I thought I read somewhere (maybe a thread here) that the POA Update Tins where going to have costume cards randomly inserted?

Roz did you post info on the tins for POA Update?  If so can you tell me what thread or repost here!

It's in the "Latest PoA Update news from Cards Inc" thread, near the bottom of page 4.  Smiley  There will be two exclusive costume cards randomly packed in the retail foils that come with the tin.

Yes on Potomac... but before splashing out on them I'd wait for official info from artbox about the clothing cards in the tins !!!

And insert ratio's!

If they are 1 costume per 10 tins it would be cheaper to pick up the card seperately I would think.  If they are 1 every 4 tins or so it might be worth picking a few up.

I can't see dealers letting them go below what they cost them... but that's just my thoughts.

But we have to await further information on that one before we can start madly buying I think

Will the tins be sold only to dealers, or to retailers as well?  Tins from the first set were available in the US at a couple of retail chain stores.

What does everyone do with all these tins Huh How do you store them and is there a practical use for them Huh After getting all the LOTR ones for the exclusive cards and the HP ones for the same reason they are now just taking up room and collecting dust. They are very nice but all I am really after is the cards.

Well the original plan was to make 2 cards exclusive to the tins.

However one large distributor refused to stock them so it's not definite now that they will do this! So I wouldn't order them on the off chance if I were you  Undecided I think we'll have to play the waiting game in the meantime.

I have seen ten tin cases for sale and thought it would be worth ordering a case of tins if there was an exclusive auto or costume inserted.  If anyone hears anything please post.

Anyone have any further news on what this 'exclusive' card consists of ?

I enquired with Potomac, who just got back to me with the following :

"Hi Colin
You get one exclusive card per tin.  I believe it is a regular card and
not a costume or prop card.  Here is the exact text from Artbox:

Each collectible tin features high-quality full-color graphics on the
outside, and inside each tin you will find a great assortment of Harry
Potter trading card foil packs. The Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
AzkabanT collectible tin will have 4 foil retail packs and 1 exclusive
trading card inside each tin. The exclusive trading card inside each tin
cannot be found anywhere else. Be a part of Harry Potter and join this
magical journey that has captured hearts and imaginations all over the
world!

So I'm none the wiser really  Huh

Any ideas anyone ?

It is just like the tins from the first set.  The exclusive card is a card that actually has a picture on it that is the same as the picture on the front of the tin. Nothing really big.

I do plan on getting each tin though, as I do like them.

With or without the exclusives, I still would like to get them, but if they do definitely end up with those exclusives, I may need to buy more than expected Wink

Keep us posted Roz!!
