Erm... what do you mean?

Are you talking about the San Diego set as a whole?

Why would anyone sell it off in bits  Undecided

A few people have sold them separartely - UK trading Cards on ebay for one - but I didn't notice what they went for.

If you are not collecting pack pulled cards - personally I wouldn't have bothered with this set at all.

And unfortunately - that won't work with the next set - rumour has it that very small numbers of incentive cards will be available in packs

you miss under stude roz i am only collecting pack pulled cards and folders.

has i feel the cost of insentive cards and promos have gone out of control so have decided to boycote these this time round.

i tried to keep up with all the lotr rings ones to have a master set and in the end i felt it was less fun because i was buying cards i did not need or want to try and complete a master set.

It IS a nice folder actually - nicer than the original one.

But alas it's true - they have plans to put some of the MPC exclusive cards etc in packs this time around. So there will be 25 or 50 in packs and then the rest from MPC.

But nothing's set in stone yet - we shall have to see!

Roz, will the few MPC incentives in packs only be available in UK boxes, or will those of us who buy in the US have a chance at them, too?

And while I have you, in the POA update news thread, your info is that box prices will increase by £2 .  Again, is that just for the UK?

I should imagine it's worldwide.

I don't think they will go to *that* much effort with the UK boxes.

Although I do hope if they release a Philosophers Stone set that they will do a proper UK version labeled as the Philosophers Stone rather than the Sorcerers!!!

I asked because wasn't there a UK exclusive in packs -- the Harry 500 robe?

Ahh no, that was given away with each case, it was not inserted into packs.

I think it was just handed out with every case you bought, I don't think it was inside the case box or anything

What about the Harry 100 robe?  Sorry, I thought I had all of this straight, and now I'm confused.  Smiley  It's only going to get worse with all of the cards in the update set.

Yes, good point, it's best to get this all cleared up now, and I will be explaining all this in the website we are working on.

The Harry 100 and Ron 100 robes were available in boxes. But they were very rare. For some reason if you got a hot box these were the only 2 "pack pulled" cards that were not included.

(Or have I just gone and complicated things more?)

As far as I know, the Harry 100 and Ron 100 were not available in US boxes.  Soooo, is it possible that the MPC incentive could be available only in UK packs/boxes?

I'm getting two boxes from a US dealer, and now I'm wondering whether I should try to get a third box from a UK dealer.  Although, if the incentive is that rare, it probably doesn't make sense to buy one box.

The release is less than two months away.  It would be nice if Artbox could clear up some of the confusion!

No seriously - they were available in US boxes, I believe Gimli imported his from Potomac and got one Ron and one Harry... as far as I know he didn't buy boxes from UK dealers at all last time.

Trust me - it's very unusual for the UK to get a good deal on things like this.

But this is the home of Potter and so half the product came here... I think that's a good thing to mention when they are about to stamp lovely cards with "Sorcerer's Stone"... all the Ozzies and Brits on this forum will shudder as the silver leafing is placed on

Okay, so then the UK exclusive was the Harry 500 robe, and it was only given out with case purchases and was never available in a pack or box?

Mcgonagall, it's amazing that some enterprising card dealers wouldn't want to jump on the bandwagon and offer the update -- there is certainly some money to be made from it.

Yes I am sure there is.... set up as a new dealer Cheesy... but you'll have to wait til the next set as artbox are all sold out  Sad

I'll check with Gimli the source of his cases!

But I have scanned the NSU forum too and pulling Ron and Harry 100 cards seems to be internationally possible.

I think the problem is they are very very rare! I am not sure why - perhaps with them being a character card they had to give some to the actors and their agents - which makes them rarer  Undecided  Huh

Now I understand why some of the people at the NSU forum refuse to collect this set.  It really is nearly impossible to get a master set, unless you have the income to chase down the rare cards.  That doesn't make me like it any less, though!  I'll just have to carefully choose which cards I go after -- the Grim/Padfoot fur is definitely near the top of the list!

True - but it's really only the prop cards that are totally hideous! And a full auto master set or full clothing or full lenticular card mini master set is quite achieveable.

Yes it's a crazy set... but I love it Wink
