It's Official Parcel Force SUCK!!

Well, 11 days after it was sent my parcel finally turns up! Only to be hit with a customs charge! So I ring the fantastic people at Parcel Force Newcastle and pay my £29 customs charge as well as £12 for Saturday delivery!

The guy on the phone say "It will be on the van and be with you tomorrow between 8am and 1pm" so today some and 1pm passes! Nothing. Parcel Force closes as 1pm as well (Isn't that a good time to close?!?!)
So i'm left another £12 out of pocket and no package til Monday (Even though I paid for Saturday delivery)

The parcel has been in the depot since 2am Saturday morning giving them 6 hours to get it on the van!

Yeah you aren't paying that £12. You will have to kick up a bit of a fuss, but there's no way I'd pay it!

Now, I have to say, DON'T take it out on the parcelforce guy, mention it nicely if you are there when he drops it off and ask him what he'd do. My parcelforce guy is so nice to me now that I get Saturday delivery all the time he just sees parcels for me and brings them along

I wouldn't waste my breath with my delivery guy! He'd probably give me a smack if I complained to him! He is soo moody!

I'll give them a ring on Monday morning!
I don't normally pay for Saturday but I got soo sick of waiting! LOL

Well you wouldn't be much better off with Royal Mail  .  Boggy had a box of cards delivered yesterday that incurred a customs charge.  Well when I say delivered that is misleading as we had to collect it ourselves.  The VAT charge was £7.30 - annoying but that's the chance you take.  But the Royal Mail charge is now £8 !!!!!  And for what.  We had to go and get the cards so they charged us £8 for collecting £7.30.  If the VAT customs charge had been 50p they would have charged £8!!!!!  This is just getting plain stupid now 

Martyn if I were you I would try and get the £12 back, it will be outrageous if you can't

I agree i had major problems with Parcel force last year and now have everything shipped via UPS works out about £5 more per case in my usual orders of 5+ cases at one time. Plus i normally get the package within 4 working days which is excellent.
