I've always heard good things said about Sean ... about how approachable he is and what a great bloke he is to talk to ... I look forward to seeing the pics when you've had chance to get them uploaded!

He was so terrific!  Ok, here's the whole story-
The line wait wasn't so bad, because we went there after Jamie Bamber and Mary McDonnall.  So when I got up to have him sign I just blurted out that I had a crush on him ever since Goonies, and I asked him to write POTATO!, because my favorite scenes are the ones with Sam and Gollum interaction.  So he laughed and asked me how to spell potato because he didn't want to mispell it like Dan Quayle!  So I figured that would kind of be it and I got ready to shake his hand and move on, but then he said that there was a funny story behind the picture I brought, so I asked him what it was.  He said it looks like it's at some really picturesque spot, but they were really standing in a parking lot!  There were trailers all around and they told him and Elija Woods to stand near the back of the lot and just took some photos from there.  I said that it's such a beautiful country that I guess you can't miss no matter where you stand!  So then I told him that I thought his mom was an amazing person, but he probably had people tell him that all the time.  He said he did, but it's true all the same and so we talked for a little about that.  I almost felt a bit guilty taking up so much time with so many other people waiting, but not really!    Ahhh....I met Sean Astin!  I'm totally starstruck!

Don't feel guilty abut taking up all that time with him either - bet he was pleased to have a proper conversation with a long-time fan rather than just say 'Hi' and shake hands with them and move onto the next signing. 
How weird about the photo too - that means you just HAVE to post it now so we can see what he means!!

I agree Sean is one of the coolest guys to meet!!! We met him last year at ORC and he was so friendly, he put sydney right up on his lap for the picture and even took out his wallet and showed her some pictures of his little ones, which she loved.  Elijah and Billy were awesome as well, and surprisingly John Noble was one of the coolest guys as well, Miranda Otto was the only one that was a little more "stand-offish"  Anyways, thats cool, I know the "starstruck" feeling, as I was on cloud nine for weeks after, and still am a little as I have all the pics framed and on the wall in front of me right now

I remember that pic Zach from when you posted it before - good to know that Sean hasn't changed much (being a regular nice bloke I mean) from when you met him last year!
