Autos have started to appear on ebay, haven't looked to see if there are costume cards also, but I assume that there are...

Woo the Aragorn card (well all of them) are GREAT - but I do like the Aragorn one - that beautiful riverside scene with the Argonaths is breathtaking so I musssst find that one!

Right - for those of you with too many cases to open each pack (why you want to keep sealed dud packs I don't know - I would have thought you would want base sets but here goes, there are apparently 2 different wrapper designs  a Frodo and a Gandalf. Apparently in one box all the costumes were in Frodos, and the autos were from Gandalfs. The autos, were found very near the same place in each box.

So since we all know how to find costume cards in LOTR packs that should save you opening all of the Frodo packs (or whichever the costume ones are in your box). Well last time (I mean ROTK) Topps switched it but tended to stick to the pattern of autos in one design and then prismatics in the other.

I do have to say I like the design of the costume cards, though is it me (I haven't seen any in the flesh yet) or are the cloth swatches smaller than usual?

It looks like UK product will be allocated, don't panic as I am 90% sure your dealer will swallow the allocation him/herself.

The absoloutely stonkingly exciting good news is that Darren is tapping on his table, awaiting the UK batch's arrival at 2 pm today

I'm itching to get my hands on the base set and possibly an Aragorn auto (why does VM always look so uncomfortable in Elessar pics???). The autos don't look that good in scans, but I have been told they are stunning in the flesh! Though, I agree with Ben they should have signed in silver

With the way chrome works, when you see them in hand I think you would agree silver wouldnt show up,very well or at all, how the cards work and silver sigs work it would be better blue, or a lighter area for them so sign in

Heres to hoping I have a box at my front door when I get home!

Quite often some boxes seem to be yielding 3 autos and a costume   which is amazing!

No we never Ebay LOTR's products, cause we have no problem selling them off our website. We don't have a store werer strictly an internet business, just our Ebay one, which is nice cause today i'm so tired i'm working in my slippers  

However Roz we will be ebaying HPU stuff.

Hope everyone gets there boxes soon, we had just 7 cases of this one and we never pulled  Pippin's Gondorian Tunic Costume that was (1-691)

I once went to a friend's to have dinner with him and his Mum after I'd walked solidly for 3 days in Snowdonia (big mountains in Wales for those (surely very few) that don't know) because I simply *couldn't* get my shoes on my feet were so sure... half way through dinner his Mother noticed... much hilarity and laughing at Roz ensued!

Ooh I can't wait! That Pippin sounds a devil to find!!!

I just busted my case....and....

it sucked (not the product just my luck) I got 5 costume cards (out of 8 boxes mind you) and only 12 auto's in my 8 boxes.

Oh and 3 of my 5 costumes were frodo costume :'( cards(easiest pull) 1 Aragorn 1 Elrond

Autos were as follows
-Figwit auto
-Bilbo Auto x 2
-Eomer auto
-Pippin auto
-Proudfoot auto
-Arwen auto
-Sauron auto
Gamling auto
-King Ellesar auto
-Denethor auto
-Gorbag auto  JK  
-and 1 harry, ron, and hermione triple
-wait that is in my next case

So if someone will trade a few costume cards for my extra frodo's that would be great.  I will be interested to see if I just got a crap case or if anyone else comes up short.
And yes I did look again at the boxes to make sure they were hobby and the all said approx 2 auto's per box and 1 costume :'(

I feel sorry for you Beckham as the amount of money you spent and what you received in return stinks plain and simple.  That has to be the worst distribution I have ever seen for a Topps product.  You are short 4 Auto cards and 3 Costume cards.  I would be ripped if it was me.

Do the boxes say approx 2 autos and one or approx one costume?

I have heard of 2 or 3 boxes yielding 3 autos So I thought they were being generous with product not shafting our Becks!

Since you are in the US it's worth giving them a call (there's pretty much no support for international customers)... be assertive Becks... I know you seem quiet etc but if you are clever enough to get a yellow card on purpose I am sure you are clever enough to be persistant and get what is due to you - even if they send you lots of proudfeet autos

The set does look nice but there are way too many repeats of Autos and Clothing cards from prior sets.  If you already have these Autos at least for me it is not worth the money.  I purchased the only 2 new Autos in this set - Sala Baker as Sauron and Noel Appleby as Proudfoot.  The Aragorn Clothing card has the same material he wore under his Gondorian Armor from the ROTK Update set.  

The reason why you have 2 Auto and a Clothing Card in each box speaks volumes as to the non-popularity of this set.  You can also see on ebay that prices are low for all of these cards as they should be.  I guess that if I did not have the Auto & Clothing cards from prior sets I would be interested if for no other reason than you get 3  cards per box or should get let me say in deference to Beckham instead of the one card normally.

A note to all who are looking for good prices on Topps Trilogy Auto & Clothing cards - Tomunique - ebay Sellers name is one of the best.  He has both auctions and great buy it now prices that blow away almost everyone else selling on ebay.  Mark & Roz can also attest to this as they have dealt with Tom as well.
