Hi folks, yep it looks a wee bit different around here! The forum has been upgraded and hopefully is now a bit more secure. There is now a limit on the number of people you can PM at once (10) so hopefully that will stop any would-be PM spammers in the future, although that's only if the robots can get through our new registration process which has one of those things where you have to type in the word you see on the image. That oughta hold them for a bit! Hope the disruption was minimal for you all. Keep Piratin'!  Cap'n

Funky upgrade Mark!! Cap'n

Just a silly query really, but where's the link gone to the Price Guide? Shocked
Have you hidden it, do we have to run a search for it or am I just being dim? Wink

I've just logged in and had to type my password in twice rather than the visual thingie you described, but maybe I'll have to do the latter next time I login?
I also notice you've been busy weeding out the newer accounts ...  Roll Eyes Tongue

Oh and one last thing ... I've just tried using the spell checker and nothing happened except the 'Error on page' message ... dunno if it's something which needs tweaking? (The preview message function worked fine).

Mark only started this at 11.30 last night Wink so he was just glad to get it functional by morning Smiley

We'll iron out the probs asap, thanks for letting us know.

You won't need to do the visual thingimajig Jules, it's only for new members.

You can still catch the price guide at www.theyakshack.co.uk/tradingcards until Mark designs a new button for it (as you can see the button look has changed Wink so the old one doesn't fit)... we're sort of still in safe mode here Smiley

If you encounter any problems with anything, please let us know.

Yeah, I was a bit suspicious when I got an email from Colin Farrell @ the yak shack.

By the way, the new design looks great. Thanks!

Congrats on the new look Shack, cool blue  Cool.  Trouble is my memory is so bad I already can't remember what the old one looked like ROFL!.  But if my poor failing memory doesn't deceive me, the last time we had a major change (the Great Shack Crash of 2005) we also got a new smilie  Grin.  I know Mark is up to his armpits in programing at the moment but maybe we could all have a think about what new smilie we could have, if it was possible  Grin.

As always many thanks to Roz and Mark for all the hard work they put in to keep the Shack yakking  Smiley.

*blushes furiously* OOoooooooooooooo I hope you didn't think I was criticising all Mark's hard work - I had no idea he was upgrading the site last night!! Shocked Embarrassed
Hopefully you won't have to do any more to the site because of spammers for a little while now ...  Praying Wink
A new smiley - now that's an EXCELLENT idea ..... how about these? ...

OK! Here's the news... I've made links on the menu at the top for the price guide and for the comics (which incidentally is just www.theyakshack.co.uk, without the /forum on the end!). I've also added our ebay link (don't forget to click it when you want to bid on something on ebay because ebay give us a percentage of the listing fee if you win it!) and the link buttons which let you vote for my comics daily (if you like them) and donate (if you haven't bought any cards recently and are wondering what to do with all that money and want to help us out with our monthly hosting and bandwidth costs Wink).

I'll have a look at that spell checker now... enjoy!

Update:
How odd - I just tried using the spell checker and it worked fine! Anyone else having problems?
