Well, I know we've all been chatting about this on and off, but never on this forum - have a look here

www.aaaevents.co.uk

It looks good - I've heard there will be exclusive Cards Inc/Collectorzone items (only available at the show), and even Topps cards (Roz's jaw drops - then prays please let it be trilogy p2) but I have a feeling it's more likely to be the UK distribution of P1 and P3 or perhaps they will give out photocopies of the sell sheet  Tongue who knows!!! But if I go I shall be sure to quiz/probe/bully/torture any topps ppl for info on the Trilogy set (although we are rather spoiled for info at the moment!!!)

Have you had a look?

what do you think?

Hmmm, I'd offer folks but even if I go I am not sure I'll get into the autograph area.

It's £20 to go into the base show

A further £40-60 to go into the theatre....and from there you pay another £30 to meet the stars - on the plus side you can get up to 3 autos for that. It's something I should have been saving up for for a long time.

I think I'll get a ticket to go into the base area to see the topps and cards inc stand but thereon in is where I'll have to back out

I believe that they are trying for Bernard Hill at Collectormania Smiley

I don't want to take your money  :'( not from either of you!

But I do agree Mark could easily go as "Ed" to the signee area - let me see - there's Ed in Wales, there's Ed in New Hampshire and there's Ed in Loiusiana.... all after Bernard Hill sigs - I presume he's high up your list... or maybe he's just high up mine  Tongue

Now - anyone else called Rosalind want an auto Tongue ??

(let me explain you pay to see the guests and then you can get up to 3 autographs... so although we have to pay to get into the autos area assuming 3 people want autographs they shouldn't be expensive - £10 each (well Bernard Hill is £30 for 3, Craig Parker is £40 for 3, but I think the next one on my list would be John Howe

Should we take him a pic of these forums with a blank background (i.e. where all the blue and white lines are) and ask him to Tolkienise it for us.)

LOL we wish!

Stop dreaming folks but thanks for the support Smiley

I had already planned to go into the "outer layer" i.e. the shops. I will have to hope someone on this forum - Ed in Wales? Ben? Anyone else who's phone number I have? - is online and can post what the Fellowship festival exclusive items are... and see if anyone wants me to pick them up one...

LOL - folks there's no need to dig in those pockets, I think I've found an entry solution!

Let's just say the Roz and Mark FF fund is very grateful to Mr X of a large company

(yes this is the X Files!)

ooh good, if the man isn't up for signings it will be all the easier to kidnap him and get him to redesign the forum  Wink

And we thought you cared Tongue

Anyway, I think we should beg/borrow/steal a digital camera from somewhere so we can get pics up on the forum as soon as we get back. I have a great 35mm camera but I think I can borrow my Dad's digital camera (if I have any trouble with persuading him I'll get you all to email him asking) so that should be good.

What I will need is someone who's

1) In the UK on the 28th August
2) Can be by their computer
3) Has an MMS capable phone (preferably on the 3 network or Orange... I can manage either as I am not sure of cross network compatibility).
4) Can link their phone to their PC to then put the pictures on the web
(I can provide info on picture hosting).

So basically what I asking if someone could receive photos of the "Fellowship Festival" exclusive items, post them on the forum so that people can email/PM them and say that they want one. Then this person will have to text me back with numbers to get

(let's hope that they aren't Exlusive WETA collectibles because my credit card wouldn't take it!!!).

Anyone going to volunteer?

Thanks

Nice effort getting in! Does that mean you will have access to the autograph sessions as well?

Ah... Craig Parker *fangirl squeal*

Right folks, I have no idea how I missed this info when it came out 3 days ago

Cards Inc

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase products exclusively designed for the event. There are two lithographic art prints entitled 'The Shire' and 'The Grey Havens' available to buy during the event, both of which have been produced in a limited edition of only 250 of each. Also available will be two exclusive edition collector plates 'Gandalf the Grey' and 'Smeagol'. Both plates form part of the character plate series and are a must for those fans who wish to complete their collection. These products will only be available to purchase at The Fellowship Festival

So - I hope Goofy that this is enough to get you out of today's depression and make you shriek wih excitement.... or at least smile??

Maybe Goofy is depressed because there is a Blue Moon tonight!  Just kidding.  For those who do not know, a Blue Moon is a saying here in the States when a full moon happens twice in one month.  We had that happen in July and it is not very common.

Roz your news should make Goofy jump for joy!   Smiley
