I have decided to only collect the auto cards from Harry Potter, so I am selling all the prop and costume cards I own, including some rarities.  I do have a few dupes of auto cards that I am selling as well.  Not everything is up yet, but I plan on listing more Monday evening.  So far, I have a set of prop and costume cards from GoF Update up there right now (but only one wand card).  Smiley

Here is a link to the auctions I just started tonight:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkeyser_soze!QQhtZ-1

If the link doesn't work, try doing a seller search for: keyser_soze!

Don't forget the underscore and exclamation mark or you will get someone else.  I hope that fellow Yakkers will end up with my stuff!  I live in the USA, just in case that matters.

Thanks for looking!

Best,

        Greg

Hey, gang!

I just put up the second wave of Potter cards tonight.  I now have 88 items up there including more autos, exclusives, costumes, and prop cards.

There's some good stuff on  Ebay! now such as this:

this:

and this:

Don't forget to check out all the stuff; I'm sure there's something there for almost everyone!   Cheesy

Best,

Hi Greg,

You have some great things. I was just looking at your auctions a few minutes ago and have my eye on a few things. My eBay id is southalla so if I bid, and more importantly win, you will know who I am. Best of luck with selling all of your items.

Hi Greg, I thought I should let you know there seems to be something funny that has appeared on your auctions.  I am watching (and drooling  Tongue) over most of them but in my Ebay it has now come up that the postage is over $27 for one card!  I can understand that type of postage if the card costs $500 but on cheaper cards  Undecided.  Anyway I thought I would let you know as this will put off many buyers.

Yeah, this is a definite problem, and I do realize that I will lose tons of bids.  The thing is, I guess it's better for me to lose a few bids (and a little bit of potential money) than to lose out all together.  I know that sounds weird, so please allow me to explain...

The postage is fairly cheap for Americans (I live in the US), but anyone outside the USA would have to pay an exorbitant shipping fee for Global Express, and I wish this wasn't the case.  You see, I will only use Global Express nowadays, and this service is bloody expensive.  I am sorry that the price is so high (that's the US Post Office's fault), but it is the ONLY way for Americans to ship packages to other countries with a tracking number that PayPal will accept as proof.  I have been forced to ship this way due to recent scams where someone gets the card and then claims they never did so they can get a full refund from PayPal. The money is then taken away from me and I am out the card and money as well (I'm even out the postage fees as PayPal takes that back too).

I do understand that the shipping price ends up kind of high (of course) for only one card.  The more cards you win, the cheaper it will essentially become, but if someone abroad is interested in a cheap card, you are right - I probably won't get their bid due to this high shipping rate.  However, at least Global Express is extremely reliable, ultra fast, and secure!

I hope you can understand my predicament.  It really concerns me because I don't want people to think I am gouging them (again, I don't set the rates - the US Postal Service does), but I have been left with little choice and therefore have to use this service.  I know that a package can be legitimately lost from time to time, but it seems that since people have gotten wind of PayPal's policy, they now have a license to steal.  I had a huge number of claims come through in a single month, whereas in the past, I had months without a single claim.  Something seems fishy here.  Again, without proof of delivery (such as a tracking number that PayPal will accept), I am totally screwed.  All I am trying to do is protect myself.  I have a large amount of money into these cards, and I really don't want to lose it just because someone feels he/she are entitled to "free" cards.  It seems it takes a small amount of people that can ruin it for everybody.

On the plus side, if someone was to end up winning one or more valuable cards, then I'm sure they will agree that it is well worth the security of sending stuff via Global Express.  Stuff gets there without a hitch, and super quickly, I might add (within about 3 or 4 days to most areas of the world).  I am not trying to complain or sound bitter above, but I do realize an explanation was due.  I know I could have just held auctions that only Americans could bid on, but that didn't seem fair either.  The whole thing just sucks.  Sad  I sincerely hope that people won't hold it against me.  I really didn't know what else to do.

Best,

        Greg

Well...

I put up the last of my card auctions tonight.  I do have other extra cards somewhere, but everything I have up now will be it for a while.

If any of you are into auto cards from Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, or X-Men, please check out my latest additions.  I also have a couple miscellaneous things like San Diego Comic Con exclusive Frankenstein sketch cards by Cat Staggs and another by an artist whose name eludes me.  There's also a Benchwarmer dual auto up there, as well as a Batman Cape costume card.  Quite a few random things, I admit...   Smiley

Anyway, thanks again guys for having a look.  Maybe you'll find something you've been wanting; there are now 111 items up there in total.  I started out all the auctions at only 99 cents and there are NO RESERVES on anything!    Shocked

Once again, my eBay name is " keyser_soze! " or you can click this link:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkeyser_soze!QQhtZ-1

I will post some sample photos below...

Take care,

               Greg

Thanks for that Greg, sorry I honestly thought there had been a mistake  Smiley.  I completely understand where you are coming from and just wish I could bid on your cards as they are gorgeous but unfortuantely the postage is just too high.  Good luck with your auctions  Grin

Yeah it put me off too Wink

Great cards, but since they aren't BINs I couldn't be sure of getting enough to justfy the postage cost. I'm totally understanding of the need to protect yourself with tracking numbers, and in fact I do the same for high value items, so I can't exactly blame you for it Wink but I do think it's ridiculous that you can't send something trackable outside of America for less than $27. Here it's about $12, and we call it "Rip off Britain" Wink

I have sent cards before overseas via Global Priority that can be tracked for about 10-12 U.S. dollars with the flat rate envelopes, but they weren't insured though.   Global Express however is much more pricey, but i've experienced that Global Priority is really reliable and pretty quick as well!
