How long before eBay's "PayPal Only"?

It got me thinking when eBay's daily announcement had this little bit about selling iPhones:

    * Criteria for Apple iPhone Post-Launch Sales. In order to continue to ensure protection for our Community after these items are made available by the manufacturer, the following requirements have been put in place for the sale of the iPhone:

          o The listing must include a unique photograph of the item or items
          o Your User ID must be clearly displayed within the photograph (watermarks will not be accepted).
          o To ensure buyer protection, PayPal must be the only accepted form of payment

Won't be long before with see this on every item, "to ensure byer protection."  Remember eBay only has our best interests in mind.

Yeah... I've not had much access to the net lately but I see that google's payment system is up and running. Have ebay had a "reaction" to that yet?

Well its already starting,they are now ensuring our protection on all gaming consoles as well. They simply make more money when they can fleece you with paypal as well as normal fees.

If they make it a requirement then Paypal fees should be waved It smells of "restriction-of-trade" to me. Is that legal?

Sounds like a class-action suit in the making, if you ask me.  PayPal competitors can claim restriction of trade and sellers can sue about being forced to pay PayPal fees.
