Do you have a scan of the envelope you were working from? We might be able to decipher it

Hi,
Your replica is very good, I can't decipher the second word too, sorry. Yes, I would love to know if you have made new prophets Marcuss.

I am wondering if the 2nd word is maybe not a word but just a series of letters? Maybe thats why in all the close up shots it is blurred. Here is a screen shot but I can't make the word out at all. After asking a few people which word they thought was best to use I went with Per Pennarum = By Feathers. This can be changed if anyone comes up with anything better Hows the website doing Tymex?

Hi everybody, I also tried to make Harrys ministry letter but couldn't find out the words for "per ...." @ Mugglemum: Very creative you Per Pennarum how did you made the wax seal? its great! and the color, I like it really How about that: Per Strigens, the plural for owls No sorry folks I haven't made new prophets. Due to the lack of good ideas and time to do it. If you have some ideas post them here. But I made this: http://www.hooverae.com/upload/files/060608/6684369.gifEnjoy Marcuss

Here's a slightly larger shot of the envelope. I think the last letter is an M. I checked with an online Latin dictionary and found another possibility: Per Aligerum. Loosely translated, it means having wings. Maybe if someone on the forum has the Blue Ray or HD version and a large TV, he or she could watch that part of the movie and see if it shows up better.

This prop has taken ages to do...only because of that one word I have so many other words I can use but I know none are the correct one. Whatever the word is it doesn't seem to have that many letters. I think whoever made the prop was using the 'par Avion' = by aeroplane, post mark as inspiration. So I have latin translations for Owls, Birds, wings, feathers. Then thought maybe it was 'by magic' but did not get anywhere with that . The more I look at the more I am convinced it isn't a real word!! Thanks Marcuss. The seal is made of clay, not wax. I tried every which way to get the right colour by mixing wax but could not do it. So I used clay and then painted it. It is actually better then wax as wax can dry out and become brittle. The clay will not. The letter with it is not seen in the film but thought it would be fun to include it

I might have been inspired to "Per Avian" for owl mail, but that's not what they did.

Hi, Yes everything is ok with my website, I'll add your Progress Report next week, because I didn't get the time. The Polyjuice Potion page is very beautiful, I tried to contact Juno but she didn't answer me. I already have the Train ticket from her, it is splendid. Marcuss, your Polyjuice Potion page is very good, but I think the picture of the monster, and some fonts are incorrect, you could try to adjust it. You can find the tutorial to aged the paper, go to : http://www.curiousgood.com/aged.htm

Yes I know the fonts are off, but the font collection is a bit expensive for me. But I am happy with the result even if the preview pic is very blurry. I also own a ticket from juno and it is amazing.

Hi Lemon - or do you have another name that we can call you by? Welcome to the Yak Shack and thanks SO much for posting that link of Luna - those specs are WILD!!! Could you imagine walking down the street wearing those .... Are you a prop-maker too? We're still waiting for diagonhp to post their props on here and if you have any you would like to share with us, then we'd love to see them please. I'll just repeat part of an earlier post and say that watermarking scans of your props to post on here (or anywhere else for that matter) is a very good idea - it helps to discourage the dishonest people who trawl the Web from lifting your artwork and passing it off as their own ... we do get a large number of guests pass through this forum whom we know nothing about about, so it's best to be cautious. *infommercial over* The pic Lemon has posted is from one of the well-known Harry Potter websites: http://www.hpana.com
