Hey folks - I have an opportunity to perhaps purchase a full run of auto cards from the GOF set (all 14 autos).  The seller has asked me to research and come up with an offer price.  If I base upon the shack's price guide, I come up with about $1,190-ish.  I couldn't really use eBay cause many of the cards aren't available or have not recently sold.

I'm wondering if a full set is worth more than buying the autos individually?  what offer price is fair?

Thanks in advance for your comments and help  Cheesy

I'd buy it, and if I'm honest, I'd pay more than the Price Guide's going rate. You could wait at least a year for all the autos to pop up individually and you'd end up paying lots in postage, maybe getting burned on a card or two... just go ahead if it's someone you trust and make them a decent offer.

Thanks Roz, you have great intuition.  I was wavering a little but finally bit the bullet & did buy from him.  Kind of came to the same conclusion as you that it would be either painstakingly long and/or difficult to find all of the autos.

I've seen a few up recently but nothing really close to a set.  The seller lives locally to me so we were able to meet and exchange (and I think I got a really good price too).  Appreciate your help as always  Grin
