For those of you not in the UK, where I live just north of London has just finished probably the biggest thunder storm I've ever seen. I can honestly say, I've never seen so much rain for such a long period.....4 hours !

Anyway, I was a bit nervous of my PC connection to work getting screwed up so I logged off for a while & tried to decide what to do. In the end, I decided to give my new home cinema system a good try-out. I mean....GOOD  

And what did I watch ?

Battle of Helms Deep, of course.  At volume level 40 (out of 60).  

I couldn't tell the difference between the real storm bashing against the windows, or the one on the DVD. Fortunately, neither could the neighbours LOL

Highly recommended, next time you find yourself stuck inside on a thunderstorm.

Now it's time to clear up !

ya there were treeible thunder storms over here aswell but sadly we had no power to watch an DVDs :'( but at least it was only out for an hour.

Hmmm p'raps I was snoozin or something... Mind you I have been working with the thunderous roar of a flume of water these past couple of days ...

I will try that, well actually it would be tough considering it hasn't been below 85 degree F since Feb or so.  Oh California weather is so tough

LOL we've had a spell of hot weather here, and that was a much needed thunderstorm to freshen the air up again... YAY - so I am back to wondering what are the least weighty, most cool items of clothing in my wardrobe

We also had a severe weather here in New Hampshire yesterday with what the National Weather Service calls Killer Lightning - (like there was any other kind!), winds in excess of 65 miles per hours, damaging hail, and heavy downpours of over an inch of rain per hour.  We normally get hot weather in the summer but this year it has been very pleasant with way over average rainfall to the point that people's yards are lush green when normally they would be browned out by lack of rainfall by now.

That sounds like one cool home theater sound system you have there CJD!!
