Congrats on some GREAT pulls!  Grin I hope I do as well!  Praying

Stupid question: How do you know you have a gold base set in the tin?  Is it just that the Harry Potter writing and squiggle line is gold?  I was just wondering because if it is all wrapped up, how do you know that the other cards are the same?  And what is holofoil?  Huh  I've never gotten these before and I want to know what to look for.  Undecided

You don't know until you open the tin.  Mine was covered in shrinkwrap, but had no stickers on it.  Inside was the base set, also shrinkwrapped.  I thought it was a regular POA base set until I held it up and took a good look at, then realized the foil was gold instead of silver.  There are reportedly 32 POA gold foil sets.

The holofoil set comes in the same kind of tin, but there's a sticker that lists the contents (holofoil base set and 9 promos for POA and POAU).  Holofoil is on the words and squiggly line across the bottom of the cards.  It has a rainbow effect when you hold it up to the light.  It's different from the silver foil and personally, it's my favorite foil.  It's really pretty.

Nice pulls, Jackie! Smiley

I decided to open my retail box of POA update that I got with my mystery box and pulled a Weasley quidditch costume #1468/2803.  I thought it was cool considering I didn't expect to get anything out of it hehe

The POAU retail boxes had two costume cards -- a George Weasley Quidditch robe and a Harry black robe.  They were both numbered well over 2000, but at least the retail release seemed to be pretty much dud-free.  I can't remember reading that a retail box was missing a costume card.
