I really want the collector's edition, but don't think I can put out $100 for a book right now..... Sad

The hard copy (standard edition) is now under $8 though!

Absolutely STUNNING!!!!
Just pre-ordered my Collectors Edition!. My very kind brother has said he will get it for me for Christmas!.
Just got to allow myself a dance!. I've got feet of fire! Grin

I will probably get the standard edition as well to read as i will probably display the Collectors Edition on my bookshelf just to look at every now and again.

Just peeked in Trelawney's scrying crystal and saw myself the happy recipient of both copies of Beedle the Bard ... better start dropping hints (ie. like lead bricks) that I'd like Santa to bring these for me pretty please!  Wink Grin

yep I'm with you Stoney.....got to get both...actually make that 3 ........got to get the American edition too.  At least you have yours on a book shelf...I'm so sad I will pack them away in a box out of sunlight and just get them out every 6 months for 5 minutes at a time. They will join my Deluxe editions of the Harry Potter books and the leather bound LOTR deluxe editions ....locked away in my cupboard.....out of sight but NOT out of mind Wink

You are talking about your books and not you aren't you mugglemum! ROFL!
So you are going for all three!. I do like the US cover but there is something about the design of the cover of the UK edition that sort of makes it look like it's been around for generations and adds to the idea that these stories have been told to witches and wizards for centuries.

It is a shame that you have lock all this stuff away. I'm pretty lucky in the fact that all my HP stuff is in my bedroom which doesn't get the sun streaming in all day and i also have my blind shut all the time which enables me to display all my stuff without the worry of everything fading.
Because of the the colour of my blind too, it is never dark at all and when the sun does shine my room is bathed in a fantastic golden glow!.

Hi Stoney Grin How are you?

Yes the books not me! ROFL!

To be honest I am not as struck on the U.S edition as it is too coulourful but it's only a few dollars so will add it to the collection. I think I told you before I am a book addict........I can't help myself.......I need help  Wink ROFL!

I think I should get a blind like yours...sounds great. It's a shame I have to keep them locked away but some are valuable and I would hate them to be damaged and get dusty. I am only this anal about books I promise Embarrassed
