Monday before last I won a box of HP OOTP Hobby from empire_sportscards, and on Thursday payed for it over paypal. He had written and said if it was paid by Friday afternoon, he would send it out Friday, if not, expect a long wait as he was going on vacation. I thought, cool, he's sending it out on Friday as I paid the morning of the day before, and with Priority Mail, it should be here on Monday! Sweet. Well, Monday rolled around. Now it is 6pm on Thursday, nothing in the post today and after three very polite and kind messages his way, nothing in the way of a repsonse from empire_sportscards. Should I just wait and hope he eventually gets back, or leave negative feedback and risk never getting my box (or my money back in the other event)?

Its possible the money didnt go through on his end on Friday...and if he is away on vacation then that would be why you are not getting a response to your emails. I would wait it out...

I thought of that (the money bit) before I paid, so I did a direct deposit from my account, and it shows it was received/confirmed as being received by him by Thursday afternoon.  Undecided

I would wait it out too.  Maybe something came up and he couldn't get it out before he went away.  I would give it until next week.  Keep an eye on his feedback to see if he leaves it for anyone else.  If so, you will know he is avoiding your emails.

Beware of banks saying payments have been deposited. I wrote a cheque for my mum and the money was out of my account the next day, but she had to wait 5 working days before she got it. This is the bank playing/investing with money that isn't theirs to make a profit that is  Roll Eyes

M'eh, 'cept I checked it with the bank, paypal, all that stuff, and they all have their "stories straight". Plus, he just left another buyer feedback today, and four people have left him feedback fof OotP boxes...that they received LAST WEEK.  Hopping Mad So what now?

I know someone who bought two OOTP boxes from the seller a couple of days before you.  She was told today that her boxes were mailed Wednesday, July 11.  Hopefully, yours were shipped then, too.

I've just looked at the feedback he has left for others and the same comment has been made on each transaction. Perhaps he has used the Ebay! Automated Positive Feedback for Buyers system

Naw, then everyone who still needs feedback from him would have gotten it. But I found out what happened. Finally tracked down a #, got a hold of him, and got a UPS tracking number out of him, very grudgingly on his part, from the sound of things. From what I found out with the tracking number, I can see why he might have been somewhat embarassed to write me back; despite putting my address twice, in bold caps, in both the "hey I won, cool, will pay by paypal" email and the paypal payment itself, this mental giant forgot to put my Apartment # on the address label, which means that if I want my box before the week is already half-way done, I am going to have to drive 30 miles up north to go pick it up, and 30 miles back down here. Argh  Hopping Mad Stupid people are annoying. And so are walrus's, now that I think about it.

Why can't you call UPS with the tracking number, explain the problem with your apartment number, and ask them to redeliver?  They probably will.

I did. They said they could send the new info through, but that it wouldn't get on a truck until Wednesday, so I either go up there tomorrow or wait until Wednesday. Oh well, one could always use a decent drive on a beautiful day (I hope the day is a sunny one, anyway).
