Hi

Has anyone followed the market of the promos very closely?

As far as I can see no one really states if their "packets" of promos are sealed or unslealed and so therefore (so far) there has been no real difference in prices observed on the market.

What would you prefer?

I received a set of red sealed promos and I haven't opened them yet - partly because I am expecting a full set of colours in the post and if I am in future going to sell my spare red set a new owner may prefer them sealed.

Obviously they are no good in a binder sealed up but it seems awful to open them... am I just being plain silly?

I say keep 'em sealed - just gives a notion of 'mintness' (Huh) to the owner, kinda like pulling a pack card I guess, you are the first person to have touched it. I think alot of people like that idea Smiley

Hope to see a scan of your promo set soon!

I loved the fact that I received mine sealed but once I had them I had to open them. They look great in the album and as I won't be selling them I pefer to see each card rather than just the top one.

Don't make me feel too guilty - but I don't really need more than one set of red promos - I don't need to keep a "sealed variant" - I'd rather sell them and buy the update red promos to match Smiley

So I have to keep them sealed til my full set arrives  :'( ?

OK

Yes Roz your being silly  Grin

It depends do you collect because you love them, or do you collect because you think they may be worth more later on down the road?

I like cards in binders so I open them, plus to look at them every once in awhile. Also I can never not open a pack of cards so the same goes with Promo packs and preview sets, too much anticipation I guess.

I think Harry Potter is going to be the end of you Roz...Two of everything just for back up, and there you are Hooked on Trading Cards just like me  Roll Eyes

Smiley Yes the end is nigh... I'll get my sanwich board this afternoon and parade around the streets of Cambridge wearing it!

If the second lot arrive all mint in the pack then I will be upset because it means I could have opened this set Wink

Ahh well for the moment I'll keep the spare sealed, and when they arrived I'll start looking out for an update set Wink

Keep the 1st set sealed.....until the others arrive and then open one and enjoy ('cause I knows you wants to) What you do with the other - I personally would keep them sealed and watch for the value to climb....and then sell if you want to. I sometimes keep sealed and opened versions of the same but not everything.
