I have always been just a little lost on this subject as maybe you have too
The big question today is what is and what would it consist of to be a true Master set?Huh??
All the different coloured foil promos to each release?Huh?
How about sell sheets HuhHuh? is that part of a Master set or not really Huh?
And here is the loaded question that I'm sure I will get more different answers than one
If it's every card in the released set would it also include all incentive cards..and if it does, then how many true master sets are there of Huh??
I saw some people claiming a Master Set of GOF Update with only one wand incentive, Is That a Master Set Huh??

Goblet of Fire (64) & Update (28)Huh?
POA (30) & Update (small count autos)Huh??
Sorcerers (40) Huh?
Memorable Moments (31) Huh?.......can there be really only 31 true Masters
Chamber of Sercrets (64) Huh

IMOP a master set would include the different coloured promo set's, and sell sheet, and what about including an empty box or sealed pack?? or a sealed box?? lets not take it too far as to include a case Undecided

no, i recall the sell sheet and box, it should just include released cards, including tin cards? yes i think so. and incentive cards.

so with GOFU to be a master set i think it would need to include all 4 wand cards. (oh well 3 more to go).

don't like to say it but only 31 mm sets as i don't think i will ever get the trophy card - just waiting on demnetors case card and watson auto on this set.

lol, I don't keep a sealed case, but I'm keeping a sealed box of every release. I don't really know why... more clutter I suppose ROFL! I don't think it makes my set complete, but adds a little mystery.

And yup, I think ideally you want one of each GOFU wand card Grin

For a master set I also like to have the unredeemed redemption card as well as the actual auto card as well as any foreign language cards (don't get me started on LOTR or X-Files here). As well as the sell sheets the binders are a must and I like to have one of each of the packets which also fit nicely into the binder.

Yes yes, that's true, although I drew the line at an unredeemed Quad card Roll Eyes (I'd rather have one black Ced variant and one yellow red variant than an unredeemed card).

I think that in just these few posts we have already highlighted how many "optional extras" there are in addition to the pack-pulled basics, I daresay a Master Set is whatever it means to you... it is whatever stage you sit back, sigh and feel your collection is complete Smiley

I too like to keep redemption's but like Roz you just can't keep them all.  I did cheat a bit though  Roll Eyes.  For my quad and Ron auto I scanned the cards, back and front, before redeeming them.  The plan is that I get a really lovely print and stick it in my binder.  Not quite the same but it will do me  Grin

I just don't understand why Artbox refuses to return the used redemption.  All they need is a hole punch ($1.97 at Wal-Mart) to put one or two holes in the middle of the card and then the card can't be redeemed a second time.  You have a good idea, Sharon! Smiley

A master set I would consider having each individual card from the set not including variants but including every different incentive.

You are right on the hole punch Inkworks have been doing that for years.
