Well, as you may know (or may not know...but you will now  ), Colorado was slammed with a major snow storm yesterday!! And I have to be honest...I LOVE IT!!! It has been quite a while since we've had a storm like this (and I'm talking mainly the plains...not mountains)!!! I've grown up here and it seems that the winters are getting milder each year!  So this storm was very welcomed here in our home!! I went out and took a few shots for you all to see. It's difficult to tell the depths of the snow, but all around, I would guess about a foot and a half...much more where there are drifts!!  I tell ya...my boys are in heaven!!!!  This is a two door igloo the boys made!   This is a drift in front of the shop  Another view in front of the shop   And here is one more fellow that is happy...our Siberian...Tucker!!!  |

Colorado was slammed with a major snow storm yesterday!! Blimey, you weren't joking! That's quite some snowfall for somewhere which doesn't usually see much snow! (yes yes, I understand continentality but it still always astonishes me, what with being an island dweller 'n all ) And I have to be honest...I LOVE IT!!! Too blimmin right - to people like us who hardly have snow, it's fab (watch Cindy and Ed yawn as they both probably have snow-blindness by now I've grown up here and it seems that the winters are getting milder each year! So this storm was very welcomed here in our home!! Have you made snow angels yet? By lying in the snow and moving your arms and legs around? I went out and took a few shots for you all to see. It's difficult to tell the depths of the snow, but all around, I would guess about a foot and a half Yeah it really looks deeeeeep!

You guys kill me... why did you need two entrances? I also like the covering... to keep out the wind perchance? Well, it's awesome. And here is one more fellow that is happy...our Siberian...Tucker!!! Ha ha, he looks most at home. Enjoy it - you don't know how long you'll have it. Pretty much the whole of Britain is shrouded in mist, many planes have been grounded because it's too dangerous to take off... this means lots of people might not get home to their loved ones this Christmas, so spare them a thought |

There are whispers of snow here in Aus (yep, and its summer) on christmas day...but only in the alpine regions (ie up high)...and thats where im going!

That's great I'm so jealous! it's never snowed here but hopefully someday it will  . I love snow , even if i've never actually seen it in real life. |

We've had only a couple of inches so far this season and no snow in the long-range forecast. It's been an unseasonably warm month, but we usually get lots of snow in January and February. My kids can't wait for a big storm. We live on top of a hill, so the sledding is good!  Great pictures, Jackie! |

In Coloroado the housing code probably requires two ingresses and egresses for igloos. Tucker looks right at home. With four boys, she probably needs at least two doors! HA!! Who knows why they did this!! I don't know the reasoning of most of the things they do!  And yes, Tucker is loving this!!! The kids hook him up to a sled and he pulls them all over!! Tomorrow, we'll get the dirtbikes out give the boys sled rides that way too! THATS a blast!!! |

Yes, it's quite something! It looks very flat there Jackie, try sledging on some hills, I loved that as a kid running up hills and sledging down them. |

Although, I must admit, it keeps me pretty warm on these cold days!! It looks very flat there Jackie, try sledging on some hills, I loved that as a kid running up hills and sledging down them.

That looks great fun the nearest I have come to snow was on a visit to Munich and Saltzberg last year and boy did it snow decided to visit a market in the English Gardens but got off at the wrong stop and into a blizzard decided to walk the gardens anyway LOL and met with a very odd sight 2 young ladies from the local music collage stood in a snow storm singing carols  Mrs Orc and I resembled snowmen & we were moving, if it had not been for the singing we might have thought that they were just snow drifts Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda De Orc |

We went to a collectables at the bigging of the year with my dad, and the weather was fine until we got deep into kent and then the snow got pretty bad. It was so bad they let us park in the show ground instead of the car park. We got out of the car and it was just white. Mum rang up and I couldn't tell her just how bad it was or we'd have some more cats It was so bad you couldn't see where you were going we just followed everyone else I even had snow on my eyelashes. |

The storm that gave Jackie snow has moved into New England and instead of the white stuff, we are having monsoon rainfall!! All of the snow that we did have has melted over the last two weeks due to very warm unseasonable temps and now this! I don't think a White Christmas is in store for New Hampshire this year!  Enjoy it while you have it Jackie!! I will be digging out soon enough so I am enjoying the snow free roads while I can!!  |
