I mean, is a blue heart really worth paying about 4x extra ($1000) for an OB TT Legolas?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60244&item=6116329721&rd=1

Its a nice card, but the most I would be willing to pay would be $400 - and that is double what I paid for my non-variant one Undecided

Has anyone bought a variant card and do you think it was worth it? I know this will be very subjective Smiley

I don't have many variants. I know I didn't pay a premium for The ROTK Theoden in black ink  Grin I can't think of any others off the top of my head  Huh

I would happily pay a (reasonable) sum for a Prisoner Series 1 Blue p1 costume card if anyone has a spare. An unsigned FOTR Boromir would be nice, but I couldn't afford that @ present  :'( :'(

What I'd reeeeely like is a signed or unsigned Sir Ian McKellen Gandalf from (I think it was) the Two Towers. That would be brill  Shocked Shocked

I know it's not a variant, but I can dream... Tongue Tongue

To add to list
I have FOTR Galadriel in black ink, and also FOTR Saruman in black ink

From what I heard about the TTT Gandalf auto card IT WAS MADE.  And showed him as Gandalf the White.  Although Topps wanted the card signed as SIR Ian McKellen and on refusing this, obviously the card was not in packs.

I would like to get hold of this card and get Mr Mckellen to sign it, maybe with a quote, now trhat would be worth someting

Smiley yes it was made, you can get a good look at the design either on McKellen's website or on the Two Towers sell sheet.

On McKellen's site it shows him signing them and he has signed one "Wizard Wishes... Ian McKellen" but I wonder where all of those are....

Oh, didn't I tell you? Sir Ian was throowing them out to the audience during his stage show while he was here in Oz. My little sister got a few  - I think she's glued them in her scrapbook Wink I managed to get a couple and they are sitting here next to my FOTR Merry, Legolas and ROTK PJ as we speak Grin

FTY:

Are you kidding?  Sir Ian threw out the Topps Gandalf TT cards to the audience!  Do you have any extras?

Sorry to get your hopes up Ed! I was only joking! If my little sister did that to them, I would do what the orcs were doing to Gollum when they were trying to get the info out of him about the Ring! Grin Grin Grin
