My sister pull a empty dumbledore autograph out from a pack.

I know we can sent it back to artbox to get a new card. But my question is

Would you keep the card? I am a little anxious to sent the card to the USA and hope i get a new card. And we do not need another dumbledore for our collections.

My sister want to sell it on ebay, so is the card worth it.

Hey T+F, welcome to the forum!

Actually (so far) I have not seen an unsigned card on ebay - although I have heard of one or two unsigned ones.

Lots of us came from LOTR into collecting HP and certainly in that instance an unsigned auto can be worth as much or MORE than a signed auto - for example - the recent going rate (well 2 so far) for a FOTR Boromir unsigned (worth $150 signed) is $350  Shocked

If you are in the UK and want to send it back to artbox for a signed one then send it either "airsure" or "international signed for" and ask for extra insurance up to £80 to £100 I would say.

My advice would be to sit back and wait for the supercollectors on this forum to say what they think, and if there's a lot of interest then put it on ebay  Grin

Hmm

No replies, that is odd!

I don't know any people who collected LOTR blanks who have gone on to collect the Potter set so I am not sure who to ask directly. I am surprised none have even commented!

I have heard of a blank dumbledore before, but I have not heard of a blank of any other card. If I were you I might "sound it out" on ebay with a reserve at about what a Dumbledore auto goes for, if it doesn't fetch as much then you can send it to Artbox for a replacement. If it fetches more (not sure why but they do seem to in LOTR) then you can sell it and get a signed one and have some pennies left over (sorry Euro cents) to get a few packs of the update set  Grin

So a big sorry if my sentences look sometimes a little bit crazy. But i try......  So thank god for my dictionary  Grin

Besides this Forum looks more familiar.  Cheesy

Anyone who finds it can of course post. I think there was a reaction but not a very helpful one  Grin

Roz made a good suggestion.  Since you and your sister think that the unsigned card isn't necessary for your collection, you might as well try to sell it on eBay with a reserve.  There are people who have both the Rosmerta auto and the redemption card, so I think there will be collectors interested in your card.  Good luck!

I say keep it. It is a variation that I would expect not many people have... it may only be you.

or... sell it to someone on this board. (or fleabay if you have to)

Also if you are to sell it via ebay..sell it right before the update comes out or right before x-mas... to get the best price.

I saw an unsigned Charmed card at the show I was at, but the guy turned it over, and it looks like the guy signed a few of his on the back of the card instead.  It was pretty neat.

Now I recommend selling it, unless you really want his auto for your own collection.  In that case, send it back to artbox, but just so you know, they may take a while to respond to your email.

Do you mind my asking how long it took for them to respond?  I sent them an email a week ago, and still have not got a response.

If you are selling this card on eBay, please post the auction info when you do.... I would be interested in watching what happens. But I would suggest that you do not list it until just before the Update set is released.
