thanks will be going to him too!

From what I gather he's going to have to lay 2 colours over each other for every shading Mark has on there - so he'll be sorry he told Mark he likes a challenge Tongue

So what do you think? Any Changes in wording?

In other YakShack publicity news - we might be having badges made for memorabilia too - so let us know if you are going and we'll have one made with your username on Smiley There will be lots of variations but a "print run" - tee hee of only 100 (that's the point where our manufacturer (did I mention this is Chris again) will get too tired Tongue)

Welcome here? Of course you feel welcome here you've got the best spot on the sofa by the fire - oi budge up Wink

On a serious note it's actually a gesture that's much much appreciated Chris, I hope it doesn't take you too long (or drive you too crazy). If it makes you feel better it will be reused... goodness knows where but we'll always have it to hand Grin

probably chatting up the Stars for free interviews for The Yak Mag  Wink of course will be great and not just a place to get promos and throw the mag away cause it is so out of date........

yeah Gimli,

I too am sick of that "other forum" and rarely visit it anymore. I don't visit it anymore for the following 3 reasons:

1. first of all it <edited by moderator>
2. and whenever you <edited by moderator>
3. <deleted by moderator>

That about sums it up, sorry to rant guys!

Very funny sonarghost... just in case no one quite gets it - note that his post was not edited by a moderator.. well not on this forum Tongue

If you go get moderated for extremely bad behaviour it will say <<edited by Roz/Ferdinand The Yak/Samwise16/MakTheYak on X date>> and you'll be asked to never return to the magic kingdom too.. and you'll have to sit in a corner for a week Grin

Now stop hijacking my banner thread Tongue and make comments on the banner Wink

I think it's ace but it is rather difficult with 3 colours to play with; Chris says the yellow is nice and vibrant so the Yak should stand out well.

lol, sorry Roz! I forgot the fact that not everyone will get the humor unless they visited there! I think the banner looks fantastic. I don't believe it has to have alot of colors to look great, and the wording is right to the point....wow, remind me to hire you guys for my PR work in the future!

That's very nice of Gimli to put in so much time and effort for the forum as well.

That's lucky because it was going to be as tall as the Empire State building once we had folded it that many times Wink

Do you have any ideas what the backing board is made of? That would help us Wink

If you decide not to have theyakshack banner Mark has a very nice LOTR related banner (big Photo of Aragorn)you could put up instead to attract all the fans to your stall...

Though it has to be said it has metal rings in it - in the corners... if it's a heavy banner we'll have to talk to Chris about reiforcing where we pin it/tie it up to.

Did I mention we have to ask Ed Van Halen (6 foot 5) to stand on Mark's (6 foot 4) shoulders to get the Aragorn banner down? Did I also mention that this is half way up a stair way? Hmm... let's stick with TheYakShack banner.
