Shipping Delays from The US To The UK Anyone?

Has anyone experienced any delays in things arriving from the US to the UK in the last month or so. One of the things I am waiting for is from Tom and you know how quick he is at sending things out. I am wondering if the recent postal strike has affected mail coming into the country and I am getting all other mail ok.

Does anyone know if mail sent out of the UK is ok as I have recently sent items off to the US and Australia and am wondering if I need to warn my buyers of the delays.

hi, not sure about sending items, but i receive packages from the UK. the last 2 ebay items i won, i sent a paypal payment on september 11th--to 2 different sellers. i received one item yesterday, but i am still waiting for the second item. hope this info is helpful

It seems to be its normal topsy turvey self, received 1 item within 5 days another took nearly a month both postmarked the same day both from the same city LOL oh both sent airmail

I sent something to France from the US at the beginning of August and it still has not arrived. I am starting to think it is a lost cause.

I live in the US and I ordered seomthing from Canada about a month ago and it took 5-6 weeks. I think when sending international it can anywhere from 2-8 weeks just depending on service.

CP - it seems very much to be related to pot luck. When I lived in Cambridge (the original, UK) Tom in New York could send a parcel on Friday and it would be with me by Monday...(!)

It always astonished me. If he sent it Thursday it could take over a week!

So I guess it just depends when the plane goes out. Certain days mean you catch the plane in good time.
