I am right that it is a snake?

I've really looked at that swatch, and I think it's a man.  I see long hair, eyes, nose, mouth, and beard.  There are two arms and something at the waist of the robe (hands or belt).  There's a shadow over the man's left shoulder.  But, that's just my opinion! Wink

Oh, hahaha, I see him now.  ROFL! Yes, its supposed to be a man. I actually like it better as a man. But does anyone see the snake Im talking about? The man's forhead is the eye, his beard is the open mouth, the left side of his hair is the nostrils. Picture all the unprinted sections of his face being the surrounding mouth and head, with the top of his hair (black) the top of the snakes head. The mans shadow is the "hood" I was speaking of and the white outline of the man's arms is the outline of the hood, spreading outward. See it? See it?

The Daily Prophet swatch shows part of the map of the UK (just thought you'd be interested!  Grin) and a GREAT number too - definitely excellent birthday pressies for your Mum Bitsy!! Grin Grin
Please wish her a very 'Happy Birthday' from me won't you?  Grin

Love the Ministry Munchies swatch too - shame we didn't see more of the actual items themselves in the film! Roll Eyes

Bitsy, your mom had incredible luck!  I really love the Daily Prophet, and Jules, thanks for telling us it's part of a map of the UK!  I'd love to know what the significance is of the numbers and symbols. Smiley

Pleasure!!
The rounded part of the map is East Anglia (low lying ground ... the Norfolk Broads ... The Fens) - it looks like an open mouth doesn't it LOL, well anyway to the right of where the 'th' symbol is, is roughly where London is situated.  Wink
My guess is the symbols show where certain magical either places or powers are .. perhaps to do with alchemy, thaumaturgy or maybe ley lines or even tarot?
Heh sounds like I actually know what I'm talking about!!  Roll Eyes ROFL! ROFL! ROFL!

Jon - I think the chances of you getting your hands on that Prophet will be slim to non-existant ...

Sounds good to me! Cheesy  I wish Artbox had pictures of the props and costumes before they were cut up, like Inkworks does on its site.  I think it's a lot of fun trying to find out where a particular swatch came from.

Yep, Jon, I think you're going to be out of luck for this one.

Thank you guys so much--I will let my Mom know everything.  Smiley

WOW, Jules, thank you so much! It has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what the swatch was depicting and what the symbols/numbers meant. I am stunned it is of a map of the UK!  Shocked Shocked How incredible! My Mom will be absolutely ecstatic.

Jon--thank you for your kind words. I will certainly pass your message along to my Mom, but I am pretty sure she will want to keep this one.  Wink
If there is anything you would like me to tell her, you can PM me and I will let her know. I can't speak for her, so I will take any offer you have to her.  Smiley
