The chrome set having 2 autographs and 1 costume per hobby box is gonna be great for the set!!! I might be excited about it now. Faramir seems to be the only hard one and he is only 1:320. The costume cards will be a little bit harder but even then the odds are pretty good. Just getting 2 autographs in every box has got me excited.

Rittenhouse do this a lot (multi autos etc in box) and their autos seem to go real cheap on the secondary market.
Do u guys thinks that's what will happen with this set??

I think it is possible but there are more good autos in the trilogy with a few exceptions (figwit ect) and rittenhouse do sometimes just release autos of third alien on the right some times so i am not really that worried as LOTR has a big following

Wow, I may have to order another case (already ordered 1 thought that would be it though considering the details) of course I didn't anticipate to auto's per box and 1 costume!
I would guess that they had so few preorders that they ended up doing a much shorter run than they were anticipating??? Agree??
It's not like Topps said lets make more inserts per box to give better value. I just guess there was little preorder interest.

I think this just goes to show how low preorders have been!!! Ahh well, I was definitely hoping to get a couple of boxes even just for a base set and a chance at something interesting but I'll stick with just the two I think
From the list though, if the autos look good I might get the 2 Viggos (ahem) the Sala, and the Viggo costume and maybe the Frodo one gosh darnit I'd love all the costumes but the odds are high... well we'll see - if they have printed a tonne of retail boxes for Wall Mart and I am feeling flusher for money a couple of months after the set comes out I might pick up some guaranteed memo packs
(slightly dodgy ethical ground there though).
And I do like that Sala auto. I have to thank Topps for not making that one a hard one to get because it's long overdue and it will be one many of us like !!

Did you notice that we have Merry's Gondorian cloak as a cheapish one and then in the next set - the one to go with it is going to be the hardest to pull! We are like junkies given some stuff cheap

You could also say making Frodo in this set one of the easiest to pull is quite sadistic as well

Guys there has been a rush on trilogy since this news (ha - not very surprisingly!!!)
Cards Inc is almost sold out of Wholesale stock so if you are thinking about it - get on and order!
I am sure the same goes for other wholesalers too!!!
GO GO GO!

It's annoying how topps do this NOW! and not for TTT or ROTK the odds have been crap before, but this.. i can see this set being just as good as Harry Potter POA price wise that is. The boxes wont stay cheap will they? they can't do, not with such good inserts, buy one cases and your close to getting a master set right? sickening from Topps, they obviously liked the ratio's with artbox

According to Cards Inc not until Nov... around HP time. Perhaps a little later! (Blimey what a run up to Christmas that is going to be). But that could be slightly after you guys as they could be allowing time for the boxes to be shipped over here...

Too right... anyone looking for some spare cash to pay for Christmas should check in with their local friendly card dealer and ask if they need any base sets sorting

The odds on Faramir look daunting (1 in 320 packs) but it's no where near as daunting as PJ ROTK as the other autos (singly) are one in 247 packs... so it's a *little* rarer - but not frighteningly so! From chatting to my forum mates I think there's going to be enough spare autographs hanging around (you know who you are if you bought 6-10 cases ) so I don't think I'll need to use e(vil)bay at all...
