He probably got an offer to sell privately that he just couldn't refuse is my guess...say oh maybe in the $600 to $800 range.....remember there has been 2 already sold with BIN's with some sort of or pieces of letter writing on it at $499.99 no probs.... and they were just partial letters on the swatches not even full words...Mo

That's what I thought  Sad.  The thing that is getting me is that I had intended to try and get this as my one huge treat for the year (work Christmas box, raiding down the back of the settee etc).  I never think to contact the seller to put in an offer, I just assume they would have put it up as a BIN if they had wanted to do that.  Well I have learnt my lesson, next time I will get in quick.  So if anyone sees one with lots of writing please yell at me loudly  Smiley

I'm sorry Sharon  Sad  I know what you mean...I've been closed out just like that before as well, usually a day or two before the auction closes.  Undecided I hope you can get another card you really want for Christmas.  Praying

Sharpn: that swatch wasnt too spectacular, i'm sure a nicer one will pop out somewhere. Think this ci3 will go up or down in value? a blank one sold for 300 dollars, makes me wonder....

Can't really judge a card just because it sold at $100 or $600.......You always have to look at the print count/and how it was distributed (pack pull/or incentive).....last but certainly not least swatch presentation...that blank one was a very good deal at $300 for just a 50 produced count, and not really available to the general public...the only problem that HP collectors have is that they really want all of them but have to own 3 jobs to get them all because some prices are just too bloody dear....and scarce

I'm also a bit disappointed. I would have been in the game for this card.  :'( I would have prefered to lose it in a fair bidding, there have been too many bids for a withdraw.  Undecided

Well the seller got back to me and said that someone had bought it from their (Ebay) shop which is why it was withdrawn.  I have to admit I did not see it as a BIN in their shop but that must just be me.  They said they will have another up for sale soon but who knows how much writing it will have on it.

As for the price Maureen is spot on - it all depends on the swatch.  I was prepared to pay quite a lot for the other card because you could make out which part of the note it was from.  I wouldn't even go in at the opening bid on this new one.  No matter how rare and gorgeous it is, that is too expensive for wording you can't make out.

I know what it is.
By the waY, The bird bites.
The creases are from the bottom of the letter where it folds.  I double checked with the picture Tower posted.  Grin

I had marked it as a Favorite, and I went back and checked the  Ebay! listing, and it did not list a Buy It Now price.  You check some of her other listing in her store, and they list an opening bid and a buy it now price.

Hi ricks!!

Get back in contact with the seller ASAP to let them know of their mistake.
Hopefully they haven't sent your card out to someone else and can send it on to you, but expect to return the 'error' card at your own expense .... you could ask that they refund you these shipping costs as it's their error, just see what they say.  Praying
Please let us know how you get on won't you?  Wink

Enjoy the Yak Shack! Grin

Well another gorgeous card disappears under mysterious circumstances.  But then again we all know how easy it is to break or lose such an expensive card  Wink
