Exactly. I only ship to confirmed addresses and verified status Paypal accounts just to qualify for the protection (if you can call it that). |

What will you do if you get a buyer from shall we say Finland who says they want to use paypal but of course Finnish buyers are not confirmed? Now I sugest that you have a read of the new ruling prior to answering this LOL and have a read of the community forums over on Evilbay  |

eBay makes an interesting argument: eBay has written to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) asking for immunity from legal action under the Trade Practices Act, arguing that the public benefits of the move - increased transaction security - would outweigh any detriment to the public that might be caused by a lessening of competition in the online payments market.This is a stretch.  |

Thus far (fingers crossed), I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I'll take another peek at the "new  policies". |

According to the article:
The auction site's global chief executive, John Donahoe, has said the PayPal policy will be rolled out in other countries if it is successful here.
Let's hope that the Australian Competition and Commerce Commission and the Central Bank can prevent eBay from implementing the new policy, for all of eBay's users.

As of today (3rd July) ebay Australia has officially withdrawn its notification to force Paypal on us; all existing payment methods will remain, however it will still be compulsory to offer Paypal as a payment method.
Glad to see common sense finally won out!
