for the sake of everyone else on the forum I hope not. I hope everyone can keep pulling Hermione autos!

I will e-mail Artbox, and I will definetly mention it to them when I am at Comic Con since I have a pretty good relationship with them.

They have ALWAYS made up for anything missing in my cases. I just hate to have to go back to them with every release for the last two years. Even with all the repeats and missing prop card though I would still say that I rate them much higher that some of the other companies and their recent releases.

I read your case break on the other thread Bryan - even allowing for the fact that Artbox won't guarantee the case pulls, the collation in your case was rubbish and I'm just very relieved that I decided not to buy any boxes or cases from this set.
Definitely get in touch with Artbox, because how can they correct this for future sets if they don't know about it?

If someone has the P7 Books from Professor Lockhart's Class, could you please let me know which movie is listed on the back?  It should be Chamber of Secrets, but an eBay seller's auction description states it's from Prisoner of Azkaban.

If someone has the P7 Books from Professor Lockhart's Class, could you please let me know which movie is listed on the back?  It should be Chamber of Secrets, but an eBay seller's auction description states it's from Prisoner of Azkaban.

I didn't say anything about it by PM because you had it right, indeed COS. (And Lockhart would have had real trouble escaping St. Mungo's to give guest lectures, by the time of POA!)

I like the two different C1 cards.  If you're going to get a duplicate, at least it's another color!   The Hedwig's cage swatch looks like it's made of wood.

Just got my case this afternoon, and got a Hermione auto, YESS!!! 

Obviously that's the most important feature.    Quick question though, what other autos and other high chase did you find that you didn't scan?

My psychic powers say that your other autos were Colin, Dean, Photographer, and Zacharias, and you also found a P10 bedsheet prop.

Hey Jeff, wanted to thank you on your congrats to my Harry pull in the last thread. I am thrilled! I still need a Ron auto to get a complete set of the three though. I traded my last Harry pull for a Hermione PoA auto at a card show.

Where on Hedwig's cage would there have been wood?  Any ideas?

You are correct!  Those were the other 4 autos in the case, and I did get a hospital sheets prop as well

As for the Hedwig cage: I'm guessing the the wooden swatches are from the bottom part of the cage....with the possibility of owl, er, droppings. 

Think I'll take the metal bars version with the possibility of owl spit.

I agree with Bitsy, it's probably from the cage bottom. Jennifer's wood swatch also had one of the holes drilled through it, and Rich had an auction where he concluded (and I agree) that the hole is where a cage bar was inserted.

I'm about to become the proud possessor of my own first Harry auto, from OOTP. Timing was just right for me to use my 10%-discount coupon from eBay/Paypal.  Earlier I scored an auction for Ron from POAU, so except for a few 'common' autos from 3-D Series 2, I have one from everybody except Hermione and McGonagall.

I really hate these case clusters. In a way, it takes a lot of the fun and excitement out of it.

I've got mixed feelings about whether I should be taking a big role in pointing them out. But then again, some of them are pretty obvious to everybody. The good news is that they aren't as common as the first time they showed up. Memorable Moments was all clustered, with only 7 case types observed, and 6 of them were reported by two or more people. So far with 3D-2, we've seen 15 case types, and only 4 have been exact clusters. Still, those 4 account for almost half (10) of the 21 case reports.

My biggest worry is that the clusters might make it easier for case buyers to open boxes until they find a key card, and then sell off the others when they know that there isn't any particularly rare card left. Sure, you can find one of the big-three autos and rest assured you won't find another one. But you could also find an early pattern in the props and costumes and know that you won't find a big card later.

Probably these things happen all the time, with all manufacturers. Harry Potter fans tend to pay attention, and we used to have this 'challenge' to figure out how rare the rarest autographs might be, and how the middle range should be valued. That might become a useful companion to the Price Guide. If I'm in the aftermarket, I know that a Hermione costume card is going to sell for more than others with the same numbers, and ditto for one-time autograph signers. But it's also good to know (if true) that Emma signed fewer cards for OOTP than Daniel and Rupert did. I may never complete a master set for any series because I don't think any card is worth $300+ (unless I'm selling it). So I wonder if I should stop bothering to bid on my first Emma.

You should definitely keep bidding on Emma autos.   You know as well as anyone how strange bidding can be on eBay, and sometimes there's a surprising turn of events for a particular auction.

Yes, I wouldn't stop trying to bid on a Hermione/Emma auto. You just never know.
